Brentford aren’t changing it to make it so people don’t feel the need to buy a new kit every season and their aim is to help them out in that respect to the current rising living prices. You may not like it, but it is intended so the fans don’t have to buy a new home kit every season. It was also put in to help sustainability and not require more shirts to be made
I respect Brentford for doing this, it's amazing what they're doing for the environment and plus unlike other clubs they're not ripping off they're fans (as a City fan)
Lazy from Umbro? Brentford made the choice themselves to help spare the cost for fans without the need to buy 2 kits for 2 seasons. Its a brilliant initiative in my opinion.
2 year kits are good imo. There’s a cost of living crisis and a lot of people find it difficult to buy an expensive new kit every year for their kids or themselves
both of you completely missed the point of why brentford didn’t release a kit. if anyone is unaware it’s because brentford didn’t want to force their fans to fork out more money for a new shirt every season. i think measures like this should become more of the norm. supporting your team (whether this be through kit sales, season tickets, etc.) should not cost as much as it does for fans, especially considering that the profitisation of modern football is very much alienating some (especially working class) fans. idk, personally i appreciate that brentford are doing at least something, but measures like this should be more common and widespread.
Personally I think Brentford should get spot 1 for doing the 2 year kit. The fact teams change their kit every year is a total money grab, especially when kits are getting more expensive every year. Football is suppose to be the working class' game, and yet fans are expected to buy a new kit every year for £60+. Disgraceful. Look at the NFL. They keep the same kits for years. The cardinals haven't changed their uniform since they were founded in the 90s.
Both of them contradicted themselves with the Liverpool and forest kits. Both kits are red with their won details to make it stand out as their cities. But thogden said that the forest one did do that and then completely discredited the Liverpool one. Also if thogdad likes the Liverpool kit how does he not like the forest kit. They are so similar and have similar meanings unique to the club
Lots of the “plain” kits have been purposefully made plain by the big brands with intricate detailing only included in the player spec £100+ versions. This is a dangerous trend I think because it’s making the cheaper kits more obsolete and encouraging the purchase of the crazy expensive ones.
Thogdad: "what does blue have to do with Newcastle?" Our mascot is literally a magpie which is black, white and a blue stripe. Blue belongs in Newcastle. But Funn88 does not!
As a Leicester fan, I agree with Theo. Compared to previous shirts like 2019/20 and last season, it's just not interesting. However, it is better than Liverpool's.
As a chelsea fan I didn’t like our kit at all but seeing it in preseason it’s actually pretty nice, also I really like Newcastle’s kit including the blue and sponsor
People forgetting Theo doesn’t care about a cost of living crisis coz he’s from a very privileged background and doesn’t understand what it’s like to struggle for money.

hot headed call on Umbro and Brentford, clubs don’t need a new kit every year and fans shouldn’t be charge £60+ every year, classy from Brentford, you could offset home and away shirt releases so you get a new one every year but not both for example
and that's EXACTLY what we're doing lol, we've just released our away kit. I'm so proud of us for being the first team to take this step forward, and surely others are going to follow as well, more for sustainability reasons than helping family's out, but still.
The thing I love abt Leicesters kit is that it is plain, classic and something which looks nice. Even they can't produce good kits every year. They also run out of ideas sometimes.
As a Brentford fan, I am extremely disappointed with both of you. At least do some bloody research as to WHY we're rolling our kit forward. It's not because we're lazy, it's actually the fucking opposite - we're the ones pushing forward in terms us sustainability, in terms of reducing CO2 emissions from factories in China where loads of kits are made each year. And not just that - kits are bloody expensive. So it's actually refreshing that a club are putting their economic demands to one side to instead respect the countless of fans who want to buy the new kits every year but can't due to financial constraints, and especially this year with a ginormous cost of living crisis. I think other clubs will start to follow the trend and also release kits on 2 year cycles, particularly as the climate comes to the fore, and we're actually taking a proactive approach to this, not a "lazy" one.
I agree that Brentford should be commended for it. Unfortunately, Thogden has grown up in a world where you get a new home, away and third kit every season. I diasgree that we're moving in that direction. I think we're moving in the opposite direction with ranges ever expanding, quite apart from three new kits every season, there's also the player worn match spec shirts and pre match shirts and training ranges. It's getting worse.
Chelsea makes a plain blue kit with a nice texture and even an interesting collar - Thogdad hates it Liverpool makes an even more plain red kit with no collar at all - Thogdad loves it Make it make sense

Literally Tottenham charging £70 for a white shirt year in year out is ridiculous you wear the same colour at home every year might aswell keep it.

@@finnoah-chesters1432 at least our away kits change, but yeah lately our home kits have been very similar and quite boring tbh

Fulham just released their kit yesterday. You should make another vid with fulham
The Fulham kit had to come out as the video was uploaded
Even as a Liverpool fan I don't like our home shirt it's to simple for me I prefer the Away top
class like usual!
Thogdad needs his eye checked. Saying that Chelsea's is simple when Everton and Liverpool is just as simple
Loving the vids!
Theo you put Liverpool shirt low and Nottingham forest high forest just stole a great Liverpool shirt and made it worse
Actually, MAN UTDs looks like ARSENALs jersey. Arsenal's jersey came out first than any other team I think in the world for this season.
Love the kits
I want Macron to get bigger and bigger contracts because virtually every kit they make around the world is on point.
