Elle, can you share which Ambient Lighting BRONZER that you have used here on your eyes? On the video at 5:45 it says DIFFUSED bronze light, but in the description it lists Radiant & Luminous. Just love love love this color on your eyes. If not, no worries at all, just thought that I'd check and see if you could tell. Thank you
Thank you! Great honest review. I also love Hourglass’s bronzers and blushes. The bronzers make gorgeous and natural eye shadows as you mentioned. Just received the mini size veil setting powder and I enjoy it more than the diffused light ambient lighting powder. I actually purchased the ambient lighting powder after watching a previous video of yours. Might need to try dim light instead. Love that HG offers mini sizes to test their various powder products. Thanks for the great video, tips, and feedback on what to spend the money on versus what to pass on. So very helpful!
Love your videos thank you so much for all of them. I’m 42 and lost in this makeup world. Thank you for breaking it all down for me and also teaching me how to do eye makeup on aging eyes. You and Dr. Drey are the best. 💜💜💜
Elle, I am new to your channel and I must say you have beautiful skin. Like you, I love Hourglass. Their ambient lighting powders and blushes are magical. I also love the cream eye make up in little pots, and I own several. They apply beautifully and I’ve gotten10 hour wear with them. More importantly, no touch up or separation on the eyelid. Hourglass consistently produces top quality make up. While it certainly can be considered a luxury brand, I have several other “luxury brands” that were more expensive and did not perform as Hourglass does. Being vegan and cruelty free is also a win-win for all concerned. I will be busy watching episodes of yours and you do have a new subscriber, I also appreciate how quickly and factual you are. I can’t wait to do a marathon on your older uploads until now, because I know I will learn something and that’s definitely a great thing💖
I would be interested in seeing a video of how the hourglass skin tint and the new colourpop skin tint compare to each other! Thanks Elle for all of your videos and the great information you share with all of us 😊
Love Hourglass powders, bronzer and blush. They are worth the cost and look beautiful on mature skin. Going to try the bronzer and blush as eyeshadow. 💗👍👍
Oh Lord, I could spend a FORTUNE at Hourglass! You look so gorgeous in this look! Think I'm going to purchase the blush this month, and finishing powder next month. Thanks for great video! ❤❤
I have darker skin and I love Hourglass Products. I even found a bronzer from them that works on my skin, also it could be a tad darker, I love it. I also love the blushes and ambient powders. I will continue to buy.
Found Ambient lighting diffused light through one of your videos. I use it for eyes and face. Best, hands down. Every translucent powder was just too cakey and broke up on my oily skin. This powder is the only one I’ve ever found that doesn’t give me polka dot pores. And the blushes too!
I agree Elle, I have not found a bronzer, blush, or powder that looks better on my 60 year old skin than Hourglass. I also find that, while expensive, they last a long time. I buy the smaller size packages and they last me so long and are just beautiful. Every time I wear them I get complements on my skin. I do wish they would make a nice luminous foundation!
Their products are exceptional...expensive... but exceptional. Thank you for showing us ways to use these that may be out of the box for some of us. ❤🌞
I am falling more and more in love with this brand. I just got the Nude Bronze Light and it’s proabaly the best bronzer I’ve ever used. Local Blue Mercury having a holiday sale, going tomorrow....still not sure what I’m buying...but if I spend $175, they are giving out a sample bag that includes a travel size Hourglass setting powder.
Hi Elle, thank you for another great video!!! Hourglass is by far my fav brand!!🥰. I agree with you the powders and blushes are the best kudos to them!
I did my eyes the exact same way you did with the bronzer only...wow...I love this!!!! In Texas...the fewer layers ...the better...gets to be one really EXPENSIVE sweat. Also, as a mother of an adult child with epilepsy, keeping you and your family in mind...nothing but best wishes and prayers for y'all🙏🙏🙏
This look is so pretty on you! Hour Glass is gorgeous for sure and I agree with the bronzers and blush as investments! With little products that you’ve used here I think it’s worth the splurge for sure!👍🥰
Loooove Hourglass! I have the Luminous Light and Dim Light Ambient Lighting powders and always feel BEAUTIFUL when I wear them. I don't love the mascara on my top lashes (it feels really stiff and my lashes are super straight) BUT I do wear it on my lower lashes because it never transfers. The skin tint looks fabulous! Thanks for the video!
The quality of the products really show in your finished look. Gorgeous. I use their powders too, the loose powder, ambient light and a blusher. Really lovely products to use and they do last a long time.
For me hourglass is the best at powders. Their finishing powders are my fav and their bronzer omg I'm obsessed. I cant wait to get another color of the bronzer and I need to try the veil setting powder.
