Jodi is a malignant Narcissist. I've always believed the reason she had sex with him before she killed him had more to do with satisfying her own ego more than anything else. She wanted the satisfaction of knowing that she was the last woman Travis ever slept with, she was the one he desired in his final days. She probably still gets some satisfaction from that to this day: Travis will never sleep with any other woman after Jodi.

What’s telling about this comment is that she claimed t/o the entire trial that she went into a ‘fog’ and couldn’t remember anything after the first strike. This demonstrates she lied the entire trial. I’ve no doubt she remembers every moment of that murder and relishes it. It also demonstrates that she did not care at all about his family, even though she repeatedly stated she did. Another lie told over and over again.

There was previous psycho behavior she displayed before Travis. She wanted a boob job and dyed her hair blonde like her ex boyfriends ex wife. She confronted a woman who was seeing an ex boyfriend of hers. She's contacted an ex who had cut ties with her and used the end of the world as an excuse to reach out to him. C'mon now. These were all included in the trial. If it's in evidence it's credible. Travis was going to be the last guy who got away, I sincerely believe she dragged all her rage accumulated after years of bad relationships onto him. People will say she had a good relationship with the guy before Travis well no, he didn't want to get married or have children with her and that's another rejection for Jodi. Travis wasn't perfect, clearly you don't have sex with a person you believe is stalking you. That being said nobody, NOBODY deserves to get murdered because of that. Nobody.

Psychopaths are 'scheduled' if they commit a crime like this one, meaning they are admitted to a psychiatric facility, where they receive hard core drugs, because they are the only treatment that is able to control their severe psychopathic mental health. They are only released if they are deemed not at risk to the community and themselves. Read up on the difference.

13:30 There is no doubt she planned to kill him. I think that slow burning rage was set when they had a huge fight. We don't know what caused it, some think she threatened to expose the sex tape she made, which makes sense because we know the text he sent her was mean, nasty, and hate filled, she did something to cause such anger. She knew at that point there was no chance of them getting back together and saw him walking away getting everything and her left with nothing. The evidence of premeditation was off the charts. We know there was a couple of phone calls between them when she set off for Mesa, she said he was quilting her to visit him, which seems highly unlikely considering the fight. One theory is she had pictures to give to him, which she did have with her and was brought up in the trial, my theory is at one point she stole his journal and I think she apologized and said she was returning it. It had to be something important enough for him to let her go there. Once she got there, she used sex to get him to let her stay, and here are my two reasons for the sex. One, her own ego. She knew she could always get Travis sexually not matter what she did, (and she could.) I bet during their fight he said never again, and she was thinking, wanna bet? She knew she could have sex with him again and she did. Another reason was to show him what he was missing and hoping to change his mind about Cancun, either take her or cancel going with Mimi altogether and take her back, she was in a sense giving him one last chance to change her mind, but to Travis it was just sex, it meant nothing, he wasn't changing any plan and they certainly weren't getting back together, unknowingly he signed his death warrant.

Its easy for him to define what a prosecutor should or should not do, I am sure Martinez also knows everything Mark was saying. Also Mark is criticising and and telling what Martinez should have done years after the trial. Thats easy. He acts and brags and he is probably an average lawyer himself . Martinez's style played a big part in destroying Jodi's defence. He comes here , speaks in a pompous manner, after more than a decade and acts as if he had known everything. So I watched the whole trial, and I absolutely believe it was fully premeditated. And I also want to point out that sometime before she stole her grandparents gun, Travis and her had a conversation on the phone, and he said HORRIBLE things to her. Things that you say to someone you hate. Awful things. (Like how meeting her was the worst thing that had ever happened to him, even worse than the death of a close loved one etc.)
And I believe this was his attempt to get her to stay away. Per his diary entries, he hated that he was so physically weak when it came to her. That all she had to do was show up at his apartment and hed give in and have sex with her. This was a real problem, because it was leading Jodi on and she was obsessed with him. Sure his words said he didn't want to see her anymore, but his actions of giving in to her told her there was a chance.
Anyway I believe the combination of the vile things he said to her (which were totally warranted imo), as well as finding out she WOULDN'T be the one he took on his trip (he asked another Morman girl instead) sent her over the edge. And I agree with Meghan that the sex was a goodbye. Not only for Travis but for herself. Because deep down she still "loved" him, underneath her incredible rage. Btw, another reason this was almost certainly premeditated is that she stopped to fill up her tank of gas, AND filled a jug of gas to bring with her, before she crossed out of her state, so that she wouldn't give away she was in his state by buying gas at a station there. The only chance i see ifw her not murdering him, is that if by some miracle he changed his mind when she showed up and said he DID want to be with her and loved her. That might have saved his life from her murderous plans.

