Yeah we always keep our blinds half-way up because I made 9" wide window perches
for him to sit on and see out our windows to look at the birds and squirrels.
I have old fashioned windows that open vertically and are much different than yours
but someone else may be able to use my ideas below.
    www.homedepot.com/p/27-in-x-96-in-2-5-Metal-Lath-Galvanized-4113145/312485681
I have been using metal lath sheets from Home Depot to catproof our windows and screened in porch.
    You can get a sheet 27" X 96" for about $10
Cats do not like climbing this lath sheeting.
When they get their toenails in the sheeting, it is hard to retract their nails.
I have been cutting the 96" length into 2 long sections 13.5 inches high.
I clean the jagged edges up after using wire cutters to make this cut.
Then I use cupholder hooks to hold up the lath strip around the perimeter of the catwalk
on our screened porch. Before I did this our cat was climbing the screens and tearing them
up with his sharp toe nails. I also use smaller lath sections to prevent the cat from climbing
on top of the indoor window frames. We have older type windows that lift up and down
vertically. Our cat was jumping on top of the narrow "ledge" above the closed front
(bottom) window and then using that position to jump onto the curtains and tear them up.
I put a 31" by 13.5" section of lath near the top of the bottom window so he could
no longer lift himself up to sit atop the bottom window.

Did you bother to check the channel's ABOUT page where they have the website URL?

i'm on the ground floor and have a screened in patio...no exit door out of the patio, only door from house to patio. when I let my dog out to play on the patio, she scratches the screen trying to get out to other animals, I.e. squirrels, lizards etc. which product should I use in this situation as I am not trying to screen a door? thank you.
