Yooooo my OCD expected the video to be order from 2006 to 2023.......Now I am going to be skipping through the video for each year to watch it in order now! Why am I like this?
I saw another video where their choreographer said that they were inspired by Nightbird to audition for AGT and the dance they performed was in her honor.
when simon told the mayyas "it is arguably the best dance group we have ever had on this show" did you notice he has yet to tell another dance group that? it takes A LOT to move simon cowell. say what you want about him, but he has yet to tell another dance group that they were the best he has ever seen. and then for him to say "we are honored to have you here" made my body get chills. i loved the mayyas. their entire show gave me chills. it was amazing. them honoring nightbirde after she passed was also beautiful. she moved a lot of people when she passed, even more when she was alive and sang her beautiful song.
Brandon Leake's poem about his sister brought me to tears. I know the exact pain he feels having lost my mother to cancer. "sometimes I design these alternate realities where she is still here, still alive, all the things I wish we could have done...and I'm tired of playing God because I have to come to terms that [she's] never coming back. And that's the cost of love" this line shook me to my core, and I had to pause and have a long cry, because even 2 years after her departure, I think these things on a daily basis and I try to run from them every day. We were poor, she was single, and didn't graduate high school, but she managed to raise me, provide for us both, fight for us both, and eventually she worked her way up to a position where she could afford to buy us a house. She was my best friend, my inspiration, and I miss her. So much. I feel like a part of me also died on 7/3/2022. Cherish your loved ones, and make as many memories as you can with them because one day that may be all you have left of them. I love you mom.
Reading your comment brought me to tears. I also lost my mother and a peice of myself in 2022. Im truly sorry for your loss and I can only hope that your healing becomes easier with time. Although I'm finding it difficult myself. Your mother was an amazing woman obviously due to how highly you speak of her memory. I came to the comments to find if anyone else was impacted by Brandon's words for his sister. And if anyone else had thought he was robbed of not having an audience to share his golden buzzer with. It was so silent and seemed grim ,though it was a happy moment for him. Anyways, I found your words, and I feel less alone. So i had to say thank you for sharing. You touched my heart also. ❤ Sorry for the long-windedness. Bless

No but how tf did you cry over an audition? Yeah the guy is autistic and blind but he’s just doing something he likes, he’s probably just mimicking the voice of the original singer and not putting any emotion to it (he obviously enjoys it because it’s something that brings him joy). If a person that wasn’t autistic + blind did that they wouldn’t say the intensity and emotion he put in his voice was amazing and “INSPIRATIONAL”, they would’ve gave him 4 yes.