I love Moodlight,Radient Magenta blush or occasionally Ethereal Glow!I love Incandescent Strobe Light on my eyes and as a highlighter! It is so subtle and blends superbly🌟I am 48 with light/fair skin. These powders are AMAZING!!!!💥🔥
Chrissy Moss if I had an inspiration board for skin, hers would be #1 for me. It’s absolutely beautiful and I recently bought the Tatcha line hoping to get there one day.
i know Im randomly asking but does anybody know of a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the account password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me!
So glad to hear you say you don't love their primers. I splurged on Mineral Veil;. The pump was terrible hit or miss if I could even get product out. The product was ok not special. Won't repurchase. Thanks so much for your honestly.
I think the Caution mascara is well worth it BUT the mini is actually better than the full size! Truly. I’ve heard many people say the same thing. Something about the brush. Anyway, it’s a fave. I fluctuate between Caution and Lash Paradise. Also, your tip ages ago about using a damp beauty blender with the powders is still one of my fave tips. 😊
Agree 100% everything you said, Elle!! LOVE Hourglass, esp. their talk free bronzers, powders & blushes! And their Caution mascara is my fave too. Best smudge free, but also lengthening & volumizing tubing mascara! Great esp. for sensitive/more mature eyes. And YES, would also love to see more natural finish, hydrating, luminous foundation from them 😘
Thank you for the video. I absolutely love Hourglass products!!!! I haven't tried their foundations but everything else that you talked about I've tried. I just bought their new Ghost palette and cant wait to get it!
Great job, I like the full brand review video! One thing to consider about spending money on lip products...of all the makeup we wear, the ingredients in lip products are what our bodies absorb the most. (If you are NOT on the whole ‘green/clean’ bandwagon, skip this post.) It makes sense if you think about it...after eating, drinking, and just licking your lips, you need to reapply the product. That lipstick has gone somewhere: into your body. So, if you’re trying to decide where to spend your money, or where to invest some time/energy to find a HG product, you may want to think about lip products. Also, clean doesn’t necessarily mean expensive anymore. You could get a ‘clean’ Bite Beauty lipstick/lip crayon (both are 50% off Sephora, $12 and $13), then also a mini version of the Hourglass finishing powder, if you’re on a budget. Just something to think about! I also get tempted by the huge variety of lipstick at the drugstore, or the newest Charlotte Tilbury launch with its gorgeous packaging. But if ‘clean’ beauty is something that interests you, choosing a clean lip product and foundation will make the most difference. And you might think about mascara next (personally, I love the mascara by W3ll People, and the Mirenesse Organic (tubing) mascara is my fave, of clean, drugstore, or high end options). Thanks for the video, it was really helpful (as usual) 😉
Great video Elle❣️ You turned me on to Hourglass and I love their powders!! One tip I learned from you was to apply the ambient powder under the eyes after applying concealer. This gives such a lovely bright look. I’m going to try the bronzers as eye shadows. This look was so pretty on you! You have the most beautiful skin❣️😍
Huge fan here as well 🖐 the face palettes are just so gorgious and versatile..i love using the deeper blushes and bronzer as shadows😍...great travel pallette👍been using the ambient under my eyes at your recommendation, loving it !!!😀beautiful look, you look amazing😍
Great video! I splurged on the Hourglass Ambient Light powder during a Sephora sale & never looked back! It is amazingly soft & reflective...my photos have never been better! 😂
Which color did you get? What made you decide because they all look so pretty and can’t tell what would work for me. The opal looks too white and the one yellow one not sure how that would be so leaning towards peach or champagne
Allyson Richardson I have Etherial Light. I always use it under my eyes, and sometimes will lightly dust the rest of my face. I am rather fair-skinned, so this works for me. The Sephora website has helpful descriptions of each of the shades and what they can do.
Thank you so much for posting this video! I finally tried the Hourglass primer, mineral veil loose powder, and the dim light trial sizes based on your recommendations. Where has this been all my life?!?! My makeup stays in place all day (12+ hours) on my oily skin and it looks airbrushed!
I just discovered your channel, and I'm blown away by this no-nonsense review of my favorite brand. I'm gonna use my Hourglass bronzer as eyeshadow tomorrow ! (I don't have the blush) thank you for making things easy and simple and also showing the versatility of their products (I am not the eyeshadow palette collector type). you just gained a sub' ;-)
If it'll mattify, I won't ratify! My skin looks like a detailed roadmap of any major U.S. city if I use matte foundations (without that bit of luminosity!) *or* many highlighters. I can usually only use 'em if I stipple them on... and *very* lightly! Thanks, lovely Elle! I'm anxious to try your bronzer eye/cheek concept 🥰🥰🥰!
