M M Yup and they still make those stools. It’s funny the older vintage ones usually are worth more money in today’s decor standpoint. I have two of them one from my grandfather and father, I absolutely love them.

Seeing how much you will make off this unit, you could donate the fabric to a church. Lots of them make quilts for the homeless. Sometimes there is a Senior Center that will make nice things with the fabric. Like Crissy M said, if you have a thrift shop the patterns would be a nice sale. It is always rewarding to give. Thanks for sharing. Hi from Michigan.

My mother's church has a huge sewing group that makes dresses for needy woman in America, Africa and other places. They've made thousands of dresses. They use cotton or cotton blend material. They're always looking for cheap fabric or donations They sometimes use the scraps that are too small to make dresses with and they make quilts also. They're located in Michigan.

All that fabric would do well in your thrift shop....even the patterns...a lot of people still sew..You can't buy that kind fabric or those patterns any more.

Yes, you are correct, Chrissy. To Thrift Trader: Vintage patterns and fabric that is hard to find, will sell greatly. Don't lose any needles either! The beading needles, they are super thin to fit into the holes of tiny seed beads. I am a seamstress and crafter, so a lot of items that are in the storage I am familiar with...you will make some decent money. The funky sewing machine, is for embroidery, it creates different thread designs, like making embroidered patches! I would say maybe $200. for that machine.

Yes a lot of people collect old patterns. I have two from 1920! I just can't believe all the NEW NEVER USED items.

I absolutely love the issues with Papaw in them! He cracks me up! He tells it like it is! I think he's not being truthful about his age though because he doesn't look a day over 60 in these videos. His white hair reminds me of my Papaw's.

Sell them in bundles, maybe fill the small bag, and set it at a fair opening bid. Instead of each, make bundles of threads, beads, etc. Blessings

Contact a quilters guild organization to sell that fabric. There should be some in all the southern states.

Put the sewing stuff or any of the things up on FB Marketplace or Craigslist. That would be one way to go. I sure you have your sources as well. Good luck!

I would sort garbage and thrift store while I was there and drop it off on my way home. Storage places have dumpsters. At least some stuff would be taken care of. I would personally love to go through all that.

Vintage fabric can sell for big money as certain fabrics are no longer produced. I cannot believe what you have found!

I don't know how old this video is, but if you didn't figure out a way to get rid of the fabrics you might try looking for a women's quilting circle that would probably love it. Crazy how some people buy just because they think they will do something with the items.

Oh my goodness, I did, too! I found a $100 tucked away in one of those tiny pockets back when my kids were little and we were living paycheck to paycheck and barely making it. It was a million dollars to us! But I couldn't live with the guilt so I took it back to the store, along with the jeans. I told the lady at the counter I had just purchased jeans the day before...she cut me off and said "We don't give refunds, but you're welcome to donate them back to us". I said, "No, I found this in the small pocket..." She looked like she was getting ready to grab it from me. But just then, the lady who rang up my purchase the previous day (I'll call her L2 and the first lady I'll call, L1) L2 came over and asked what the problem was. I explained that I found the money in the pocket. L2 looked like she suddenly recognized me from the previous day. She said, "Impossible. We would've caught it, or it would've dropped out in the laundering". I tried to explain, "I don't have this kind of cash. I know it came from this jean's pocket..." L1 also tried with me to explain that it wasn't mine, but L2 cut us off..."IM--POSS--I--BLE! You didn't find it in the jeans!", and then she gave me a look like she was looking down at the floor but her eyes were looking over her glasses at me with raised eyebrows...like she was trying to say, "NOW do you understand?" I'm usually a bit slow in the uptake when it comes to people saying one thing but meaning the other; but L1 seemed ticked that L2 intervened. I know if L2 hadn't shown up, that money would've ended up in L1's pocket. I mean, I didn't think it at the time, and I would've handed it to her; but looking back through my life and experiences...I'm so glad L2 basically told me to keep it. If this had happened today, I would've donated it back...but then again, I wouldn't be shopping there today. We've moved up to Walmart, Baby! Funny, that. When we were dirt poor, we appreciated things more. We aren't rich today, but if I found $100, I'd think, "Oh, awesome!". Back then, it was like jumping up and down, "We're rich!!! We're rich!!! We're RICH!!" I might as well have won the lottery!
