You’re playing is so powerful and effortless at the same time. I love these raw videos that allow us to hear all the dynamics and force you put into every note
Love these videos!! Your style is awesome, so many insane runs sprinkled in that rendition of Surfing. I also grew up with satriani and heard him before Van Halen! Really related to this, thanks for sharing

As someone who had such a similar experiences listening to Satriani in my early days & was influenced by him a lot, it was such a pleasure listening to this. Also love the casual nature of this video axe-brother! :)
Love this mate. I first heard Joe Satriani after watching the guitar expo 92 in Spain hosted by Brian May. I watched Satriani play surfing with the alien and was blown away. I picked up an Ibanez JS100 Joe Satriani signature model for my 18th birthday back in 1998. Fast forward to 2024 and I still have this guitar and play this today.
Really enjoying the sound, way too many tubers go OTT on the post production. Maybe you do too, but it sounds like you're sat in the same room, jacked into my uncle's old tube amp. Love the way you hit those strings like they owe you money :)
I imagine that guitar has to have half an hour in a dark room when you've finished with it. I have to do the same after watching your videos....the speed, the execution, the flames coming off the fretboard....❤🔥🤯
Your channel is awesome. New sub from me. I thought I was doing alright until I saw this 😂 wise words about trying to learn a song 10% faster so you have some in reserve! I thought the sweet child o mine solo was easy until my drummer gets excited and plays it at 3x the speed 😂
Ok..man..Joe may have melted your face! But you just blew my face off! Ahahaha..you’re a f*** machine man!!! Keep this up cause it’s super cool! So glad you got back into guitar!
There are about 10-15 outstanding guitarists who blow your mind but the difference with Joe satriani his music is always happy, he's playing a thousand notes or maybe 3 notes and a bend and pull off but it's happy it's joyful, thank the gods for his fingers and heart ❤️
No distant cousin of Pat Travers eh? Srry if you been asked this before. I just subbed from Rick G’s channel. Glad you are back. Im sending all my bros to your channel.
Same era with cassete and VHS, no You Tube, learning from hearing and guessing what/how Joe plays. And most important thing : Joe give us big influence and love for guitar instrumental album
Surfin with the alien' album as well as 'pornograffitti' by Extreme totally inspired me to start learning guitar when I was 13. Always remember first time I heard these albums and the guitar work blew me away. P.s love your style of playing. Very kick ass
Fantastic playing I just called into my mates guitar workshop Agrajag guitars and James said that you had just collected a couple of guitars he’s done work on for you
You are an AWESOME guitarist! It would be great if, on your videos, you could only hear the the amp and not the acoustic noise coming from the guitar when you are executing those blistering lick. You rule! Rock on!
Wicked video dude! I've been told that I pick quite aggressively, and I can see that you do too! I don't pick quite as hard as you, my light strings wouldn't stand a chance the poor sods, but I just wanted to ask, do you think your playing lacks dynamics because you pick you quite hard? I'm worried that what I've been told is true, and that if I don't learn to pick softly my music will suffer... Many thanks!
I'm going to bet your hormonal profile has changed, and hence your reignited interest in guitar. I'll second that your hormones can determine your interest to want to jam more, jam less, or not at all.
Now that's we need. No over production. Just raw punches in the flanks with Your playing.
I appreciate the playing with absolute certainty. Also like hearing the pick hitting the strings!
Love this kind of raw videos, like it should be done. Old school

Brother, I remember you around 15 years ago destroying some petrucci riffs and solos here in yt. Where have you been? Welcome back! Fantastic play.

Satch taught me so much about phrasing. He's got a beautiful sense of melody
I love the right hand closeups
Fantastique !!!! 😮
Joe Satriani is definitely Numero Uno for me. I still listen to the Not of This Earth album regularly.

Wow ❤❤❤
Youre one talented hombre. Amazing sense of rhythm with your great technique. You’re a natural mate
Awesome man as always 🎸👍
Holy Monkeys that's good. Also love Summer Song so much. Satch's sense of groove is super tasty.
And of course don’t forget Crushing Day..

God your way of talking and rambling just makes you want to pick up the guitar and play! thanks mate you're a beast!!!
Wow you really are the ultimate shredder !

The way you use bends to emulate some of the the whammy bar stuff is intense!
Please cover some Shawn lane! 🥹
Pause at 1.10 for the best guitar face ever. This video melted my face bro.
I think you hit the strings harder than SRV and i never thought I'd ever say that to anyone in my lifetime!
Fantastic playing I just called into my mates guitar workshop Agrajag guitars and James said that you had just collected a couple of guitars he’s done work on for you
Yes James is amazing!
I can hardly wait till he gets to Jason Becker Perpetual Burn stuff. Lets see you speed those songs up.
Music is expression, not competition.
@@azharkhan8796 your on the wrong channel. Take your dumb comment elsewhere
What picks are you using?
He uses Dunlop Jazz III XL Black Stiffo's.
holy holy shit man)! awesome

You should show Joe how to play his own song 😂❤
Do you plan to get a multiscale guitar with a floyd rose?

You just got a subscriber
By any chance, is there a George Lynch song that you would love enough to make you own version?
I always loved the solo in Circles, one of my best favourites of all time. The whole song is just an excuse to play that solo 😂
Animal!
🤯🤯🤯
Bells of Lal Pt 2 please
😳......................................😎🤘🤘👏👏
I checked twice if my video speed wasn't set on ×2 😅
…on a tele! 😳
Surely you must have locking tuners on that thing.
The alien got caught and butchered into steaks
Jesus, you play it like 2x faster! :D
Dude...
are you kidding me lol

Wyoa?
I mean you're hitting all the right notes but you are completely out of time.
Sorry but i felt no emotion in the playing.... no dynamics.. to much aggression..
