- Theres nothing I enjoy more than fishing after a big rain! In this video, I head out to do some urban pond fishing for monster bass, get some quality fish, anchored by one true monster!!

One year fishing from a dock, i stopped to help some kids who were trying to fish also.
As i did so, one of the boys ( about 9 yrs old) in the group dropped his line by accident over the edge, WHAM!! A 24" in., 5+ lb bass whacked his line! Ya gotta understand that up here👉🖐️thats a huge bass!

I also fished the rain on Christmas eve! Did pretty well. Those warm winter rains are essentially a power plant discharge to the bass. If you’ve ever fished a power plant lake in the winter almost 100% of the fish will be in the warm water discharge.

I did the same thing that you did on Christmas. Went fishing for about thirty before I had to spend time with my family. I caught 4 bass. A couple two pounders and a 3pounder and a 5pounder.

We might have 10,000+ lakes in Minnesota but most of them are unfishable unless you have a boat, or they’re too shallow to keep fish without freezing out. I’d love to go flip baits on little ponds like that, it looks like a blast!

Amazing how biggins are so resilient. That gill rake was probably from eating a crappie or bluegil, and the fish got stuck in its gills I’ve seen it first hand

Nice big bass. I think the injury is a gill raker that has basically turned into scar tissue. It doesn't seem to be effecting the fish much though.
