Scott did far better at hiding his reaction than I ever would have. I'd have been hard-pressed not to tackle-hug Jane the moment she stepped off the elevator.
Everything about this was awesome. Especially the ending. The sheer, abject belief in each other moved me to tears, especially when Scott's decision was revealed. No, Jane, he didn't bet against you. He knew you could. And you did. So moving.
Really nice couple, down to the 100% easiest questions they always check with each other before acting on their own. A ton of money that they constantly emphasize the importance of for their family, and they still trust each other to collect it all. She also has a memory of steel, she has to have eidetic memory or a crazy good mnemonic to handle it all. I like how the trivia itself isn't actually that difficult, it all comes down to memory under pressure and the risk of the panic rooms. Wish the show stuck around longer.
Yeah, kinda wish FOX picked up the rights instead of ABC, they cancel all of the good shows *take 101 Ways to leave a Game show for example but BBC 1 did it better*.
Iremember watching this on youtube 6 years ago, i thank my youtube recomendations, as this show is awesome, as i allways searched the exit show, and it didnt show me this.
I personally wouldn't be too happy if NASA called it the "Trouble" telescope! The time for recalling the exit list should be any unused time from correct answers to questions, or perfectly done panic rooms (which would have given them a total of 150 seconds here).
I would add a caveat to that. If the players enter a Panic Room, the only way no money is at stake is if the challenge is not finished perfectly (10 consecutive correct answers before the 30-second time limit expires). However, if the Panic Room is done perfectly, the vault should contain double the amount of money correspondent to its location (example: if someone enters a Panic Room on the £4,000 row, and they finish perfectly [10 correct answers consecutively] for the challenge, they receive £8,000.), but the route leading straight ahead still remains blocked-off. Unless it's a Panic Room on the back row; then, if the players finish the challenge perfectly, they receive double the money and the route to the next unentered room opens back up.
The crazy thing is that I think this show only went one season because of the difficulty. This couple almost aced the only panic room and got all but one of the questions right. That was one of the cleaner exit lists in this game.
The only thing that I disagree with is that as far as the Panic Rooms go, if you pass on any answer it's gone for good. They should have allowed the players to go back to any that they skipped, if there's still time left on the clock. That at least would give them a fighting chance.
Sometimes I wish these British quiz shows would come to the US but then I remember the American version of The Chase and I'm glad that the British keep the good ones to themselves
I mean they did do a US version of The Cube hosted by Neil Patrick Harris (same studio as the british version tho) but they canned it before it made tv
And it's not just game shows. I found out there's an American version of King of Masked Singer. And let's just say, I think the US should stop taking shows from other countries (especially changing it the way they do).
I loved this game show, thanks for the memories, still can’t understand why they didn’t make another series, it was fab, and that was an amazing run of luck, £137,000, wow
Second, the cash they let you rack up on British games shows just isn't enough. I remember Groucho Marx brought YOU BET YOUR LIFE to the UK, he actually asked a question, it wasn't too difficult, and paid the contestant ten shillings, or $1.40, for the answer. I couldn't believe you'd pay someone $1.40 on TV, even then (1965).
If I did The Exit List, on the Panic Rooms if you pass on one you go back to it if there's time left on the clock, I didn't like the fact if you pass, it's gone.
Actually I picture it more like this $5K, $10K, $25K, $50K, $75K, $100K, and a $500,000 jackpot room. ABC should've gave it a chance instead of scrapping it.
Okay, but why is this so easy to make a ton of money on this show? Congrats to her, but while exiting the maze she chose a wrong room and it just blinked red and she wasn't penalized. Also, recalling them in any order is WAY to easy, they should have to remember it in the opposite order in which they were done.
+SeaGreenCP Also, it seems easy here because they played a(n almost) flawless game. Wrong answers to questions add four items to the exit list, and panic codes can reach 10 letters/numbers.
Talk about the perfect game. They even made 2 silly tactical errors (needlessly risk being locked in instead of moving forward and not immediately exiting once they found the £100,000) and it didn't matter in the end!
