Man it has been a stressful week and a half and coming home seeing these 1-3 hour FF7 archives, whether it's NT or Remake, is so comforting. Thanks a lot for uploading all of this stuff, FF7 or not.
This. I've had a shitty as year, and these are keeping me going at night when the silence takes over.
47:02 when you leave Cloud idle, the posture and movement he does is identical to that of Zack's in Crisis Core. Such a cool detail.
Thank you for going through that at the beginning, letting people know that's not Zack in his head. I see that theory everywhere and it drives me nuts.
You shouldn't let other peoples opinions "drive you nuts" lmfaooo
So not only does Sephiroth live rent free in Clouds head, he just walks around without a shirt like it's his house or something.
To be honest dude, we do appreciate the lack of a Warning at the beginning of the video about Max constantly Pausing and such, but for most of us that's EXACTLY what we came here for. More and more Warnings of Max Pausing and talking about FF7/Remake. LOL (But yes, there are some minor few that do not want that Warning.) Thank you for Uploading these.
Yup, I'm here for the Lore :)
At 47 min max says the game has no direct references to Yuffie. There is one thing I noticed though when you go find Johnny's stolen wallet....there is a guy standing next to him that gives you the Yuffie theme song. Def more of a nod than direct reference but you know they placed that theme song right next to a quest about stolen items on purpose.
Theory: Sephiroth really Died at Nibelheim, Cloud indeed did kill him.
JENOVA the Calamity from the Skies who decieved the Cetra by appearing as their loved ones is in THE FORM of Sephiroth. Similar story with Hojo. It all comes back to Jenova. Jenova vs Minerva vs Aerith
Late reply but unfortunately you're wrong as it's already confirmed that Sephiroth has overwhelmed Jenova a long time ago in the original game.
The end of OG Cloud fight sephiroth (janova cell) in himself
After one wiged angle die sephiroth secret plan try to rebirth with cloud body by janova cell in him
If cloud lose to sephiroth in the end of the game ,cloud will become sephiroth with new body
I mean, there are multiple references to FFX to the point to where its less of an easter egg and more of an implication that the games are actually connected. Hell, the shop you go to with Tifa at the beginning has FFX music in it. The Lifestream being a thing. Even the color of the lifestream of both games are relatively the same color. Shinra. The overall theme of FF7. The VR presentation of Neo Midgar looks like a Garden from FF8 but in the world of FFX.
Doesn’t Zack also have Jenova cells inside of him??
Aerith: One date outta do it.
Proceeds to date Cloud at each and every moment she can.
"why doesn't atlas come help me already??? this turtle doesn't fucking die!!!"

Sorry Max but the comparison of the plot ghosts to the summons of 15 is silly. Of course we hate the plot ghosts in 7 cuz as you said, we're meant to. Even our party members get sick of their shenanigans but the summons in 15 are literal gods. They're held in reverence because they're the gods of that world that people hold in high esteem for that very reason. Unlike the plot ghosts who get in our way just to be pests and enact the planet's will, the deities in 15 test us because they need to make sure we're actually up to the task of fighting Ardyn (and because Leviathan is just an asshole in that game). The contexts for them are honestly completely different though I do fully agree with what is being said about the whispers. It's clear the developers didn't even want the players to like them. Also, small side note. Elena is NOTHING like Cissnei. Cissnei is nice like you said and honestly....I don't see how she ever became a Turk considering her personality but Elena is a total asshole. Unlike Cissnei, she ENJOYS the dirty work of being a Turk and hurting people. Hell, she even brags to us a few times about wanting to fight us and get revenge for Reno. Also unlike Cissnei, she isn't very smart considering she constantly spills the beans on what the Turks and Shinra are planning as well as gets captured by Corneo. Sorry, that got longer than I meant it to and I know Max is never gonna see this but had to say it lol.
It'd be interesting if Cloud is like a companion for Zack in his timeline. Cloud would conceivably be just as strong as he is in the main timeline.
I'm REALLY interested in finding out how fucked up Cloud would be if he didn't have that Zack persona to cling himself to.
I think Max does not get excited about 10 being the history of ff7 because he does not know too much about ffx plot.
Reading that Kyle James comment at 53:25....🤦♂️
The line Aerith says “crazy us meeting like this again huh?” Might refer to her meeting Zack in the same way
More like she already met Cloud and actually talked to him. Zack and Cloud aren't the same person.
So... why is Sephiroth naked in Clouds subconscious!?
Ive seen scarier things in my sleep. Hmmm 🤔
47:00 the stuff about cid has gotta be the dumbest fanboy crap I've ever heard. Max just says stuff just to say stuff sometimes
What do you mean, thats a very good idea from max and another way to add world building to the game. It makes a lot of sense to add little moments or hints to characters before theyre properly introduced so that it feels like the character didnt just pop into existance when the plot needed him, he was already here and had a life before the game needed a new party member to join the team.
