Honestly what hurts the influencer scene more is two of your largest egos have shown relatively little growth despite billing themselves as the top of the food chain.
KSI with a gameplan of purposely trying to get hit in the back of the head and Logan never having someone correct his awkward flailing punches make for bad viewing.
As insufferable as Jake can be I at least respect the progress he's shown.

These are day one boxing fundamentals and in result there is no snap on his punches

Dillon barely trained, went out drinking the night before, didn’t have a coach and still didn’t get knocked down or ever seemed in any danger from Logan.
Logan has boxed for 5 years and couldn’t do what Jake did against Askren, Woodley, Silva or even Diaz.

The only fight I can see getting hype after this would be Jake vs KSI, Jake vs Logan or MAYBE Tommy vs McGregor, because as far as other influencer boxers go, none of them are popular enough or good enough to gain any real momentum.
Let’s be real: influencer boxing only became big because it was started by some of the biggest RUclipsrs at the time.
They’re still the ones doing it to this day and everyone else who started out with them has dropped off.
With no new stars to sell PPV’s and no upcoming RUclipsrs training, the influencer side of boxing will be dead within 2 years.

I’ve seen dudes that he has coached for a year or two who just can’t grasp the concept of throwing a good punch. I just don’t think Logan is a fighter and needs to stick to WWE.

At least Logan tried. Honestly the main event was so much worse. KSI and Tommy were such a disgrace to boxing. With their clinching the entire fight. No one got their jab going. No one utilized combos and distance management. It's a shame that it was the main event and one is technically a "pro boxer"

I'm starting to believe I'm the only person who genuinely loved this fight for what it meant. It genuinely was amazing to see everything I predicted not only play out, but mean something. It meant sometimes when Dillion COULDN'T do anything and Logan could do everything to him after Dillons onslaught on social media.
In short, Dillon thought that he could walk in on some bullshit and got his ass whooped for it

Dillon didn’t help but Logan being a outside fighter and not sitting on any punches was terrible too. Sensei would’ve atleast dropped Dillon and I don’t even think that’s a wild claim there was no boxing skill shown and he left himself open to shots multiple times.

It’s not like there was any hype or drama about wanting to see this fight before Dillion began to promote it. Before Logan picked him, Dillion was a MMA fighter recovering from a fairly serious knee injury who has barely had any MMA fights in Bellator. Then he somehow got the KSI fight which he bailed on last minute.
Unless Logan had his head buried under a mountain he knew exactly what he was getting into when his team reached out with a boxing contract. Don’t get me wrong both Logan and Dillion are awful people with all of their scams and whatnot. But Logan did far more damage to this influencer boxing scene than anyone else.

The most embarrassing parts of the fight was when Logan stuffed his takedown attempt and when Dillon went all out on that guillotine attempt and failed miserably (granted it was the 6th rd and it’s no doubt they were so sweaty that it just slipped right out especially when trying a standing guillotine from that angle) but I legitimately think that Logan’s Wrestling defense is better than Dillons wrestling attack.. regardless it was dreadful to watch and Logan is absolutely pitiful, to be that sauced up and big to not be able to even seriously wobble or knock down a guy who literally didn’t train at all and completely embarrassed your fiancé and you for months is ridiculous

Excusing Logan is the dumbest thing that could be done here. Also, Dillon won by DQ. Logan's security got in the ring before the match was called. The ref was worthless.
Did you actually watch the fight? Dilon tried 3 illegal takedowns in the 6 round fight and the fight was over before Logan's security entered the ring. The bell was never rang but they showed the counter up until 11 seconds and I counted out 13 seconds before Dilon got off the ground after the last takedown and charged after Logan. The bell should've gone off before he got up. You are right the ref was worthless because he should've DQed him after the 2nd illegal takedown attempt.
@@ICP1SBJ Unfortunately I watched the whole thing. I definitely didn't see three takedown attempts, I saw one, and that was right before he got punched on the ground and the security jumped in. Pretty sure that's just a negative point. However, punching an opponent on the ground is a DQ.

I think everyone’s reaction is a massive overreaction to the entirety of the concept of influencer boxing. Was the last misfit objectively awful? Absolutely! But how many different events were absolutely incredible and all the detractors were silent? One bad night doesn’t then speak for the entirety of the sport. We now know guys like Dillon Danis will do nothing to help the concept so maybe vetting actual competitors needs to be top priority
