For the $$$ in treated lumber, a skidsteer could've cut the bank & leveled a pad to where the garage door could be accessed & the mandoor wouldn't need a spiral staircase😅😅
Thanks for the video, entertaining as always. i’m not there and i’m sure there’s a reason, BUT…lol there’s always a but when a keyboard engineer gets involved. I’ve done a similar project and we cut away the bank to get a level surface for the building, then built a retaining wall in high side. It always ends up being higher than it should be but with the price of lumber these days it was still more cost and labour effective. I’ll get off my soap box now, because as i said i’m not there and i’m sure there’s a reason.
If u want me to speak in engineer, wait until no vegetation grows under it from lack of moisture & sunlight & then soil erosion begins when rains washout...LOL@@MegaTapdog
Yeah too many ideas from people will make the person that knows what to do question himself and be confused as well the whole damn time trying to be polite don't you think that they realized that you do this probably multiple times a day everyday for years LOL
You certainly have the exact temperament it takes to rise to a challenge like that nightmare. If I was the buildings seller, and saw that his video, I’d put at least a C-note tip in your shirt pocket for that one just to keep you around.
Hell of a job, took some time but you got her on there pretty damn straight. Nice work. I came to your channel on Josh's recommendation and it looks like I will be watching many more.
When I saw the platform I thought ...HOW. But you did it, I hope his check clears that he was writting and that you got a big cash tip. Some people have some weird ideas and places for a shed.
If there were ever a time where I refused to set a building somewhere, this would be it, good thing it was not a rent, repo would be worst......great job....
I worked for a mobile home company and some of the places we put them OMG. U know ur job rots ur laying in water and trying to build a crib to get 1. On a slab. NOT FUN AT ALL. !!

