    You’re an excellent teacher. Thank you for these tips. It’s really frustrating when there is not enough yarn to finish the cast-on. 👍👍👍👍👍❤️

    Wish I saw video yesterday. Had to cast on 168 stitches and kept having to undo it all multiple times before I got it right. Super glad you shared this tip which I'll be using for my next project (have saved it to my favorites list). Thank you!

    Brilliant, just brilliant. Thank you Maryna . You have solved multiple problems for me in one simple video. I never had the confidence to use long tail cast on but your methods may it easier for me to follow. I am a recent subscriber and thoroughly enjoy your presentations. Please may they continue. I am planning to become a patreon shortly.

    I always have this issue and always undoing 100's of stitches. Thank you very very much for all 3 methods. I will probably use one of the first 2.

    I love you channel, you are one of the best knit teachers I've already seen.
    The first time I came across the third method you showed, I thought it brilliant, but with time those three tale stands started to bother me. Now what I do is to use always the same length of yarn to knit my gauge sample (let's say 50 centimeters) and I count how many stitches I was able to cast on for that length. Then I calculate the necessary length I need to leave when I'll cast on all the stitches for my pattern.

    Thank you for these wonderful tips Maryna ! I love the long tail cast on and use it frequently but this can be a problem! The next time I will try one these methods! I’ve only heard of a different one and it’s not very accurate. Thanks again for another great video!😊

    Fantastic tips, thank you for sharing. Just one observation, everyone's elbow to fingers is different. You foot is approximately the length of your forearm. Someone with size 11 feet will have a different length forearm than someone with a size 5 shoe so if you tell us the length of your forearm it would be more accurate. There are a lot of interesting correlations in the human body. For example the measurement from the tip of your finger on one hand to the other will be the same as your height. Of course they are not completely accurate to the mm but close enough for long tail cast on. Thanks again for sharing 😊

      Thank you for the fun facts about the body proportions. I've never heard of either of these facts. I am a big believer in using what's on hand as much as possible, so these bits of knowledge are very helpful. Thank you.
      Of course, we all have different bodies and our arms have different measurements. The tip that I shared in this tutorial is not meant to be an exact measurement, it is just an estimation. Happy knitting, my friend :-)

    Thank you for the clarity of your instructions, when I tried the third method, the first row is always tough to work and I get gaps between stitches. What can I be doing wrong?

    • @10rowsaday
      @10rowsaday  3 года назад +1

      Hi Jamal, When you cast on stitches using the third way, don't pull the strand that you hold in your right hand too hard. This strand forms the stitch and it should be loose enough to make sure the stitch slides easily on the needle. Happy knitting :-)

      Thank you so much, I also watched your pinhole square, how do you divide the stitches to add? And how would would cast off?
