@shapro88 I saw that it said Dave Hope was gonna make an appearance.. but the band on stage there is not Kansas .. what does it mean that two others were just a phone call away. Lol. Are they on call ?? Or on standby?? Besides, the violinist wasn't even playing the right notes on the first of the song..
@@randytrader3026 Randy, That is my mistake. I copied the description from the full show that is now uploaded, where Dave Hope does play on "Hold On". He also plays the encore, "Carry on Wayward Son" that is in a separate video. I was half joking about the phone call. Richard Williams would have been there, but he didn't make it because of the Hurricane where he lives. Also, Phil Ehart, would be the drummer, but he is continuing to recover from a heart attack, which has kept him out of action. However, he is still managing the band, hence the two members "just phone call away."
@shapro88 I'm sure it's business decision to let someone use the name.. but as I musician and a life long fan of Kansas, I can't get pass it.. Rich W., Steve Walsh and Robby Steinhardt came in a club I was playing in Atlanta back in the 80s. they listened for a good while and later got to meet em, and getting a compliment from these guys was the high light of my career.. I didn't mean to come off as an assh_le, it's good to hear they're still involved
@@shapro88 ROFL! These people are NOT Kansas I can play this song on guitar. It does not make me Kerry Livgren. I can sing the lyrics. It does not make me Steve Walsh!
Nothing more than a tribute band now.
The best one around. They are really good. Go see them sometime.
No original members, so how can you call your band Kansas..
One original member was there. And two were just a phone call away.

Kerry played the night before, in Topeka, Kansas.