Great job! That trailer and the mule are amazing pieces of equipment. I had a shed delivered a few years ago and I don't know what kind of rig the man had, but while was at my doctors appointment at the VA hospital they put mine in exactly where I needed it and no damage of any kind. My biggest worry was tree limbs in the way, but they missed them all. Mine went flat on the ground and I jacked it up and set concrete blocks under it later. Access to that one is going to be pretty tough.
Man, I resonate with your closing statement all too well. I deliver containers to people's property and as often as I say I can't do that due to risk of damaging equipment/property, there's been times where I do a favor in that the risk wasn't greater than the reward.
Very impressive with skill & knowledge of placement of the shed.....I would never had the confidence to attempt that job !!! Owner will regret not digging out embankment, putting in a solid retaining wall with a solid 6" concrete pad ! Over the years that building's weight will effect the structure thus causing problems shutting garage & side entrance door. Wasn't a wise decision how to set up shed !!
Mad respect for your skill and patience. That has to be THE most Ky fried cluster F I have ever seen. Having all that 'extra help' watching and making suggestions must have been a blast. Hope they paid cash, otherwise a repo on that is gonna be even more fun. Bad enough the long drive, then to arrive at that and seen what a mess of a job! WOW! My hope for you is that you never have a job this challenging ever again. Glad you have pro equipment to do the job.
Should've poured a slab of cement! It's going to sink and buckle! Always about foundation by weight! The shed is heavier than the stand. And cement is supposed to settle before you put weight on it! & the lumber looks untreated
I sincerely hope that home owner gave this driver a huge tip. If I were the driver I would have left it on the ground in front of his perch or brought it back with me. Great job and some awesome skills. 🤗
Dude! That was wild. Only way I would of put a building up in the air like that is on a concrete foundation. That building has to weigh a bunch empty. Wouldn't surprise me if he wakes up some night to a loud crashing noise after he gets it full of whatever. WOW! Good job Dustin.
Some backhoe work, cement and landscape blocks and they would have something at ground level. They have as much money in the wood it just doesn’t make sense.
Wow, how many things wrong here. The support posts weren't notched, no concrete piers, how the hell do you get anything in that thing up in the air like that, wow...smh
YESSSSSSSS, I was looking for someone else to say this before i chimed in. As a licensed in 3 states contractor i couldn't believe the way the platform was constructed. Those headers and structural supports aren't really doing squat, the structural 2x12's are only being supported by screws, they look to be GRK ledger locks but they're worthless with that kind of weight without being notched into the posts.
Call Pepe's towing...Bring Hulk and Big Flipper!!!! Can't outguess the home owner but grading a flat spot with a concrete entrance might have been cheaper and handier to enter & exit the roll up door.
I was so glad to hear that it was a cash sale, and not a rent to own. All the way through the video I kept thinking, man I hope you don't have to go back there and repo that thing
I hope that platform was engineered for the weight of that shed and inspected by the local jurisdiction. That platform looked a little sketchy for that big shed. I wonder how they plan on getting to the roll up door. Great job and patience setting that shed.
the one thing I would have done was deck that foundation with some plywood instead of 2x4s and put the wheels on it to roll it across.. a high lift jack on the end would have given you the needed height to get them on over the foundation..
The only place that I saw 2x4's were on the bottom of the shed. But there are also 4x6 runners, 4 of them the length of the shed. That platform was made from 2x6 joists, 4x4 posts.
Good job. As a retired structural engineer, the framer nailed the double beams to the side of the posts, which is not nearly as strong as directly bearing on the posts. Direct bearing is always better than nails in shear. Also the bracing is nailed with 3 nails or so, I would have used bolts. The bracing was weak as evident by the bowing of the diaphragm floor. If I would have been the owner, I would have excavated to grade, built a retaining wall for the bank, and had ground access to the shop building. As it is, main access is in the air right now, kinda weird, as it limits the access to the building.
What a nice area of the country ,every thing is so green I live in Rio Rancho NM at 5,000 feet and we are only green for about 8 months out of the year.
New subscriber here. From Central Arkansas USA. I have watched a few videos. It's real decent work. Hard work. You don't just do one thing. This building really shows the size on the trailer. It's oversized. Is it overweight? I love your very comfortable command center. Very nice trailer. Very nice mule. That is very good business. Are you solo or have a helper?
Could have put some lengths of well pipe underneath and rolled into place. Then lift up and remove pipes. Maybe some cribbing and a couple of hydraulic jacks if needed. Thanks for the video.
You will have a second job at this site come spring, or the first significant rainstorm picking the shed up from the bottom of the hill two streets over! Putting all that weight (shed + intended contents) on a half dozen 4X 6's is just suisidal. Definitely followed code, and engineering blueprints (not). Maybe it's the video, but seems to lean to the roadside too!
I was fascinated while watching my shed get delivered. I got to see the mule in action. BTW, mine is fully paid for, just to let naysayers know. I saved up for months to get it. 10 x 16 feet.
As soon as I saw that site, I thought that there should have been something on the drivers side of the ground to run those back wheels up on, to make it higher on that side. Wouldn't that have helped? Great video though. Thanks for sharing.
Had 2 - 16x32 buildings delivered hardest part for my delivery guy was he had to use mule to move them 1/4 mile down the road because no room to turn around. I warned the driver ahead of time so he parked were i suggested and he walked it first. He said no problem just slow because the mule only goes about 2 mph max.
It's incredibly gratifying to watch experts work the problem to completion.
A Truly amazing feat of patience and experience on getting that Shed onto it's Platform!

Right up there with RUclips commenters that can't even afford the service, much less the structure, nor the property.

That took some mad skills and patience , great job , loved this video , keeping the good work, thank you for sharing this video

Should've poured a slab of cement! It's going to sink and buckle! Always about foundation by weight! The shed is heavier than the stand. And cement is supposed to settle before you put weight on it! & the lumber looks untreated
They also have stumps under the foundation which will rot eventually and cause weak spots. Very poor engineering.
Plus all the stuff they are going to put inside of it.
They brought a gun to a knife 🔪 fight looks rickety.