At 39:56 you can see the screen in front of him says “Accept” and “Reject” - I’m assuming that’s a touch screen and he just touched one of the words (and they used tactical camera angles to keep the decision secret)
I actually think this show could work in America. I think NBC or ABC would do a solid job with it. For ABC I would go with this host or Mike Greenburg who does Mike In Mike in the Morning on ESPN 2. I think this would have an entertainment feel to it, as long as ABC or NBC doesn't bury it in a bad time slot.
There was a pilot version of it released in the U.S., but it was a total flop. Not only was the maze larger (which resulted in a longer exit list), but there was a "Panic Ring" (a ring of unavoidable Panic Rooms) that had to be passed through (at least one) to get to the vaults with the high-value prizes and money amounts.
Why did the host keep saying "You want xxx and ONLY xxx to appear on you exit list"? I mean, did they have any choice to keep 2 answers at once? weird.
Should the contestants fail a question, all four possible answer choices are added to their Exit List. All four must be recited in one room, and they are treated as a single item.
Squishy3000 think of it as a penalty if you get the question wrong. Get itbright, and you only get one answer, get it wrong and you get ALL of the answers.
Anyone who practiced Mnemonics could easily memorize that 'exit list'. They could learn to do it in a few days max, and recall it in order, or backwards even. Pretty silly concept really.
SchwarzeWitwe2 No, I meant you could learn an entire system of mnemonics and, as a complete beginner, memorize the entire sequence. A pro, like the guys and gals who attend the world memory championships could do this pretty much effortlessly.
Yes, other countries have different currencies, the US, Australia, and Canada use Dollars "not same dollars", UK uses Pounds, some parts of Europe use Euros, Mexico uses Pesos, Japan Yen, you get where I'm going?
Damn. Give this guy an Academy Award or whatever the British equivalent of an Emmy is. He sold the hell out of that "regret" reaction at the end.
David B Wondered at the time if he was regretting taking the 55k, or crying cos they had won a massive £137k. Great poker face!
This is probably one of the best game shows ever! I love it!
TomtoMario totally!
I love it too. I love trivia
i know I am quite randomly asking but does anyone know of a good site to watch new movies online?
@Aarav Alan flixportal =)
@Lachlan Damon Thanks, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there =) I really appreciate it !!
damn, i was sold by scotts facial expressions at the end thinking he took the deal. damn! well played
Scott did far better at hiding his reaction than I ever would have. I'd have been hard-pressed not to tackle-hug Jane the moment she stepped off the elevator.
I'd rather they just put him in a curtained area off-camera or something. Feels kinda fake..meh.
+Adrian Emili I was the same, it looked like a look of severe regret... lol
Dat boi shouuld be an actor, god damn! Get out the way Keanu, HE'S THE ONE
What happens if The Exit List contestant fails to answer trivia questions correctly or incorrectly.
44:14 How genuinely happy does Matt Allwright look! Also watch just before the credits roll, he punches the air with delight!! Briliant!!
damn the husband has a bad-ass poker face. for a mo' i was like "guess who's sleeping on the couch tonight?"
They prolly tell them to look depressed so the audience doesnt know lmao
Or he's just really proud of what his wife just accomplished. I mean, seriously, HOW DID SHE DO THAT?!?
@Damien Dax Is that available in the US, and if so, how much does it cost?
Everything about this was awesome. Especially the ending. The sheer, abject belief in each other moved me to tears, especially when Scott's decision was revealed. No, Jane, he didn't bet against you. He knew you could. And you did. So moving.
Third, what a genuinely nice couple. Partners in everything, it seems.
Relationship goals, right there!
Best Exit List contestants ever! Shame this wasn't commissioned for a second series.
Yeah tell me about it, also we were going to get an American version but ABC chose not to bring it.
cutemimi25
Being an American, this makes me sad. I would have loved to see this game in the US.
Yeah, kinda wish FOX picked up the rights instead of ABC, they cancel all of the good shows *take 101 Ways to leave a Game show for example but BBC 1 did it better*.
cutemimi25 It would've been better without the reality show section.
***** Amen to that.
Iremember watching this on youtube 6 years ago, i thank my youtube recomendations, as this show is awesome, as i allways searched the exit show, and it didnt show me this.
