Virtual Stakeholder Event “Coastal Resilience: An Atlantic Ocean of Action”

The All-Atlantic Ocean Research and Innovation Alliance (AAORIA) held the Virtual Stakeholder Networking Event titled “Coastal Resilience: An Atlantic Ocean of Action,” on 5 September 2024, from 14:00 to 16:00 CET. The event informed participants about and invited them to engage in the All-Atlantic Ocean Research and Innovation Alliance Action Area on Increasing Resilience of Coastal Communities. Agreed by the Members of the Alliance, this Action Area has the aim of:
‘Increasing our understanding of the relationship between the ocean and climate and developing outcome-oriented science for mitigating and adapting to the consequences of climate change, particularly for the benefit of increasing resilience of coastal communities.’
Attendeesshared their needs, visions, and opinions on coastal resilience, supported by insights from speakers showcasing the activities of diverse coastal communities.
