    Thanks for the video. Just looks like the "C" coefficient should be -1 instead of 1 so that the pressures increase with depth. It looks like your pressure triangles are actually greatest at the top and decrease to zero at the bottom.

      Yes. That was unintentional mistake.

    Hello sir ! Can you show me how to apply load on retaining wall for CSI ETABS ?

    I tried to design a basement wall in etabs. but I think etabs takes all walls as a shear wall and gives me reinforcement for shear force or in-plane force. But basement is designed for out of plane force just like a slab. actually, basement wall is a vertical slab. how can I get reinforcement for out of plane forces and moments in etabs for walls?

    Please do a video on a multistory building. How do we release moment in SAP2000?

    Pressure will decrease bottom to top, not from top to bottom. In this Pressure is decreasing from top to bottom.

    Respected sir please make the video on hydraulic structure like diversion structure, dam etc with different kinds of load in etab or sap. Thank you sir.

    how can i divide plane exactly like you ? can you give me method ? thanks

      easy
      you measure the dimensions and calculate it
      ُْEX: 3*4 area
      if you want your shells to be 0.25 * 0.25
      short direction 3/0.25
      long direction 4/.25
      it means you need 12 shell in the short direction and 16 in the long one (Y)

    why you used 12 in joint pattern, because of height is 12? What is Top and bottom face difference?
    why multiplication factor is 120?

    • @coreygrace334
      @coreygrace334 5 лет назад

      Yes, 12 in joint pattern results in nice square shell elements for his example and makes easy to set his D value. Top and bottom face (and the other numbers) are relative to the local axis orientation of the shell elements you draw. You can display the shell element local axes to see which way they are oriented. Depending on how you draw the model, the top or bottom face might be on the inside or outside of your model, so you just want to check that the loads are applied to the face you expect. Multiplication factor is 120 because his unit soil weight is 120 lbs per cubic foot (pcf).
