Awesome Schoendinst cards! You should do a video of your favorite cards of the newly honored Salvador Perez. He’s my favorite active non cardinal, so it was awesome to see him join Yadier Molina as a Roberto Clemente Award recipient.
U. L. And Mickey Klutts deserve to be named on that SGC flip! Beautiful cards, Chris. The horizontal Kell in particular is gorgeous. I hope you make Don whole before the authorities get a hold of you!
The ‘50, ‘51 and ‘52 Bowmans are all artist’s line drawing renditions taken from black and white photographs of the players. In their way they are quite attractive, but using the same technique three years in row gave a sameness to them that couldn’t compete with the larger, touched up, airbrushed color of the now iconic 1952 Topps set. There is one card in the 1951 Bowman set that is original artwork, not derived from a black and white photograph. It’s card #195 of Chicago White Sox manager Paul Richards, who was hired after Bowman had begun production of the set so a card of him was rendered in an almost cartoon fashion compared to the other cards in the set. Enjoyed your presentation. 👍 Terry Farmer
I think my favorite was the Ashburn because it's from the Whiz Kids year, but they're all great. Thanks for sharing, but Don may have to put out an APB on those fantastic cards.
You are one of a few collector's picking up Lou Boudreau cards..Lou comes from my hometown of Harvey, IL...He also broadcasted Cub games on radio in the late 50's-60's...A HOF player/manager yet interest is not there on any large scale...I put Nellie Fox in the same category...Why do you think or maybe you disagree..
It's so nice to see those beautiful vintage cards.
Those are some beautiful cards. As a lifelong Red Sox fan, I'll have to add the cards of Bowman Doerr and Boudreau you showed.
Your cards are great. SGC slabs make them pop. Thanks for your content.
Awesome Schoendinst cards!

Agree... the artistry of the 50-52 Bowman cards is without equal.
