One of the most common problems when playing a chess tournament in a different country is that you never know how to offer a draw. It's always a weird fixed expression and you don't learn chess lingo in language courses.
@@eljanrimsa5843 My experience is that you just put out your hand and say nothing. At least that's what we did here in Norway, even though everyone spoke Norwegian. It's seen as kinda rude to talk during a tournament when other players are playing next to you.
