The game will never be fixed and there will always be people that love and hate certain metas but I think that a slightly stronger deck isn't necessarily bad. Now, if girsu get imperm/veiler, you can go into her, set a spell or trap, and still have a column for purple (worst case/going 1st). Plus, the new orcust mekk-knight link can be used for key, whispers, and secrets along with crescendo. Plus if babel is on the field while you have girsu in grave, you can special him from the grave or banished in a column a monster/spell/trap is in as a quick effect on opp turn.
      So you can have girsu negate a card, banish him with purple, get a search, then banished an orcust to ss the banished girsu to negate in a different column, or reborn on from grave. Before there was no way to ss girsu for negates with secrets unless you had the quick play..now you can just loop girsu for negates

  • @tylerfrost4110
    @tylerfrost4110 13 дней назад

    Link 1s are a cancer to the game. So many examples to back this up. Appolousa also a ridiculous card that should be banned. Not sure why the core game designers of this game think that giving new engines ultra consistency to then be backed up with hand traps is healthy or fun. There is absolutely a path towards healthier game states and not over tuned turn 1s. The extra deck with the introduction of links, specifically link 1s have allowed otherwise bottlenecked moments to be able to be pushed past and it's just lame as hell. Yes, I can be the one that is turn player that plays through multiple interruptions, but how does anyone feel accomplished when all you're doing is playing your cards straightforward, get interrupted, and then just pick up your extra deck to then have a whole other batch of plays? It's free resource (again, mostly links). Synchro, Xyz, and Fusion have always had a natural resource cost that is on the more fair side, especially before cards were introduced allowing you to use resources from your deck. I'm just not sure why the emphasis is being pushed so hard to allow 1st turn player to have so much gas to create such difficult/near impossible boards/setup to break. Master Rule 4 shows that they are aware of implicit issues with the game, but clearly that was not enjoyed by most of the player base, and caused it's own issues, and thus removed. Is there a forum where people discuss things like new Master Rules or new card design that tries to tackle the fundamental issues Yugioh has? Long rant, I know, but I think most of the player base knows that the game's design is fundamentally broken with turn 1.

No, fire king snake eyes wasnt easy to pilot either so wasnt infernoble or madanium. Are those decks fair ? No they make insane boards. And maliss end boards is a really sticky mess of some of the best interruptions in the game. With a insane grind game. @@zekiel2533 Maliss already does that without ALIN support. Like having traps as part of your combo is kind of new, but in the end the deck's build-a-board strategy is extremely similar to how SE plays. Yes, the boards are weaker, but 1 Rabbit gets you to a LOT of stuff that are also layered. If you hand trap them, and they have a way to extend, they'll end on the same board with you hand-looping yourself once. Maliss is just another deck that lacks a true choke point like Duodrive or Branded Fusion.

      That's just one combo shown with 1 card. In yugioh you start with 5 so any other extenders or non engine boosts that board considerably. Yugioh is in a state now where decks play a lot lower to the ground and aren't trying to make unbreakable boards with a million negates. So a low to the floor combo deck that can play a ton if non engine and is incredibly resilient in a grind game is perfect for a meta like this. No one's claiming it's broken or even the best deck but it's not nearly as bad as you're making it seem

    I get that the links are sorted by event rather than deck, and usually one link contains multiple lists that topped said event, but I feel like most viewers of the site are more interested in seeing a decklist than they are the specific placements, or at least prioritize it. I know people roll their eyes at DM support but honestly, a DM or GX deck should probably always have it's place in the meta for the health of the game. This is just how every card game works. Magic has Red Deck wins in like every format cuz like there are just players who want that. Popular characters are always getting new versions cuz people want to play them. Same with digimon, pokemon, vanguard, everything. You want these decks people just like to be playable, you want a bit of nostaliga to be there for you. So I'm very happy to see Blue Eyes in the top cuts.

      If their gonna give DM support, at least give other decks some good support. Literally, it's kaiba and yugi/yami decks getting support. There's other ppl from DM that could use a boost

      @vampireguy92 They want to replicate DM with Yugi and Kaiba on top while everyone else is irrelevant. I on the other hand miss Dino Rabbit vs. Inzektor basically being a Rex and Weevil format (Dino Rabbit uses Dinos to summon Dragons like Rex, and Inzektors equip Insects to other Insects to make bigger Insects like Weevil).

      @autobotstarscream765 it sounds dumb to keep trying to boost kaiba and yugi... they keep doing it over and over, and it's just redundant. I would be happy if they made Rex and Weevil decks super good enough to be close to the top. Mai and Mako and Joey and Pegasus, hell even make bakura a good deck to stand up to the meta. It's not hard, and there is no shortage of DM characters and decks.
