Sequels like this and Short Circuit 2 are golden. The franchises still hold a cult following, I seriously cannot imagine, Gremlins 5: Gremlins in Space (okay maybe I can)

Smart writing throughout entire film! It's a straight comedy, dare i say the first one had a dark, scary undertone, but i think it's mostly all just dark humor with the first film.
Literally everything about this movie is PERFECT except the stop motion and a few of the effects (like the electricity gremlin frying them all at the end). They probably won't do it, but it would be awesome to see these scenes get an updated treatment for a new edition.

It seems like everyone got concerned then at 1:00 like they were thinking, "he wasn't a sidewalk performer, he was in danger of a monster attacking him."
This always saddens me. I always felt bad for this one. At 0:56 he just seems like he knows he's done. When he sits on the top of the building, most sad gremlin death ever :-(

Since most concrete is weather treated(once it dries) , It wont wash off even under heavy rain or storms, The hard stone coating like would likely prevent the gremlin from multipying. That is assuming its even still alive if it hasn't died from starvation.

It's shown earlier in the movie that the gremlins have a highly adaptable genetic structure. A bunch of them broke into a genetic testing facility and drank a lot of the formulas. One turned into a vegetable gremlin, another turned into pure electricity, one more turned into a half spider gremlin, so on and so on. One drank a brain chemical and got super smart, he then injected one that drank a formula that turned it into a half bat with a solution that made it immune to sunlight, hence why it was out in broad daylight. Hope that clears it up for you.
This scene is rather far fetched: If the gremlin is covered in cement, I doubt its foremost thought would be to fly to the highest point and settle on the church steeple, particularly as the cement would make its wings rather heavy, not to mention the fact that the cement dries in record time. Still it does make a good special effect.
Well. Cement dries quicker depending on how the humidity in the air, and also how high the altitude is. The bat gremlin going up high on the church building can make the dry time of the cement a little faster. Not instant like in the movie, but still a little quicker dry time. But if the gremlin flew in a higher altitude like the height of the empire state building or higher, it can dry really fast, maybe like how it was in the movie.
