Well Done, Mary Healy. I've been to Healy's for a Pint many years ago. Ballycastle is a quiet place well off the beaten track. My mother was born just outside Ballycastle, in the townland of Killeen, in 1903.

On March 11th 2020 we were snug in the window seats where the music usually happens. I was playing fiddle and we realised we were going to be the last customers before the Covid lock-down. Within twenty four hours we were on a plane back to Montreal to begin what has now turned into over a year of quasi house arrest. We hope to be back in B.C. as soon as possible if only to finish that aborted session! Healy's is a nice cozy pub in a fabulously creative and stimulating little north Mayo town. As all in Ballycastle have known for some time, dear Brian Polke died in May 2021. R.I.P a Bhrían.
honestly, I would have shown some sessions.... I live in Borneo, Malaysia and would have loved to have sent some people looking for your Pub.. but I don't think this video would attract them... if you make some vids of the craic and ceol please let me know

I stayed in this pub in the 70's. I came to see relatives with my Grandparents every summer. Very fond memories.
