Two week training course!!! My dad made me work with him for almost two years before I touched the crane on a job site and I grow up around cranes. I guess thats the difference in the amount of insurance.
Oh and not all crane manufacturers require for the tires to be completely off the ground. And there is no law that says that they have to be. The notes of each cranes tells you that.
Lol complicated math and formulas??? I guess that’s what they call arithmetic math now. You just need to know how to add and subtract. There is very little division and or multiplication involved. It’s the riggers’ job to know entry level algebra. Oh and for the two week program?!?! Ooh ooh. The Seabees (Navy) for those that don’t know, have a four week program and that still isn’t anywhere close enough to being ready to be a “crane operator”... but I guess you have to start somewhere.

Why are the tires so high off the ground? Its not needed, 2" is good
