Yeh thoda unexpected thaa, but fork seal leak hogi. Ghar mei spare thee so decided to change it, thode special tools toh chahiye but ghar pe aaraam se hojata. Luckily i had spare fork seal and fork oil in stock at home, so all done, just thought of sharing :)

The exact quantity is 460 cm3 which is equal to 460 ml
I checked this in service manual provided to mechanic.
The quantity you mentioned Is it per fork are for both forks ?

Hi bro what happens if we fill more than 460 ml , will it cause any problem or is it okay to fill more, because my cone set was changed by my yamaha authorised mechanic because there was lot of noise when I used to ride it in uneven road surfaces he told it needs to be replaced.
But even after replacing the cone set the noise still persisted even after replacing the new cone set part .
So he told fork oil level might be less and he just topped up fork oil by opening the top aluminium cap.
Surprisingly the noise from coneset is no longer there and the steering feedback is improved now and noise from coneset disappeared completely.
But Is it safe or will it cause any problems in future .

Hello sir ji maine dono side ki fork oil and seal genuine dala local garage pe but usne andar ka seal ka niche ka washer screwdriver 🪛 marke niche kiya avhi mera 10 days ke baad dono fork pe thoda thoda leakage ka nishhan aarah hai bahut problem hua kya kare sir ji
Hello bhai. Washer Matlab woh copper bushing jo fork mein fit hot hai right. Waise screw driver sahi tarika nahi hai usse fit kerne ka, damage ka chance rehta hai. But agar patience se Kiya jaye toh damage kam ho jata hai. Next time take it to a mechanic who has right tools to minimize damage.
But for now don't worry. Kabhi kabhi naya seal dalne ke baad thoda residue oil reh jata hai. Toh ho sakta hai wo abhi aako dikhe. Please clean the fork properly before and after every ride for next couple of days and it should vanish. Please do let after 7-10 days ki fork par oil dikna kam ho raha hai ya badh raha hai. Clean roz kariye ga magar tab tak

Hi brother i have a R15 v3 it feels hard to the holes on the road n theres no any oil leaks even i change the springs when u open from up n the oil but still feels hard not smooth is it normal??

Sir meri bike sirf 6K km run hui hai aur right fork oil seal leak hone laga.. service center wale bol rhe ki seal oil sab badalna padega... To fir ye to oil ka paisa loss hua na.. kyuki avi chali hi kitni hai...
Oh. But change to kerna padega, better rahega long term ke liye, kyouki jab purana oil drain kerke fir waapis delta hai to usme fine metal scraping etc nai seal firse kaat skate hai. Toh best hai ki saath ke saath hi oil bi naya dale. Cheers

Sir help... Service center guys are saying that the pipe is damaged and they need to change the pipe... It's costing a lot... They are showing a ultra small type of scratch and mentioning it as the reason of leakage... Please suggest something... Where can i send you the picture...?
@@a.ksingh2244 hey mate, I see, yes sometimes the tube gets small scratches or pitting. It could have been because of some pebble or stone hitting the fork tube. And it will keep damaging the new seal as well. Depending on the amount of damage, they might be able to use finer grit sandpaper to evenly polish and make the surface even. But if the scratch or dig is too deep, its best to change the tube 😐
@@farcerides7041 It is just a very very small scratch which can not be observed simply.. i went to a well known mechanic after returning from service center.. and he said there is no need of changing the tube sandpaper will do the work... So i am changing the seal and the oil only... And i am really sorry for disturbing you...😔 I was helpless and thanks for your reply...❤️

Hi bro, is it necessary to change the oil seal even if it is not leaking? I have ridden my v3 for 14000kms and want to clean the forks and change the oil. So should i install new oil seal or will the old ones do the work?

I have been facing issues in the steering bearing/ cone bearing since v2 and now in my v3 i am facing same probelm, they don't last more than 5k kms do you have any idea for that? I wanted to know your views on engine flushing is it recomended ? I have been using moutl 7100 10w40 full synthetic oil and my bike has clocked 12k kms in the odo
Hey mate
So first question- well coneset life depends on proper adjustment and greasing. I don't want to undermine service centers but very few bother to do greasing, and even fewer now how to adjust
Second question- not a big fan of flushing. Please understand that it does work but has has to either be done from first service or not done at all. Now the problem is that people showing it works are either paid ads or are anticipating to get paid ads. Period..
Third question- motul 7100 10w40, you got this one right mate. I am not being paid by motul but have been using their engine oil for over a decade now and results have been surreal. My v2 itself has done 50000+ kms with no issues till date. Also I should mention that its running on same coneset it came out of showroom with 7 years ago. And looks like still would last another few 1000. Key there was to clean and grease every 10-12000 kms and adjust as and when needed which could be anywhere from 2 to 5000 kms
I am shocked to see that in our country everyone wants to be a biker but no one wants to be a true rider and enjoy and take care of their bikes.
All dependency is just on service centers, who seriously dont care.
Did I mention that of all my bikes none are serviced at service center. Ever. Like not even in warranty.
If your reliance is on service center to take care of ur bike, please stay away from this channel. That is all I can say. I mean come on, 5000 for cone set. I mean cant get worse then this. My sincerest apologies mate. Respect and to each his own. Have a good one and stay safe.

Respect and adulations mate good stuff.
Now for this kind of riding even that extra effort in maintenance is not gonna cut it. Wear and tear is excessive in stunt riding so just do the maintenance part of clean and grease but be ready that the parts will indeed rear out lot faster then regular rider.

I grease all the moving parts on rach 8k kms wchich includes the cone bearing too. May be the road conditions are to treacherous for the track focoused bikes .You're right man, service centers are horrible here dude a break pad costs Rs.2800 here a oild filer costs Rs600 and air filter costs Rs.800. I've been servicing my bike myself. It is my therapy. Your videos have been a go to for all the queries. I changed my fork oil with the help of your video i used castrol racing 10w fork oil since all my motocross friends recommend it to me . Thanks alot for sharing it with us.
When should we change the motul ? I change it at each 2500kms well, the dude that sells me the oil says it can go for 6k easily and yes thank you for the response much more appreciated. Hope to see your next video soon
@@farcerides7041 no man not at all, i am.not a stunt rider at all, i actually shot the video long long time ago. I love my bikes i know they are ment for track i wouldn't anything rash to harm it.
Well, i just enjoy riding it on the twisties , it handles way better than the v2 . Gives you more and more confidence no matter the lean angle once i switched to DUNLOP ALPHA 14Z
@@asubasnet2922 you are doing everything thing to perfection. 10w fork oil is indeed ideal and recommended spec. As for the oil, yes 7100 being fully synthetic can last longer between changes. Depends on how much is evaporating. Do keep an eye out at the oil level and top up every time it starts to go down and check every 500 kms.
Now as for the coneset, well it should still last longer. Since you mentioned that you keep it well greased periodically, I suspect correct spec adjustment as the the factor for early wear. Will try a do a vid on it

If u want the perfect damping fork you need to fill 469 ml fork oil. 10w yamalube . Version v3.0 and mt 15