Kodi Lee. I would say that what his disability took away allowed his amazing talent to grow 10 fold. Not only that , but you could say he has a gift, or you could say he is a gift. Gods gift for the world to enjoy.
What I love about this show its about the talent not what race, disability, gender or color you are you have a very fair chance of winning. Not like The Voice where no matter how good the singer only one type of singer wins 98% of the time.
Ngl unpopular opinion I think getting backstories on talent shows shouldn’t be a thing 🤷🏽♂️ it’s kinda hard to say blind person throwing knives accurately is not more impressive then a person who isn’t blind doing it
For some people, the disability makes the talent that otherwise wouldn't be as impressive more so, as the person with the talent has had to overcome a lot of additional obstacles to be as extraordinary. It shows the talent someone can possess with a serious hindrance, such as being blind yet having the accuracy to hit knifes in the precise location in an unfamiliar environment. The impression left from those performances hit differently since it is already an amazing thing to witness, then even more impactful when you imagine how these performances are from the perspective of those on the stage. Some of those performances are not as impacted by their disabilities or background, and I agree that not all backstories are necessary or should be included. For people who are blind, autistic, deaf, or similar issues, it makes sense for it to be explained, as it affects the person in all aspects of life and impacts their performance or their ability to present themselves on the stage. For instance, the first performance in this video was given by someone autistic and blind, so he had to be escorted and aided by his mother through the performance. His inability to properly communicate in the traditional way people are accustomed to speaking or understand social cues does limit his ability to showcase himself outside of just when he is playing the piano and singing. In those instances, the backstory becomes necessary, otherwise he wouldn't have had the same reception by the judges as they wouldn't have understood his story and reason for his behavior without making assumptions that could be incorrect and hurt his image. I do agree with the backstories that include the trials and problems faced by several people in the world or don't have any impact on the performance. For instance, the people with backstories, such as having survived breast cancer or having come onto the show after a family member passed away and came on the show in that person's memory. Those instances are a lot more grabby for sympathy points with the judges and make me feel the same as you. Those stories are not important to the audition or their ability to perform or present on the stage and should not be a thing included in any talent show introductions. In later episodes, only the backstories of the people that made it past the audition and later elimimation stages should be shared.mar. Had to edit to fix some grammar flubs.
@@tcpeterson6832 I can’t overcome my disability to do regular everyday tasks. The fact that these contestants with disabilities can achieve these extraordinary things doesn’t make them special; it makes them superhuman. That must be a part of the backstory and deserves to be told, just like we should know if a contestant went through something like a difficult life or event on their way to success like with Nightbirde. It does indeed make a difference.
Kodi Reminded me of a primary school classmate He used to stutter while speaking but when it came to singing, he was an Absolute Master!! He had teachers skeptical about his stuttering lol
I remember watching Mr. Kenichi his first time out and what they showed here. Him getting back up off of his back and looking the same way it did when he went backwards...... Yep, that sold me right then. Then the very next time he came on, he fought a freaking digital T-Rex. That guy was amazing and showed I wouldn't want to fight him. Lol. Now to the total show STOPPER. Mr. Kodi There is a very and I mean very soft spot in my heart for him. I have 3 children and all 3 have autism. Each of my children excel in something different. 1 is mathematics and played in band all the way from elementary school throughout college. He is tone deaf and yet he did this. Our 2nd child. This kid is like no other. He was scared of a snake that was in the yard. It was a 4 to 5 foot long Speckled King Snake and I picked it up to show him there wasn't anything to be scared of. To be truthful, this is NOT the snake to do this with, but it was the only one I could grab right then. Snakes have a couple defenses they use before they will bite you. 1, they try to get away. ( well I had it in my hands, so that was out.) . 2, they will pooh on you and this is called Musking, this snake has rather nasty pooh. 3, they will bite and he did. Lol The reason I told you this. I have taught him all I know and loves animals so much. He is going to take after his dad. Last is my 7 year old. She is following in older brothers footsteps. I couldn't be happier for them. Autism isn't a hold back, but for Kodi, this man is blind on top. His love for music is awesome and I'm so happy for him.
Everytime I hear the song “it’s okay” I get so sad. For those that don’t know that song, Nightbirde (a contestant from AGT) wrote and performed that song on the AGT stage and passed away from cancer in 2022:( RIP nightbirde🫶
Kodi Lee will forever be the Best AGT winner.A great inspiration for all people with disabilities or not…… nothing can stop you from chasing your dreams

Kodi is the definition of purity. He sing with out thoughts, he is all heart.
I love every single talent on the show ❤❤
Kodi Reminded me of a primary school classmate
He used to stutter while speaking but when it came to singing, he was an Absolute Master!!
He had teachers skeptical about his stuttering lol
I have several speech disorders, but they almost all go away when I sing. It helps me feel free. :D
@@seagullokapi Love to hear that ;)) sing more and feel liberated
Absolutely loved Hurricane, he was just so awesome.
Mr. Kodi
There is a very and I mean very soft spot in my heart for him.
Lol
The reason I told you this.
Amazing! Thank you.
Coldy Lee you are a great Congratulations
you can see the shift from caring about actual talent to only caring about people who have some sort of inspirational backstory
I was so moved with Kodi’s Golden Buzzer!
Girls from Lebanon😍😍😍😍
The Mayyas....wow...what a performance!❤❤❤
That boy Skinner! Wow! Wonderful slap in the face to the judges!
Bruh this thumbnail is just about the funniest thumb nail on you tube.
It’s Kodi…. Kodi LEEEEEE!!!!! 😂
Codi's performance actually left me in tears- i know how hard it is to live with autism as i, my brother and my mum have it. Such an inspiration!
Simon was the only person who didn't clap before Kodi sang. Simon was the first person to stand up and clap after Kodi sang.
from studio audiences this show has evolved so much.
Landau man, such a genuine soul. Loved that dude
Cody Lee is such an inspiration!
One of the best I have ever seen do it❤❤❤
Everytime I hear the song “it’s okay” I get so sad. For those that don’t know that song, Nightbirde (a contestant from AGT) wrote and performed that song on the AGT stage and passed away from cancer in 2022:( RIP nightbirde🫶
With Kodi, it's another amazing example of how music transends bounds of humans. Music works in a way in our brains like nothing else.
Kodi Lee will forever be the Best AGT winner.A great inspiration for all people with disabilities or not…… nothing can stop you from chasing your dreams
gabbi shouting heck ya is the support i need
I remember seeing kodi lee’s audition on tv and thinking “wow this is amazing”
