The year is 2000, I’m five years old and in kindergarten, my dad wakes me up for school by playing this song on full blast scaring the shit out me 🤣 I miss being a kid

I remember hearing this when i was only about 6-7, booting up Duke Nukem. Absolutely fell love in love with the intro and premise, but the sound itself was the most enthralling to me, and introduced me to the sound of Wayne and Static-x. I've never regretted that moment.

A copy/paste of a comment I posted in another video (didn't want to retype it all, sorry lol). It's a good story that I thought would be nice to share. Really shows how much they appreciated their fans. I can't help but almost start cryin' when i listen to "Static X", now. It reminds me of a concert I went to in "San Jose". Myself, a couple friends, and about 30 other people waited where the tour buses exit in the hopes of meeting them. Well, we got something better than that. Their tour bus stopped, "Wayne" got out, shook everyone's hand, gave us all this album (Wisconsin Death Trip), and then told us to follow the bus. Well, we all did that, and a few blocks down they stopped, the band got out, and started cooking hotdogs on a small grill LOL They actually took the time to hang out with fans who were willing to stand outside, in the cold, just to get to get the opportunity to meet them. Not many bands do that stuff, unless it's to promote an album, or they're getting paid to do it. We lost a very humble musician, and someone that truly appreciated his fans
ya kinda sux... I remember seeing "Push it" video in Target video and I couldn't wait to buy the album... bought all of them :-( I was devastated when I heard the news...
Met him many times. Interviewed him and hung out backstage and partied. Wayne was soft spoken and introspective. Cool guy and a rocker thru and thru. Peace & Good Vibes Wayne on your continuing journey...
I used to hear this song on the old wal mart sample things, and honestly it scared me to death. But I ended up buying the album. Awesome album by an awesome band.

My sister introduced me to this band when this song was brand new...she pulled up in her new Honda Civic and we went out in town and she had this song cranked to the max. Aftermarket stereo with 3 12 inch subs in the trunk...only thing that would have been better was if the subs 10's so they could keep up with the drums...no other way would I have ever wanted to be introduced to this band. I was a freshman in high school.
Duke Nukem:Land Of The Babes, this was the 1st time i heard this song and got hooked. RIP Wayne Static, what a talented musician he was...you are sorely missed.
Ne'huatl Chango he died way to late all the drugs and booze he mixed. I know what you mean though I love static x but I'm surprised he made it to his 40s is all
You go on your last trip man. The Wisconsin Death Trip! I will always remember Static-X as one of the first bands that got me into (nu) metal in the first place. Thanks!
Just heard this song earlier today on radio and digged it so much I had to look it up. Sad to hear that the vocalist died because I just heard of them. Feel like I missed out but definitely will check out other songs 🙌
First time I heard this on the Radio I was 14 and thought he was saying... "You're Bullshit"...utterly confused I was like... "Wow they didn't even censor it"!
Eh, the other guys in the band found a fake Wayne and they'll be touring with Dope and Devildriver this year. It'll probably be fucking terrible but at least there's Devildriver and Dope to make up for it.
It wasn’t “fucking terrible” at all. Wayne would be beyond pleased with the performance/tribute. Shit blasted me back to my childhood when I went to go see them live in Tempe at their first stop. I’m almost certain the new frontman is Edsel dope, but they’re keeping it a mystery. Highly recommend checking them out if you get the chance.
Part of my teenage years. Will miss the lead. Total different sound and experience. I love it when they tag-teamed with NIN. Such a rush, especially their version of Closer. I wonder what other trippy, amazing music mix this band would've made with todays' rock bands.
Love this album. Static x in 99 were doing it right. They made me love that machine electronic metal shit, all I can say was they were fucking unique to my ears.
