I watched your video yesterday. I made a few modifications that add a little leverage. I used an old PCP housing and nothced the top, then glued a 3/4" nipple to the bottom fitting as well as to a threaded 3/4" PVC tee. I also glued a 1/2" nipple and 1/2" threaded PVC tee to the bottom of the extension for the other piece. I would send you pictures if I could. Thanks for the inspiration!
It's been a few years, but I think it was 2" pipe. I did have to trim the inside of the 2" pipe with a Dremel tool a little bit to get it to slip over the PGP head.
I can't seem to figure out how to build you sprinkler body removal tool. Gluing a 4-inch pop-up head to the Hunter spray head is difficult. Are you selling it? Do you know of a company that has implemented your design and sells it? I found two products online that fail miserably because they are not designed to properly grip the sprinkler body *at the bottom* like the Hunter spray head does. Those designs try to grip the ribs on the side walls of the body, which does not create a strong enough grip.
The Hunter PGP spray head fits the body perfectly, but it needs to be lengthened so you have something to grab on to. I was scrounging around for something plastic so I could use PVC pipe cement to quickly bond the two together and discovered an old RainBird housing was just the right size. Honestly, anything would do. Maybe you can find a PVC pipe or pipe fitting that is a good fit. You could also expand your search beyond plastic, a large wooden dowel could be glued to an old PGP spray head with two-part epoxy or even a bit of metal pipe. Anything that makes the gutted spray head longer will do.

pretty darn smart, they should have listened to you and sold them
Great video. Love the home made tools.
Top notch idea all the way. What size diameter is the PVP pipe with the notches? Thank you for your response.

I can't seem to find the video you said you made on making the homemade tools. Do you have a link available? Thanks
