Valk no longer cutting off your beam upon activating it just feels so good.
Especially if a big fight is breaking out, and you have it for that moment, seamless chain damage boost/healing feels great.
Is anyone else having issues with their comms wheel commands not being said by their hero/teammates? I saw eley said sorry at 6:19 but Mercy stayed silent. "Group up" is also back to teh way it was at the start of ow2, where youd say "on my way"... pretry annoying

The mercy buff is really really nice! It feels like it flows better mid fight (idk if that makes sense?) however I never realized how much I relied on that beam break sometimes. Like for example I’m pocketing my dps and notice my tank and other support are across the point and low I’d just valk and my beam would break of my dps and onto my tank where I’m looking! It’s still possible to do that it’s just an extra button press it’s just something I’ve gotta relearn 😅
Same! It's a good quality of life change for Mercy players, but I think I've gotten so used to relying on that beam break to valk and immediately switch beam targets. 😭
If you change setting to GA prefer facing target you should still be able to fly to other teammates while keeping the beam on the person that you have.
I love this change.. especially in those moments where it’s either you valk and someone dies or don’t valk until whoever you’re keeping alive is safe enough to not due because the beam bribe

I think one major tip watching your videos and also being a mercy main for years now is knowing when to rez. Before I used to immediately go for it and then end up dying… mercy is so valuable for the team you need to always assess the risks/value of rez. Don’t let others players pressure you if you think it’s not a safe rez! ❤ Love your vids!!
The new Valk change is actually so smooth that its taken some HARD getting used to. It still does the beam break animation and I some times find myself instinctualy clicking a teammate to reattach it and thus break it myself haha
We shouldn’t let blizzard think because they added a QOL change to Mercy years after the games release it’s a “buff”. This was a change that should have been implemented years ago… the fact it wasn’t in the game to me haha as just pure laziness.

Yes , a good tip: damage boosting when he has his healing when doing damage is actually more helpful than healing itself. The more damage he does , the more health he gains ! I love doing that

Yes!!! I’ve been getting so annoyed bc I play on Xbox and after the update Mercy’s movement feels so slow at times and sometimes when I jump it feels like I’m floating to the ground even slower than usual. 😢

I actually thought I would like the ult not disconnecting the beam, but I am kind of annoyed at that feature now to be honest. i dont know if it is because I am not used to it or I just really find it not nice. But it slows me down in some ways
It’s just you aren’t used to it. It’s a buff I’ve been asking for since the start of ow1 but even having it now, 7 years later it just feels weird. It’s definitely a good change just a hard one to get used to since most mercy players are used to the disconnecting beam

It’s a setting. Guardian angel prefers beam target on/off/or mixed (I don’t remember the exact name of that third option). The mixed is a favorite of a lot of mercy players. If you want to be able to fly to other character you aren’t beamed on you want it off or mixed.
