By far one of the greatest videos I have ever seen because of how you produce your videos and also your calming tone of voice is welcoming.I am Portuguese and am going to Funchal Madeira at the end of September.I am born in the States my parents from Porto Portugal which I'm going to visit also.I grew up in both Portugal and Boston Ma. I speak Portuguese however am a little rusty from not speaking it,so being in the group would be helpful..Ty again for such awesome videos they are incredible! God's speed to you..🙏💐
It's not flat like The Netherlands at all regarding bicycles. But, we see bicycles in Funchal. And come across some in the mountains, amazingly! Those people are in very good shape.
Loved the video! I've been going to Porto Santo, or Pxo (as Madeirans call it) since I was a child. It's the favourite holiday destination for many Madeirans and we have a special place in our heart for that island, as it holds so many memories. 😊❤

Thank you for sharing this. My wife and myself has been to Madeira 5 times, and every time we say why didn’t we go over to Porto Santo to enjoy the beach. Next time we really must go there. Not as much to watch as over on the main island, but I suppose it’s nice enough. So now I just need do some research to find a nice hotel there, and plan our next trip.

Ola Wolf, just a quick correction for you. Porto Santo is indeed known as the Golden Island but not because of its beautiful beach. It was given this name, as up until 40 years ago, it used to get lots of rain. This allowed the Island to produce Cereals but 40 years ago, the rains stopped & the Island became very, very dry & the crops died. It was called the Golden Island because of the crops.

I've been curious... There doesn't seem to be a lot of bicycles. Would it be fairly early to get around that island by bike?

What is the public transport like here? Looks warmer than Madeira which is good but I wouldn't be driving...
Olá! It is a very small island. You will see many bikes and plenty of taxi's.

You can rent a bicycle and pick it up at port when the ship docks. That is what we are going to try the next try we go.
