I really appreciate how she is so good at being what seems like herself but at the same time can play a character with a cha that makes us feel like she is someone you know. That's am extremely difficult skill and I applaud AK for it.
You can see from his side eye look that he felt how sad she was about her ex, to the point of not being capable of removing the trash. He cleaned her car to give her a fresh start❤️❤️
Yeah, I really didn't like her in earlier stuff, this was first movie that made me pay attention and I actually ended up wishing she had more scenes in The Accountant.
It's interesting how he doesn't have a driver's license because it's incredibly dangerous yet he's perfectly fine with bumming rides off of people. Just like Sheldon in the big bang theory and Zack in Bones. I love this fucking movie
I’m scared of driving, it’s not being the car what scares me, it’s being the responsibility if we live or not what terrifies me, I’m so scared of being cause of my own or others death, if I don’t drive that problem is not in my hands.
Honestly I don't have a driver's license too I don't drive Because I speed n worried about gas plus idk how anything about driving only on dirt roads. But I'll pay for gas n snacks I can't drive. I don't drink anymore. But I take rides with my dad n brother than when I'm in school. No body show up when no class so, I ask someone to drive me home I'm 21 I don't know how to drive
You can see both their guards coming down throughout this scene. Obviously they start off with conversational and open topics then slowly go to the deeper and personal topics, but in between that they merely retract what they say in terms of their relationships being terrible. This scene itself made me genuinely cry because of both being vulnerable with each other and accepting their flaws even if she is his therapist
Eh fair point but from the people I spoke to they say its difficult to drive and often worry about crashing so I see why he could have needed someone to take him everywhere
Driving anxiety. Sufferers tend to give logical reasons as to why they don’t drive, though often with gaps and contradictions. It’s not an easy thing to admit, and being the passenger is no problem, the burden isn’t on them.
It’s to show how ridiculous that’s mind set is because in the end u really never know what’s going to kill you so being afraid of stuff like that is irrational. Hence him following it up with “followed only after cancer” lol
Well, Hugh Grant cheated on Elizabeth Hurley when she was in her prime. Like who would do something like that right? You see, when you're an Apex Alpha with all the choices available to you. You may not wanna eat filet mignon everyday, you might crave for cheeseburgers once in a while you know?
Let’s not talk about it, Turn on the radio. Come on dudes, being emotionally blocked is not healthy. One gets sick & it comes up on your appearance later on
@Billie Jean A lot is wrong with that. It doesn’t matter who she’s helping. Any basic psychology class will teach you that this is completely inappropriate. She’s already crossed the client-patient boundary.
@Billie Jean If it’s not evident to you, that’s pretty alarming. I shouldn’t have to say why a therapist meeting with there patient outside of their office (for whatever reason) is inappropriate. It’s too personal, sorry that’s too complex for you to understand.
@Billie Jean Lmao are you serious? Quite the gem, aren’t you? Any psychology professor will tell you this is inappropriate-I even gave you a reason why. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t change the fact that this is wrong. Thankfully, you’re not a professor, teacher, or psychologist.
@Billie Jean Ah really, where do you teach? That way I can contact the university and ask them and tell them about how you’re trying to claim something is false when you aren’t a professional in the field😂
This doesn't work out in the real world. Two broken people meeting over a tragic circumstances. It doesn't last. Stop letting movies fill your head with this goofy nonsense.
The studio execs wanted a scene at the end where they do but Levitt, Kendrick and the entire crew were like "No, it's a story about going through cancer, not finding love."

This whole scene lost me when she said she’s his therapist. I’ve never had any therapy and I’m not sure what my requirements would be for my therapist but if I walk in and they look like they’re still in their twenties, I’m out. I don’t have a great opinion about therapy in general but I have little faith anyone as young as her character seems here is going to give me any worthwhile life lessons.
I get that, but the role of a therapist isn't to give you "worthwhile life lessons", but to get you to examine and explore patterns in your life and untangle them if they're not helpful. It sounds as if you're referring to a life coach.
@@toomuchinformation If you think someone in their twenties is qualified to advise you on life in any capacity then we just have very different life views. For me they would need both professional experience and life experience and at that age I don't think she'd have enough of either.