The guy was no choir boy and he was a user. She converted to his religion in the hope that he might look at her as a potential marriage partner and he had to know that. But he continued to use her. Women usually have much more emotion involved in the sexual act than men do and she had very strong feelings for him. He knew that and used her feelings to keep taking what he wanted. When he chose another woman, she was extremely scorned and hurt, but still continued to allow him to use her and do whatever he wanted to her - in a last ditch effort to convince him that she was the perfect woman for him sexually. But when she finally realized that all her efforts were in vain, she lost it and killed him. She may have planned to kill him only if (giving him one more chance)- after the last sexual session, he made it clear that she was only a piece of ass to him. The guy messed around with and hurt the wrong woman, obviously. And obviously, Jodi Arias has mental issues since she chose to do this. It's a cautionary tale.

It’s mere Fatal Attraction I believe Travis’s friends that spent the most time with them together and saw how they interacted. Travis was actually extremely smitten with Jodi at first. He thought he did see a future. He had issues with it because he felt guilty falling for someone who wasn’t a Mormon. The sexual stuff they are both to blame honestly. But Travis made it clear with her his values was to marry a Mormon girl and wait on the intimate stuff. She knew that but chose to keep that stuff up with him. So like most guys he didn’t take her seriously combine that with she was becoming extremely possessive and clingy. A lot of women have possessive or clingy traits. But hers was off the charts insane. Like following him to the bathroom and stuff. Or would text his female friends on his phone to not text him etc. So combine those two things. Those are red flags for anyone. So he did the right thing and called it quits on there relationship. His mistake was continuing to sleep with her afterwards and not getting a restraining order when she was stalking him, breaking into his house, slashing his tires, made threats to his old gf he dated for awhile after her, also stalking that gf. He should have just contacted the authorities and should have taken her threats as more serious. And my opinion that’s what got him killed. He just didn’t realize or understand the danger he was actually in. Which is sad all around

    • @jameseverett9037
      @jameseverett9037 Год назад

@@JEM471025 very good assessment. Travis was way too forgiving long after it became agonizingly apparent that Jodie was born without a conscience, and any capacity for self-reflection. When I'm faced with people like that, I know that no amount of reasoning or confrontation will make a dent in their habit of doing as they please, and I avoid them at all costs.
Travis had not yet begun to evaluate people psychologically, and like so many people on the Right today, believed that such people just need to be more informed or told to stop being that way, and that they are otherwise harmless, unless they've already killed at least 3 small children. Travis' level of cluelessness is somewhat of an epidemic in the modern world, so due to that I'm not too surprised. Docility and letting obvious criminals have their way is "normal" now, as the current justice system, court, and jury so candidly demonstrated as well.

in the mormon religion one of the worst things that can happen to you as a mormon is you DIE IN YOUR SINS. and when I say this, I am referring to MAJOR SINS (adultery, fornication, sexual assualt, murder, etc)? why? because it doesn't give you enough time to repent of your sins. you will die and return to God, he will save you but the rewards you could have received in the afterlife had you not did a unrepentant major sin are no longer available. so if you wanted to KILL SOMEBODY spiritually not just in this life but in many ways in the life to come, you would get them to commit a serious sin and then kill them so they had NO TIME to repent and be made right in the eyes of God. Jodi probably knew this if she studied mormonism and believed travis's soul would rot in hell if she had sex with him and then immediately killed him.