This is a great show ! What a nice couple
I personally wouldn't be too happy if NASA called it the "Trouble" telescope!
The time for recalling the exit list should be any unused time from correct answers to questions, or perfectly done panic rooms (which would have given them a total of 150 seconds here).
How many vaults are in The Exit List?
Mark Watson the answer is 26, and 21 of them contain cash since the host claims "5 of them are panic rooms"
The crazy thing is that I think this show only went one season because of the difficulty. This couple almost aced the only panic room and got all but one of the questions right. That was one of the cleaner exit lists in this game.
Cleanest - every other team, I believe, got at least one question wrong. I like the difficulty, personally - shame the U.S. didn't pick up this show.
The only thing that I disagree with is that as far as the Panic Rooms go, if you pass on any answer it's gone for good. They should have allowed the players to go back to any that they skipped, if there's still time left on the clock. That at least would give them a fighting chance.
The panic room was the difficult one, I'd have added like 3 or 4 numbers to the exit list. The questions themselves weren't too hard xD
This is still one of my favorite game show moments of all time.
who else clapped for her after the maze?
Sometimes I wish these British quiz shows would come to the US but then I remember the American version of The Chase and I'm glad that the British keep the good ones to themselves
Plus, you know the U.S. will do something to ruin it. (With The Chase, overload of dramatic pauses, and the unnecessary trash talk in some episodes).
I mean they did do a US version of The Cube hosted by Neil Patrick Harris (same studio as the british version tho) but they canned it before it made tv
It almost did, hosted by Mike Greenberg. A pilot was filmed.
And it's not just game shows. I found out there's an American version of King of Masked Singer. And let's just say, I think the US should stop taking shows from other countries (especially changing it the way they do).
I would definitely want to make this show in the US, without the unnecessary bull
US TV is dogwater compared to some of this stuff
I loved this show. It's a shame it never made its way to the US
It actually tried to make it to the US, but ABC decided to pass on the pilot so it never made it on air
Thats the biggest jackpot in Exit list history 💷🎊137,000🎊💷 pounds, insane!!!
Love the music and effects
Thank you for posting this, I've been looking for The Exit List, ever since TheBankersNephew got his accounts terminated.
For any American’s watching, the total the couple won in USD is roughly $178,400
I loved this game show, thanks for the memories, still can’t understand why they didn’t make another series, it was fab, and that was an amazing run of luck, £137,000, wow
# Best Game Shows !
thank's Ivan Wangsa for the random full game show episode uploads 😁👍😉
Second, the cash they let you rack up on British games shows just isn't enough. I couldn't believe you'd pay someone $1.40 on TV, even then (1965).
This is quite an exciting game!!!!
Am I the only one who loves Scottish accents
I like the accents but it is a little hard to understand
If I did The Exit List, on the Panic Rooms if you pass on one you go back to it if there's time left on the clock, I didn't like the fact if you pass, it's gone.
owoowwo I am name outside of my life a name to figure out a little bit of time trying a name 🚻🛂🚻🛂🚺🛃🚺🛃🚺🛃🛃🚻🛃⚠🛃🚸🚸🚰🚻🚻🚮🚻🚰🚰🚻🛃⚠🚸🛃🚸🛂🚸🛂🚻🛂🚸🛂🚸🚮🚻🚮🚻🚰🚻🚰🚻🚰🚻🚰🚻🚻🚰
Agreed. That much at least, would be fair (since it would give the players a chance of finishing a Panic Room with a perfect score).
What a great show!!!
i just love every thing about that women. specially how she treats her man.
It will be back to washing dishes for her after the show.
I wish this had been imported to the US.
I could see it! Rows are $1K, $5K, $10K, $25K, $50K, $100K with $500,000 jackpot room.
Actually I picture it more like this $5K, $10K, $25K, $50K, $75K, $100K, and a $500,000 jackpot room.
ABC should've gave it a chance instead of scrapping it.
If ABC doesn't picked the show, maybe CBS would pick up the show instead for once.
***** Like that'll happen, CBS never picks up primetime game shows.
What if they picked up tipping point?
good job I love the way that they used their minds
fantastic doesn't begin to describe it!
