2014 🇩🇪 Germany vs Japan 🇯🇵 🏐 Women Indoor Volleyball 🏐 BCV Montreux Volley Masters

2014 was World Championship year. It was one of the important tournaments that many team aimed to get good result. After one year of trial & errors, many teams started to settle their lineup. In 2014, USA, Germany, Japan & Dominican in same pool while China, Russia, Brazil & Swiss in another pool. Top 2 teams rank in each pool will play against Top 2 in another pool in semi-final.
Post Match Commentary :
In 2013, Japan tried a new tactics 'MB1' which only one middle blocker on court but with 4 wing spikers. As there were no good middle blocker after 2012. It had been used in 2013 World Grand Champion Cup but 2 middle blocker normal form was used in this touranment. Headcoach used new players again. #12 Arisa Inoue (19yo, 1.78m), #4 Arisa Takada (27yo, 1.75m), #20 Mami Uchiseto (23yo, 1.7m) were newly selected in the team. #12 was still university student and she was the key player in 2022-24 Nippon squad. For Germany, quite a lot of old players in played in this tournament. #14 Margareta Kozuch (28yo, 1.87m), #4 Maren Brinker (28yo, 1.84m), #11 Christiane Fürst (29yo, 1.93m) were in the team. Japan won Germany day earlier and they will go semi-final if won this game. But coach decided to use new form again in this match. #4 & #9 was rest who were top scored player in previous game. Germany #14 got 18 points. 7 blocks in German side but 1 in Nippon. Nippon #20 & #12 got 10 points each.
