Thanks so much for making this video. I thought MacOS used to have a recent folder. I recall when I moved a bunch of files from one folder to another one by one, it would always provide me with the most recent folder in a sidebar. Maybe this was on MacOS 6-8 or so? I am not sure why Apple does not include this extremely common functionality by default. Thank you again.
It IS there by default. But note that "Recents" is not a folder. It is not a location. It is a list of recent files. Those files are all in their own locations. Recents is just a handy way to see them without having to go to all of those locations.
Good information though some of the info which is newer to me (such as Recent Folders) I had to back up and review the video multiple times. is there a way I can reduce the speed of your presentation? I don't hear as fast as I used to.

For some reason, on my Mac the Recents folder shows files I accessed weeks or months ago, but not ones I accessed hours or days ago.

Try re-indexing spotlight maybe.