I just picked up the new Ghost palette and I love it! I do have a couple of other powders, the under eye one you used and a highlighter. (I can never keep the names straight). You look gorgeous as usual! Thanks for this video!
Elle: When i apply Powder highlight it Sits on top of skin, brushes off, won't blend in & doesn't look Highlighted. 39yr old w/mature dry skin!! Suggestions??❤🎃❤
I love your videos and learn so much! Based on your recommendations, I've purchased a couple of blushes and the ambient light powder - I love them and their ability to multitask! The bronzer is next!💞
Interested in trying the skin tint. I currently use the Bare Minerals tinted gel cream and want to do a comparison. I love the ambient powder! I have the shade Mood which helps tone down some of the yellow tone in my skin.
Thanks for sharing your hourglass favorites! I SO want to buy the powders... will have to save $ for a bit as they are definitely out of my price range.
I have the skin tint in my Sephora basket and ordering it today. I have Ethereal Light that i love to put under my eyes and I have the Edit 4 that I absolutely looooove!!!!
This is a fantastic Video! You are so radiant and pretty :). I agree with most of what you said the Mineral veil primer is okay bit I dont notice a difference when I use it but the Ambient Lightning Powders are perfection (I own diffused, dim, mood and ethereal - that one is just to frosty for me). The bronzer in nude bronze is my go to and I own 4 AL and 3 strobe blushes... they are the best I ever found. The retouching fluid is the only concealer that does not make me look dry, the veil powder is great to set everything and the scattered lights are all I ever need on my eyes - Strangers stopp me in the streat when I wear them. Will you get the ghost palette? It is soooo lovely!
You looked so beautiful in this brand ❤️❤️❤️. This brand looks gorgeous on you ! Could you do an all brand video with makeup forever or Laura Mercier ? Love ya girl!
I got a sample of that mascara and I'm planning to try it soon. My lashes are really long which is great, but most mascaras end up smeared all over my brown bone and under my eye just from rubbing. So I'm always looking for ones that stay put. As for the powders, I love just using the AL powders to set as well (I use Etherial Glow). I'm really not good with makeup at all, but I find Hourglass products almost impossible to mess up with. That alone is worth the price. Oh, and every YSL lip product I've ever used has been worth the price. I've been using them for years and the quality is just there.
Hi Elle,I have a full blush defused heat & I love it,really lovely & a small bronzer which are good foe a small clutch bag & that’s all I can afford but yeah lovely brand 💕💕
Elle, I loved this full face of Hourglass. I just wish they were not so expensive! I wanted to ask a favor of you please. I would love for you to try a product that I purchased at Walmart in the hair accessories aisle. It is called Night Waves and it is a soft headband that you wear at night and then when you wake up, you have beautiful beach waves. I just love it and I think you would too! 😘
Hi Elle. Love your videos, some much helpful advice! I’m a darker skin tone (Mac NC40/42). What colour would you recommend in the ambient lighting powder to use all over the face?
A question for you Elle, what are your favorite brushes for applying the bronzer and blushes from Hourglass. Their brushes are expensive, are they worth the price to ensure the best application?
just updated the description box: + Big Brush for powder is BK Beauty: www.bkbeauty.com + Smaller Brush for under the eyes is Zoeva brush 134: go.magik.ly/ml/qnlk/
Hi Elle!!! What brush did you use for your blush in this video? I have a slanted one from Morphe and I hate how it picks up product and it doesn't distribute it very well. I've had it for years but just haven't found a good one.
What do you think of the No 28 Serum Primer? I’m concerned about all the essential/botanical oils, especially citrus oils. I don’t have sensitive skin, but my dermatologist recommends staying away from products with fragrance, even “natural” fragrance.
I love hourglass. The powders, bronzers and blushes are by far the best for mature skin. You and your videos actually turned me onto them and I am now addicted. I’ve bought almost everything from their line but not a fan of a lot of it. I’ve tried the mineral veil and it does nothing for me. I love the holiday palettes from last year and I’m loving the new ghost palette that just came out. The are perfect for travel as I use them for face and eyes. The skin tint is great but as you said, the other foundations are meh. I’m not a matte lover. I have them all but don’t use them. I like their lipstick formulas but have problems with the colors. I own so many but haven’t used them because the colors all seem too dull and brownish for me. I like more pinks, plums and mauves and I cannot find decent colors in any of their formulas. I did get the ghost lipsticks and have been using them. They are the closest I’ve found to my preferred shades. I just started adding up in my head all the money I’ve spent on hourglass products that are sitting there going to waste and it’s depressing! I need to find someone to give all this stuff to before it all gets thrown out. The powders, skin tint, mascara, scattered light shadows and the gel eye liners are great. The rest can definitely be passed on for more affordable products.