SCOTT was too adorable..." she wears the trousers".."she is a freak"...lol
this was amazing
Excellent, 😊 so good
brilliant show.... would like to see that here in germany
14:06 Didn't the contestant say 28 there? I think the answer checker might have a trouble understanding Scottish accents :P
i intends to watch every gameshow episode that Ivan Wangsa uploaded lol so js 😁👍
The way that I memorised the list as they were getting on was MAHP- LIKE MAP 2'S SaCAT- THAT WAS HOW I MEMORISED THE LIST
This would be a perfect game show for the United States.
Im in tears for them
I would think this could be a possible pick-up by a U.S. network. I think this would be a show that Fox could do for a summer.
ABC was gonna do an American version, but it got rejected.
Okay, but why is this so easy to make a ton of money on this show? Congrats to her, but while exiting the maze she chose a wrong room and it just blinked red and she wasn't penalized. Also, recalling them in any order is WAY to easy, they should have to remember it in the opposite order in which they were done.
+SeaGreenCP fact is that there are people who didn't remember
+SeaGreenCP I say activating a bad room should take 5 or 10 seconds off the clock.
+SeaGreenCP Also, it seems easy here because they played a(n almost) flawless game. Wrong answers to questions add four items to the exit list, and panic codes can reach 10 letters/numbers.
SeaGreenie kkp no
Great day
10:00 That would make a good movie right there.
Talk about the perfect game. They even made 2 silly tactical errors (needlessly risk being locked in instead of moving forward and not immediately exiting once they found the £100,000) and it didn't matter in the end!
Yes, definitely a game that anyone could win needless of certain mistakes.
How to Scott select either accept or reject the offer? By pressing the hidden button below or what?
At 39:56 you can see the screen in front of him says “Accept” and “Reject” - I’m assuming that’s a touch screen and he just touched one of the words (and they used tactical camera angles to keep the decision secret)
@@YoshiFawful64 If you look below the words you see a small section with 2 small buttons for each option, so no-one can really see what he goes for.
42:17: WINNER!
41:58: WRONG ROOM!!!
When did this air?
First of all, please stop giving away the outcome in the comments. I sometimes read the comments first, as I did now, and I didn't need the spoiler.
NICE!!!!!!!!!
Why can't shows like these come to the US?
good show wishwe had it in canada
Damn this is nerve-wracking 😫😫, I wouldn't survive this😩😩😩
46:35 googlebox enter tainment
42:17 VICTORY!
How come I've never heard of this show?
Woah! New RUclips video info layout!

In UK?
Easiest questions ever!
+Scott Meckley I agree with you, Mike Greenberg would be brilliant. He was awesome on Duel.
kasey westbrook as long as the host doesn't rub it in the contestant's face if he/she gets it wrong.
Anyone else think this show's kinda scary?
How? I mean it's just a gameshow.
You mean every gameshow that always dark?
This would be a great show for the us
Why did the host keep saying "You want xxx and ONLY xxx to appear on you exit list"? I mean, did they have any choice to keep 2 answers at once? weird.
Should the contestants fail a question, all four possible answer choices are added to their Exit List.
All four must be recited in one room, and they are treated as a single item.
I see.. That makes sense.. It's much harder to remember the incorrect answers than the right one. They were really good :D
+Vire70 except you don't have a few days, just the course of 30 minutes?
SchwarzeWitwe2 No, I meant you could learn an entire system of mnemonics and, as a complete beginner, memorize the entire sequence. A pro, like the guys and gals who attend the world memory championships could do this pretty much effortlessly.
+Vire70 you're not making any sense lad..
Wow!!!! What a game...
Who is the announcer
It’s a computer voice
you could totally tell that he clicked reject
Scott's face and his facial expressions remind me sooo much of Martin Freeman!
5pm this taken
I like how Scott is a scot...
Lol. How ironic.😂
on there panic room they had it right 28 year but they chose to pass face palm but awesome job nonetheless.
This game show is amazing
just saying ... i would've won it all by myself.. the questions weren't that hard and the list was so eaaaasy .. the only hard part was the panic room
I hope the US will have the franchise....
Well done
What are the rules
Did you even listen to the host?
This was a rush
