    My engine side cover doesn't look like it only has 3 bolts and still wouldn't come off didn't want to force it it's a 2020 model any ideas ?

      Did you figure out how to remove the cover? I took out the three 8mm bolts and the allen key bolt at the rear and it won't budge at the rear (some wiggle at the front). Not sure if i'm missing something or whether to just pull more). Help appreciated.

    So, as per your comments the cruise speed it's the same but 1.000 rpm higher. That's is the reason why you want to put the original back, right? Are you thinking in another variador like Malossi's?

      Thanks for your answer. I'm not sure. Do you recommend J.Costa variator in order to improve the acceleration or it's just waste money?

      Yes but just slightly different J.Costa model number they do 2020/2022 version and a 2015/2019 version but basically the same..If your thinking of buying one get the 2019 version but use the same 11g weights

    • @BigBoyzToyz1974
      @BigBoyzToyz1974  Год назад +2

      Acceleration is improved without sacrificing top speed or cruising speed only drawback is it sits higher in the rpm when variating so fuel economy suffers but still around 110mpg also much smoother operation

  • @vladt30

    Washer is optional, drops your gearing slightly, thats why it was more revvier....run it without washer, you may like it better.

    Hi mate I have a 2019 forza I changed the variator yesterday for a jcosta one. I noticed when I slow ride the bike feels quite jerky jittery do you know why this is

    • @BigBoyzToyz1974
      @BigBoyzToyz1974  2 года назад +3

      Nope sorry. But fault finding diagnostic did you put the 2 washers in so the belt drops lower also did you change the belt as if on original it can cause a few issues a v belt is best.. mine was fine so can't really say without riding yours

    • @BigBoyzToyz1974
      @BigBoyzToyz1974  Год назад +1

      It's a strange one it does work and helps engine to pick up quicker.but using lighter weights in your original will do that. I kept it on for 400 miles then put original oem back on...so I recommend if your original has come to the end of its life and needs replacing then yes its good but to change for performance upgrade its miniscule returns..I do have videos with it in on my channel...good luck..

    Do you understand the j costa varimstik what weight do you need for yamaha n max 125 ccm on the j costa it has 7g I think it is a bit heavy it should be 9.5 or 10g what do you think?

    • @BigBoyzToyz1974
      @BigBoyzToyz1974  Год назад

      Don't really understand what your saying but if you think 7g is too light what are your symptoms is it reving too high you want the Variator to be at about 7500rpm as accelerating...my forza original weights are 13.5g but the j.costa were 10g

  • @joaomelo61
    @joaomelo61 2 года назад +2

    Exactly the same result as installing slighly lighter rollers on the stock variator = higher rpm.
    5£ rollers vs 160£ vario - J.costa is a big waste of money.

    • @BigBoyzToyz1974
      @BigBoyzToyz1974  2 года назад

      I agree it is better materials and slightly smoother but unless your original has broken or worn out J Costa is a waste of money...like K&N air filters also aftermarket exhausts do nothing for performance but the company's still make a fortune selling them...
