Did extreme winter camping (mostly Adirondaks) all my life (for 40 yrs) until I got disabled (work related) 20 yrs ago.
With your channel, I can at least still enjoy it at some level. Ty.

I think I found someone that likes coffee as much as I do. I do the same thing after my first sip "thumbs up". I'm not able to camp like this for myself anymore. So your videos put me out there without all the noise and chatter. Thumbs Up!!

Few know how to properly use a camp axe.These days there are many backpackers who have never even held an axe, let alone know how to use it - or sharpen it! Thanks Erik, for this peaceful video. I like solo camping because I seldom disagree with myself.;o)

How ever. Why do so many people like you having found a great camp site and settled in warm and comfortable only stay one night and then move on.
If I was doing this and loving the camp site and countryside I would stay and relax loving nature for at least a few days .

I love these silent features... they are always so intense. The natural sounds remind me of the tunes I pay for on Apple to put me to sleep. You are pure artistic. From the moment you enter on the camera 🎥 until you exit. Just priceless and very simplistically detailed. Just very picturesque. Keep hike/camping.

I watch cold weather camping trips for a virtual experience. I cook and enjoy. Set up camp for comfort. Build fires for warmth and cozy down for a comfortable nights sleep. Erik, your videos provide none of these virtual experiences. Your camps are harsh and uncomfortable. Your cooking is completely uneatable. Your fires provide no warmth. I watch and can do nothing but shiver thru your entire video ! Warm up a bit ! Eat something appetizing. Cozy up a little . Clean up the camp. And sleep well !

Absolutely amazing.... I believe first use of open tarp in such frigid cold.... I love your tarp setups used in summers, but in cold and wind, very brave....

Not here in eastern US. It's cold but not freezing except on a few nights. Lots of cold rain and wind though.

You went very light for this overnighter, same clothes for the night and minimum gear. I guess it was because the temperature was only below freezing that you went that light.

Hej Erik, Julafton is a month away, but it looks like winter is well along in northern Sweden. Guess the short days and long nights keep the snowfall in pristine condition. Those northern woods look so peaceful and serene. You are the consummate winter camper, and always amazed at how you get all of your equipment back into your rucksack. Tusen tack

Thanks for that. I like the minimalist approach. Gear. Temperature.? Process is as important as destination. Again. thank you. The effort to communicate is a struggle in and of itself.
More time videos please....25 min at least with details like a fire light in the tarp, 3 or 4 min with sound of burning wood. 3 or 4 min with the camera into the tarp with the open side looking the panorama so ear the natural sound. No talk please as you doing, that very good! Thank you😊
