Ten years after the events of Toy Story 4, the world of toys has changed drastically. Children now favour digital play over traditional toys. Bonnie has grown up, and the cherished toys have largely dispersed. Yearning for the past, Buzz Lightyear has made annual trips to the carnival in hopes of reuniting with his old friends, especially his best friend Woody, but to no avail. This year, unable to quell his longing, Buzz, accompanied by Jessie, decides it's time to embark on an adventure to find Woody and the rest of the gang. Together, they navigate a world vastly different from the one they once knew, determined to round up' their friends and reclaim their place in the hearts of children.
