Pretty exciting news, hope they keep up this pace, they could really turn things around. Feels like the first of many in a way. What I really want them to do is rework the POI system, stumbling upon carbon copies of the same exact locations really killed my immersion after around 70-80 hours. You know, with things like the cryo facilities, abandoned science labs and deserted UC garrisons. The same exact enemies, in the same exact locations with the same exact static loot. If it's gonna be the same, different variants would be nice. Maybe some kind of algorithm that makes a log of the places you visit and generates based on what you haven't seen yet, or seen in a while.
I'd love to see greater variety of random locations too. I'd like to see it being a bit more selective about what spawns too. Some planets definitely don't feel like they should have random man-made outposts. More crazy natural locations would be great.
So I was thinking about this the other day and I realized Starfield is in a unique position that no other Bethesda title has been in so far. The way you travel to planets and the map is generated each time opens the door up for them to add more things than they normally could. If you wanted to add new things to Skyrim you had to find spots on the map that didnt have anything going on, or make a whole new map. In Starfield's case they can create new POI's and then add them to the pool the system already pulls from. Theoretically they can add a ton and have them naturally integrate with the systems already in place. Now will they do this? Will it be as easy I described? Personally I'm keeping my expectations reigned in but they are in a unique position to address that particular complaint. I do fully agree with the complaint though. Level 100+ and the current POI pool is criminally shallow!
I have not logged on since December. I watched the video and got me interested in going back on. Cross fingers the land vehicle their testing works out. That will be fun.
Sooo much good stuff, quality of life and some really nice new features. First thing i'm gonna do is ramp vendor credits way up. But Bethesda seem to be on a roll this year. 76s, Atlantic city and all the new event content, the fallout show, now this, and the skyline valley update.
And we don't even know what the final two 76 updates will be or what else might be coming for Starfield besides the one DLC yet either. It's shaping up to be a good year!
i don't care much for star field Bethesda needs to sort out fallout4 as promised ,no quality mode at present on xbox very disappointed, 🤔good video though 👍
Feels like these past few weeks has been a nice revival for Bethesdas games. I'm very excited to try the fps update on xbox and play around the with new official custom settings it's a great addition. 👍
Well tomorrow i see if we can get 60 fps, i proffer quality do have a 4k tv, i hurd the tv also need certain ability. So as for my serie x, i hope i can make the shooting more to my liking, not they shot me 3 time am dead, i shot them i need 20.000 to kill. Sick of a game that do this, i play hard mod.
You should be able to get 60fps I think. The VRR requirement is more for odd frame rates I think. There's new settings that do a good job adjusting combat difficulty to suit different styles. I've increased everyone's damage output in my game so they can kill me pretty quickly but I can do the same to them too. It's been working well so far.
Does it keep track of the total buff or debuff somewhere when adjusting those settings that affect XP? Gonna be a pain of it don't keep a running total somewhere showing the total amount.

Yeah I do think that adding new POIs would be easy.... Designing them not so much but the systems to integrate them are most likely in place already.

Thanks for the video-looks interesting. I hope the Script Extender team will have cycles and sanity left after the Fallout 4NG update.
We can but hope. It looks like work is underway on that though. Hopefully things will go fairly smoothly!

Pleasantly surprised about the 60 fps on Series X. Was not expecting that at all. Hope they keep up the nice surprises with these updates.
The FSR3 patch on pc was nice. With a frame limit set it really saves power runs smooth and cool
It came as a surprise to me too. Cool that they've managed to make it happen. 😎

Not just interesting and informative, I found it exciting as well!
There's some awesome news in there! 😃
I’m happy for you but they’re fallout update was a fiasco and there’s not much hope in hell from me for them

It's been a darn good month to be a Bethesda fan for sure!

Great news, thanks for covering this. Excited to play again!
Me too. It's definitely the most exciting update they've done so far! 😃
@@DarthXionGames yeah completely agree. I was worried after the recent radio silence but it looks like it has been worth that extra bit of time.
Does it keep track of the total buff or debuff somewhere when adjusting those settings that affect XP? Gonna be a pain of it don't keep a running total somewhere showing the total amount.
It looks to be doing that on the right in the menu I think.
@@DarthXionGames can you tell if it has a total at the bottom?
It's on the right of the menu screen. 6:45
I'm not excited... you're excited!!!!
There's some good stuff coming down the pipeline!