I would really like your opinion on something. I love a very dewey complexion and don’t wear any foundation. I’ve been wanting to buy the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter for months and almost brought myself to it. But then, I realized that I have the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder I Iove and that this may be a redundant purchase. I would love your insight. 🙏
Thank you for being so honest, it really helps with choosing the right products to spend on.❤️ P.S. I love the shade of your nail polish. What color is that?
I love this type of video. Please do more. I’m willing to splurge on things that are worth it and save on things that perform just as well as high end. I have 2 kids in college and need to save where I can. I did try the milani blush because people say it is a dupe for the hourglass ones but hated the milani because it was so shimmery. Are the hourglass blushes that shimmery? That’s the only reason I’ve not invested in them. I’ve purchased hourglass veil powder because it’s translucent and want the finishing powder but don’t know what color to get. Any advice for light/medium skin? Is the wrong shade going to make that big of a difference?
Have you ever tried the Becca Khloe & Malika palette? I feel like this product rivals Hourglass. Not sure why it doesn’t seem to be touted by a lot of youtubers. I love it
Have you ever tried Vapour Beauty products? Cruelty free also. and....So what primers do you feel works well with Hourglass foundations..esp Illusion and Immaculate? Thank you in advance.
Hi I have oily skin but I don’t like to makeup to be matte because it makes me look older and my fine lines show more so my question to you is I have been wanted to try the hourglass veil translucent setting powder do you think it will be good for me ? Or should I pass and do you have any other recommendations
Hi Elle! I purchased the little travel sized Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder in Diffused Light. I've been using it to sort of set my concealer or Foundation or whatever it is and I'm using under my eyes that day and I'm still noticing a little bit of creasing. I try my hardest to make sure that I've smoothed out the under-eye perfectly or as good as it's going to get... I just still feel like I'm seeing it settled into some fine lines underneath my eyes. Now don't get me wrong, this is by far the best that I've ever tried, however, I just wanted to see if this was normal or not. I'm sure no matter what I do I'm 39 years old I'm going to have fine lines under my eyes but I was hoping that it would really really smooth everything out. Can I take this powder and put it all over my face? Or do you just think that this is best for under eye? I tend to do it under my eye, on my eyelid, down the bridge of my nose, and a little bit on the very parts of my face where my cheek pain ends next to my nose I couldn't go up like a little triangle under my eye. But in Reverse LOL don't know if you can imagine that or not but that's what I do. My make-up turns out looking really really beautiful. I'm glad I purchased this powder. I just want to make sure that I'm using it correctly so that I get the best result out of this product. Thanks again for this tutorial! I've been really really waiting for this one. Lots of love, Misti
you can totally use this all over the face I do it all the time!! as far as the under eyes, it depends on the concealer you are using, how much you are using, ect., Also that part of our face is mobil so creasing in something most of us can't get away from
@@ElleLearyArtistry I agree. I feel like I'm always going to have little lines under there no matter what I do. LOL! I love this powder so much. I'm excited to know that I can take it all over the face. And the foundation that I use is the Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation and it's pretty thin and sheer coverage so I typically take it up underneath my eyes and sometimes if I want my eyes to be a little bit brighter underneath I'll add some of the Too Faced Born This Way concealer which is on the thicker side! That might be where the problem lies. I'm also having a really difficult time finding a pore filling primer. Like you're always saying, they have that slick silicone in it and it just really sucks. My face look amazing and then the peeling starts... I hate most primers. I came across one by ILIA. It says true skin radiant priming serum firming + smoothing aloe infused. Do you know anything about this product? I think it's a green product. It may not be pore filling but I noticed it does keep my foundation on a little bit longer. I just wish I had porless skin again LOL! I'm pretty sure having my babies did this to me. Lol! Thanks for the feedback! Love your videos! Love and blessings, Misti

Hi 🤗 bronzer and blush on the eyes 😳 WOW!!!! That is beautiful!!! 😍
Their finishing powders are magical!
Elle, you should be the face of Hourglass. Your skin is so ethereal!
wow thank you! I would die to do that
Dim Light is an all time favorite for me!!
WOW! Elle, this is a GORGEOUS finished look! You rocked it girl!
Agree 100%. I don’t mind spending money on Hourglass powers & blushes , last forever. Stunning tutorial 🌷

I'm buying the ambient powder palette for my engagement shoot on Sunday. So excited to use it!

Thank you Elle great video! I am also a lover of Hourglass blushes and finishing powders💕
Always love watching you, Elle. Thank you.
