  • Route "Charles Bridge" start at the spacious balcony with a Czech flag on it, which can be reached via any of routes #1 through #5. The beginning of this route is shared with route #9 - Frona. After the shared part, the route turns into a rope bridge, made up of one foot rope, and two ropes for hands on each side. Only one person should be on the bridge at any time. It is prudent to always use be clipped into both "handrails" for safety. After the bridge, the summit can be reached by following route #2.
"Charles Bridge" is a reference to the famous bridge in Prague, but the route is named after a famous local old-school climber, Karel Bělina (whose first name translates to Charles), who developed or helped develop most of the via ferrata routes on this wall, and built the rope bridge at his own expense.
I have made a slight mistake in the video - I used both carabiners on the via ferrata set on the right-hand side rope, and my personal anchor on the left-hand side one. The correct way of securing oneself on the bridge is to use one carabiner on the via ferrata set on the right-hand side rope, and the second carabiner on the left-hand side rope. A personal anchor is intended for static loads only, e.g when resting on a climb, and it should not be used when large dynamic loads can occur, e.g. during a fall.
📖 Please inform yourself about principles of safe via ferrata climbing before attempting it.
🧗 Never climb without a helmet!
    - serious head injury can occur if you fall.
    - there is high potential for falling debris from above you
    - there are rental places literally around the corner
👟 Use appropriate footwear. Runners are generally preferred to heavy hiking boots. Climbing shoes are not necessary, but can come handy on harder routes (D+)
    🧤 Gloves are recommended.
    🦨 Please avoid using chalk.
