The name "donut steel" makes me think that the color is referencing Coldsteel the Hedgeheg
I kinda wish the Cotton Floss Pom palette made her dogs a baby blue colour, since pink and blue are the most popular candyfloss/cotton candy colours. I wish her original palettes took advantage of the duo concept more than they do.
Some ideas I have for this:
Rosemary & Thyme (Scarborough)
Based on the herbs. Since both are similar shades of green, they could use a different colour found on either plant, such as the purple of rosemary flowers, or a cream of the “stripes” on the leaves. The name refers to the song “Scarborough fair” by Simon & Garfunkel, based off of the repeated line “Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme”.
Hooligan Punk is a Team Yell ref.
What Shall We Do might be based off of Pipsqueak.
Fizzy Lemon might be based off of one of the MLP background characters (forgot the name)

Why would the Kai based color palette be called 'I'm so sorry'? I don't think he ever felt that way in the movie.
His theme song were based on a song made by Imaginary Dragon called: "I'm so sorry"
How do you get skins
Are you on console? If you’re playing on PS4/5, press “options” before selecting the character with X to change their palette. There should be a box underneath the character telling you which button it is. I’m sure the buttons are equivalents on other consoles.