I just discovered your channel, and I'm blown away by this no-nonsense review of my favorite brand.
I'm gonna use my Hourglass bronzer as eyeshadow tomorrow ! (I don't have the blush)
thank you for making things easy and simple and also showing the versatility of their products (I am not the eyeshadow palette collector type).
you just gained a sub' ;-)
awe yay!! welcome love xoxo
I love this brand too! Thanks for leading me to try them Elle❤️
Love love love Hourglass and YSL is my fave lipsticks.
Great video Elle. As always you look absolutely stunning. You started my love affair with the hourglass powders. They are so worth every penny. ❤
Just simply beautiful!!!
Thank you so much!
Hey Elle! What brush are you using for bronzer in this video? Do you use luminous light or radiant light bronzer?
Thank you for your honesty, as always.
I just picked up the new Ghost palette and I love it! I do have a couple of other powders, the under eye one you used and a highlighter. (I can never keep the names straight). You look gorgeous as usual! Thanks for this video!
thanks Pam!!
The bronzer is next!💞
yay!!!
Elle, did you use your regular skincare under the Hourglass tint?
yep!
Thank you! I am also a huge Hourglass fan and this was a great video
I also love Hourglass and love your tutorial!
Hi Elle,I have a full blush defused heat & I love it,really lovely & a small bronzer which are good foe a small clutch bag & that’s all I can afford but yeah lovely brand 💕💕
such a beautiful skin .
what!>!?!? omg I need to get that
Hi Elle. Love your videos, some much helpful advice! I’m a darker skin tone (Mac NC40/42). What colour would you recommend in the ambient lighting powder to use all over the face?
dim light or Radiant Light xoxo
love your channel!
My experience with HG ambient original pallet not for my mature skin. Having said that love love nude bronzer and mood blush.
A question for you Elle, what are your favorite brushes for applying the bronzer and blushes from Hourglass. Their brushes are expensive, are they worth the price to ensure the best application?
oh my gosh totally no I don't think you need them. I honestly like zoeva brushes
Thanks Elle!
Could you please tell me what powder brush you are using? It looks so soft.
just updated the description box:
+ Big Brush for powder is BK Beauty: www.bkbeauty.com
+ Smaller Brush for under the eyes is Zoeva brush 134: go.magik.ly/ml/qnlk/
Thank you!
There is a Blue Mercury near me that sells this line. Thinking about trying a few of these products.
Hi Elle!!! What brush did you use for your blush in this video? I have a slanted one from Morphe and I hate how it picks up product and it doesn't distribute it very well. I've had it for years but just haven't found a good one.
Love hourglass powders and blushes !
yes!!!
What do you think of the No 28 Serum Primer? I’m concerned about all the essential/botanical oils, especially citrus oils. I don’t have sensitive skin, but my dermatologist recommends staying away from products with fragrance, even “natural” fragrance.
I would agree with your derm
Milani’s baked bronzer in Dolce is an excellent dupe for Ambient bronzer in light.
I just bought Laura Mercier Hydrating setting powder and wish I had bought the Hourglass again.
Hourglass is the BEST
I would really like your opinion on something.
I love a very dewey complexion and don’t wear any foundation.
I’ve been wanting to buy the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter for months and almost brought myself to it.
But then, I realized that I have the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder I Iove and that this may be a redundant purchase.
I would love your insight. 🙏
I r just reated myself to the veil translucent the lipstick in the gold case which can be used as a weapon 😉 and the primer - it works for me 👍
woo hoo!!
Thank you for being so honest, it really helps with choosing the right products to spend on.❤️ P.S. I love the shade of your nail polish. What color is that?
awe thank you!! to be honest I don't remember xoxo
New subscriber here! Loved this honest review!
Was curious how luminous flush compares to vibrant flush blush in the new sculpture palette?
welcome to the fam!! it is a bit more bit
Elle Leary Artistry thanks! It’s a bit more?
I agree!! no these blushes are more luminous not shimmery
Thank you.. Beautiful..
Would you use the same make up if you had glasses?
yes!!
Have you ever tried the Becca Khloe & Malika palette? I feel like this product rivals Hourglass. Not sure why it doesn’t seem to be touted by a lot of youtubers. I love it
no I haven't but I will look into it
Have you ever tried Vapour Beauty products? Cruelty free also. and....So what primers do you feel works well with Hourglass foundations..esp Illusion and Immaculate? Thank you in advance.
Josie Maran tinted SPF, too faced hangover primer
@@ElleLearyArtistry Thank you for responding!!! Helps me a lot
I love Hourglass too and I agree all products don’t worth their prices 🥰
