      I still get old R12 vehicles excellent for that.
      And on a roof type and HVAC there’s nothing like being on a hot roof in the sun maybe the wind maybe being hungry and frustrated and you have no patience and you can’t get that valve Core.
      Or how about when you pull the valve out and it drops down into never Neverland .

      Since they also produce vacuum pumps and vacuum hoses
      I’m pretty sure you don’t have to bet that they produce their vacuum fittings to operate in the same range that they developed their vacuum pump operate in

    If the gap is correct on the end of the push rod and you don't overtighten the core tool Schrader comes out every time, no need for the sight glass. When it's adjusted right you should feel a pop when it grabs the Schrader. I will admit that this used to be a struggle for me.
    Vacuum rated side valve is nice for connecting micron gauge without a second core tool. 👍 I bought a JB core tool that had this, but the valve was faulty. I don't like to use a Schrader on my micron gauage port it's another reaction.
    Sight glass would be nice so I can see when I've switched to to vapor when recovering from larger VRV/VRF systems, but any increase in size may make its use impossible. YES I'M TALKING TO YOU DAIKIN! I shouldn't have to unscrew ports from their base and bend them out to get a core tool connected.! As for the sight glass I probably just need to get a See-All with flair fittings. When using the Mega-Flo SPDKIT-R you can kinda tell you've switched to vapor when the ice melts from your core tool and "Y" but its not exact LOL!

      Yes LG MUTI V put one of the three service fittings for heat recovery you can not get core tool in there .

    • @HVAC559
      @HVAC559 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@coldfinger459sub0 Daikin you can't get it on the liquid line port, without modification! All ports should be serviceable. Especially when there is no filter-drier in the system a deep vacuum is so important!

    • @coldfinger459sub0
      @coldfinger459sub0  7 месяцев назад

      @@HVAC559 yes the previous generation on the LG I could get into all three, and then, when they modified and upgraded to their next generation, they denied me access to one port I was not happy.
      But when I’m doing brand new installs on something that big with 1000 feet or more of piping, I tried to plan it on a Friday . That it’s time to put the vacuum pump on and I come back on Monday leaving the vacuum pumps all three of them one on each line running 24 hours a day for three days.
      Usually by the first day, it’s down to somewhere around 13 or 20 µm .

      @@coldfinger459sub0 OMG below 300 µm! The sky will fall oil will evaporate!!! LOL A Class I attended to get BS A2L cert, the "instructor/sales rep" told the class you can't go below 300 µm or the oil will start boiling. REALLY!!! as I rolled my eyes! I thought about sending him a copy of "Review of Vacuum for Service Engineers" originally published in 1959, but . . . nah I made a pledge to myself not argue with the with the "instructor/sales rep's" LOL!

    Maybe just make a micron gauge that pressure an refergerant won't bother.

    • @coldfinger459sub0
      @coldfinger459sub0  6 месяцев назад +1

      The closest most durable micron gauge is the Accutools Blu Vac
      It can take pressure
      A little more resistance to oil.
      The way the sensor works it can’t have oil on them.

    does it come with adapters to fit on a car 2 or the rod is too short anyway?

    • @coldfinger459sub0
      @coldfinger459sub0  7 месяцев назад

      It fits on all old R12 cars with quarter inch threaded service fittings
      This is not intended to connect to 134 or 1234YS modern service adapters .
      In those cases, the majority of the valve course have extremely large diameter, and have very good flow characteristics . So you do not have to worry about removing the valve core..
      But you do need a method to hook up your dedicated micron gauge and have a ball valve that is separate to open and close during your vacuum and your recharge
