Episode 223 - The Deacon's Corner

Happy New Year!
As we head back into Ordinary Time in the Church's Liturgical year, we, right off the bat, have an extraordinary reading about Jesus casting out demons. As we know he came to save the lost and forsaken, the blind and the lame. Is there any one of us that doesn't fit in one of those categories!?
Jesus begins with the man with the unclean spirit. Follow him through the scriptures and he does this over and over. Excising demons because the "prince of this world" , "the strong man", Satan, has his days numbered. The demons know it because Jesus is asked by the Demon, "What have you to do with us?" and His answer is - Nothing!
That's the kind of savior we have. No time for the enemy and He's getting right to work. Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord!
