Nah Surf hooked up with Roc to get some of Roc buzz cause he was on a decline. Got with Roc, Guntitles came about which they had a legendary battle with NWX that got his buzz back up then got locked up came back out starting choking coming with 2 rounds and losing. It wasn’t till 2021-2022 that he started taking it serious.

So the first time he said his “Mid West Losing” a lot of rapper from the mid west were winning all the battles at the time so most people had there winning votes on those “mid west rappers”. Each time he battled one he would bring up the verse again. Most rapper have a few slogans which help hype the crowd up because they feel like they’re participating.. and also know the rapper about to pop off.
29:30 What your missing is that a lot of these videos are over t he span of like 12-14 years and a LOT of eras of battle rap. A lot of battlers who are cool will battle each other because they are huge names and people want to see it but they didn't team up to do 2 on 2 battles until after they battled and realized how good they were battling each other.
New battlerap fans don't mention him at all but prime B-Magic was one of the best rappers of all time, beat Charlie Clips back when he beat damn near everyone, beat Rum Nitty soon before his prime when he beat everyone, had a classic debatable battle with Iron Solomon..and imo had the best flow out of any rappers ever, a compilation would be great, he's the one with the "to keep the beef fresh I keep something aluminum for you(foil)" that you seen in a best bars video.
Suge is also known for tapping his opponents pockets. Surf told him he better not tap his pockets so he did the heart check. T-top mom was on smack and he said he sold it to his mom