Because she would have been DRENCHED in blood and there’s no way she could get out of the house without leaving blood everywhere. There was no blood evidence outside the bedroom (i.e., the stairs). Also, the car was crystal clean. How/when did she get ready for her date with Ryan? I don’t think the camera was unintentional. Think about it: she took the time to delete all the photos!! (And she was in a fog, right?) She must have believed that would be enough to hide the photos. She didn’t know how memory cards work. Or that they could survive a washing machine. Travis must have told her that his roommates would not be around.

Anyone with half a brain would have taken the camera with them.
I think she was too preoccupied / busy, cleaning up Travis, the bathroom floor, and I just heard that she may have cleaned up the living room too. I don't remember that part from the trial.
One of Travis' roommates said that a vacuum or carpet cleaner was out and apparently out of place.
Where ever she was in the house, she had to clean up after herself because she had to had been covered in blood.
Her own carelessness sealed her fate..
Her palm print on the wall, the camera / pictures, the gas cans, and of course, her lame alibi.
She assumed the camera would get damaged going through the washer cycle with bleach.
I loved when detective Flores nailed her when he told her he knew she was there because had pictures of her from that day to prove it.

Travis Alexander did NOT deserve this violence; however, he participated in his demise by continuing his sexual relationship with Jodi. Although he never considered her as a lifetime partner, his mixed signals by continuing to allow her in his bed gave mixed signals to the borderline personality Jodi.
She knew his friends did not approve of her but Jodi had been successful since their first sexual encounter in keeping him enticed and sexually pleased. She had never had a long term relationship with a man but her needy personality drove her to lust-bomb Travis who was socially opposite but alluring to this unstable woman. Jodi felt that her sexual prowess was her only positive attribute and she did keep Travis reeled in with her sexuality. He would set limits, "break-up" with her but never turned down her sexual advances. By the time of his death Travis was very well aware of her instability but let her in one LAST time.
That fateful day, I believe she went to his house with one last hope of "making" Travis love her. But, she came armed with the firearm should Travis reject her one more time. They had their usual spicy sex but Travis must have said something of extreme finality regarding their relationship, telling her that she was not the type woman he wanted to marry. She snapped. She unleashed all her pent-up rage on Travis for psychologically rejecting her over and over.

To say she did this because she “loved” him is ludicrous. There was nothing loving about her. Travis met the devil in disguise. He had no idea what he was dealing with. Pure evil.

What's crazy is I just rewatched the whole trial and she went through every boyfriends email and followed them but said it was them. Called all of them abusers and cheaters. I believe her initial idea was the release that recorded intimate conversations between them...which is why he called her all those names. And when that threat didnt work, that's when she started planning the murder. She's the epitome of evil.

Anyone who watched the entire trial (what can I say) was so struck by how utterly combative and arrogant Jody was on the stand. She NEVER ANSWERED ANY QUESTION straight. And when I say she never answered a question straight she NEVER answered a question straight _ not even freakin YES OR NO questions. It was so incredibly infuriating to watch 🤬 The prosecutor was pretty exasperated with her.

I honestly think if she had gotten away with this crime, she would have done it again. What tipped me off was her need to take photographs of his body in the process of the murder. As I recall in the police interview when she found out they were able to retrieve the photographs, she asked the police interviewer if she might be able to see them. She wanted to see her trophies one more time, as a trophy killer would. I hope during the trial only the jury were shown the photographs, it must have really bothered her.

