- Hey everybody! Parker York Smith here with my new men's style hacks series. The first episode is all about monochrome. This is a style technique that I learned awhile back where you match your top and bottom in color. It's almost guaranteed to make you look more stylish.
It works with any color and they don't have to match exactly. Just match the shade of the color, and then feel free to mix it up with your shoes and accessories. Make them a complimentary color if you want to add a pop of color.
I also am showing you 10 outfits for you to try. They range from really casual and easy to a bit more dressy and edgy.
Men's fashion doesn't have to be complicated! Knowing how to style yourself with reliable style hacks like this is an easy way to always look great. Keep it in your tool belt and bust it out when you don't know what to wear.

Great looks. Though I don't own a black suit. Mainly, because I feel that the only reason to own a black suit is if you're a musician, a mortician or work at a restaurant. A black suit can double for a tuxedo (in a pinch) if you don't have a tux. You will always get more use out of a Navy Blue suit. But, hay...always go with what works for you.

8:37 This jacket demonstrates something: TEXTURE contrasts are incredible with all-black, you can even play around with the super glossy stuff, even if you relegate it to accents. My go-to is more waxy and matte combinations, but I've seen some really cool stuff with glossy. Also... Off-black, or whatever you'd call it. Blue-black or brown-black are probably the most common ones, yielding cold and warm, these subtle differences can go a long way in color schemes, but easily washed out by colored light.
