It's so funny how generations work. I was 10 when the women won the 1999 World Cup and I would have freaked out meeting Brandi and Julie. I would be excited meeting the current team, but there's something about a childhood fandom that cannot be topped. These talented girls where excited to meet Brandi and Julie but they were really pumped to see the current team. Just shows how influential these women are to multiple generations.
I had the honor of attending The 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup, and was in awe of the entire team. I can still pretty much name each member and their successors. As a lifetime fan and supporter of the USWNT and club soccer, it is such a joy to see the positive impact the 99ers and current World Cup champions continue to have not only on girls and women but the world.
Such a sweet surprise for the youths to meet their idols & see them be so supportive of the new generation as remodels that can bring them such happiness for the sport to continue with the hard work to become professional players in the future... Go Team USA..Greetings With Love & passion for women's soccer all the way from Sweden...