I enjoyed watching this show about Jodi Arias. I am one of those who, whenever something new is brought out about this case, am all ears. And even when shows rehash what has been out there, I still watch. What an unbelievably strange and fascinating case. I thought the the first half of Kelly’s show was well done, but that given the almost hour and a quarter length of this episode, could have gone more deeply into Arias’ pre-meditation of her crimes. This would have required some credit to Maricopa County prosecutor, Juan Martinez, and clearly, from what was voiced in the second half of this show, which I found baseless and unbalanced, neither Kelly nor the guest, Mark Eiglarsh, like Mr. Martinez in any way.
This is where I completely disagree with both the host and the guest. Mr. Eiglarsh went on and on about how badly Mr. Martinez completed his cross examination, and then instructed us, the viewers, not to give Martinez any credit for winning the case. Uh, isn’t that the ultimate goal of being a prosecutor? Eiglarsh is trying to critique points on style when we as a whole society needed to get this sociopathic murderer behind bars forever. And I think that’s what Martinez did, if I recall correctly. He continued by saying that it was such as slam dunk that any prosecutor would have won the case. He said that Martinez drew out the trial with his cross examination for days for no purpose, and that every cross examination should be done in a neat little tidy package.
Well, maybe not when you have a pathological manipulator in the courtroom. And Eiglarsh made Monday morning quarterbacking comments about how Martinez’ way of handling the cross examination, with open ended questions, could have risked the jury as siding with the defendant. Eiglarsh clearly underestimates the intelligence of jury members.
I can’t know if either the host or the guest read Juan Martinez’ book, “Conviction,” about the trial, but it was clear that Martinez felt he needed to use these tactics on this master manipulator, the long, open ended questioning, and the at times harsh treatment of her because Arias was very adept at controlling situations and continually attempted to control the courtroom with her slippery behavior and would never really settle on a solid answer unless pressed by Martinez. Martinez, by having open ended questions of the defendant, was able to let the intelligent jury see first how Arias would change her answers like a chameleon directly in front of them.
This show didn’t want to go more into the pre-meditation details (gas cans, rending a car over a hundred miles from her house, Martinez’ uncovering of receipts that showed her attempts to hide a lot of actions, and Martinez’ partnership with Detective Flores) because doing so, in my opinion, would have created a conflict in Kelly’s and Eiglarsh’s piling all over Prosecutor Martinez, both in his professional life and in his personal life.
Martinez was accused of a relationship with a blogger as well as some other allegations and decided not to fight it and was disbarred. With regard to his actions outside of the courtroom, if you are going to trash a person’s whole working career because of his personal indiscretions, then you’ll also have to completely discredit the professional accomplishments of Bill Clinton, Kevin Spacey, Dustin Hoffman, Charlie Rose, and a few thousand others who have allegedly acted disgustingly in their personal lives, but actually did a lot of good in their professional lives.
Yes, I will consider prosecutor Martinez’ "winning" the case as utter proof that he was very good at what he did. And I’d say we should all thank God that it wasn’t any other prosecutor because Martinez was the man who was diligent enough to do the research, uncover additional proof of pre-meditation, and who refused to let the courtroom be controlled by a pathological murderer and manipulator. Martinez definitely did plenty of good. So I’m truly glad that Juan Martinez was the Maricopa County Prosecutor and that Eiglarsh or anyone else wasn't, or Arias might be putting on her makeup for some NBC sit-com she’d be starring in by now.

Jodi shot Travis 1st while she had him pose in squating position. According to autopsy - the bullet , which is a tiny .22 caliber, did NOT penetrate the brain. It would have made his left eye blind and bloody. He then said to her he would kill her, as she said- and got out of shower. You can follow the blood trail to the sink. Jodi ran downstairs to grab a knife and gets back upsatirs. Travis is at the sink with blood coming from head wound. Jodi then stabs him in back and hits a lung. There is blood spray consistent with this. He then turns to run down hallway from her. Now he has already sustained multiple stab wounds to the back. Jodi catches up with him at end of hall. Stabs more, the camera goes off from the struggle capturing the last photo. She then drags him to the shower where now he is defenseless and starting to suffocate on his blood and slits his throat. Why she did it- she went there to try and cinvince him to take her to Cancun. After having sex she asked and he once again said "no." She is now seething in rage and pretends everything is fine. He goes to take a shower and she enacts her plan of killing him if he told her "no". She convinces him to let her take photos so he can see how great his workout bod looks. She has the 22 in her sweatpants. Has him pose a few times before finally shooting him. She thought shooting in head would kill , many people live when shot in head with 22 caliber. Her words in court about how they struggled after he got out of shower were closer to truth- except she was the one doing the killing.
