As a native Atlantan (yes, there are some of those; not everyone is from somewhere else originally), this video is pretty spot on. To give some context, Buckhead is north of uptown, but you CAN take MARTA there if you want! You just may need to do some walking and/or Uber/Lyft to where specifically you want to go. Important note about MARTA: If you take the train, make sure you know what line you need to take to get to your destination. Two lines run north-south: Red and Gold. Red goes from the Airport to North Springs (heads mainly north to Buckhead, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs). Gold goes from the Airport and eventually heads northeast after Lindbergh Station to Lenox (Mall), Chamblee all the way to Doraville (near something natives call "Spaghetti Junction." Basically, that's where Interstates 285 and 85 come together on the northeast side). Best times to visit? Typically, March-mid May (remember your allergy medicine) and late September-November. Late May-early September...it is hot and HUMID. Always humid during the summer. You will sweat A LOT. A/C will become your best friend. If you want to be outside during the summer months and haven't been, I highly recommend White Water, a water park off I-75 in Marietta (NW of Atlanta). It's very fun and a great way to cool off. It can be expensive to get in, but if you plan on visiting two or more times, buy a season pass. Pays for itself on two visits. A great thing for families with children of all ages. You will need a car to get there, though. Born and raised here, I love Atlanta and I would not trade my hometown city with any other. Come visit, eat, drink, have a great time and take in all you can. So much history and culture here. Great job on the video, Mark!
As someone who lives in Atlanta I think this video was great! Definitely agree with everything in it. I’d also add a couple things I haven’t seen other people mention: 1) the beltline was briefly touched on in this video but it’s absolutely one of the must do things if you’re visiting atlanta and have some time. If you walk down it there are great views of the city and great bars and restaurants to stop at. Usually events too 2) Piedmont park/botanical garden - also great views of the city, always events going on, and generally pretty. 3) restaurants - he definitely touched on the most famous/touristy restaurants here but I think there are better. Atlanta magazine puts out a list of the best restaurants and it doesn’t miss. Don’t be afraid to drive a little farther to go to one bc it will be worth it
Where you are standing is where I come out of the parking garage every day. My office window faces the Mercedes Benz Stadium. Thank you for emphasizing the severity of the traffic downtown for tourists. It’s awful for us and we sort of know what we’re doing! Would loved to see you and the family while you were here. Love your honesty and humor!
HOLY COW! My husband and I are visiting Atlanta (just for a day or two) in 3 weeks and I was looking for some suggestions. Then this notification popped up! Always check your channel before traveling! THIS IS PERFECT TIMING!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Taqueria Del Sol if y’all are into tacos and margaritas. Jenny’s ice cream is right next door for a sweet treat. Atlantic Station is very nice if you’re into shopping/fine dining. Krog Street Market and Ponce City Market if you’re into local hipster districts.
Two recommendations: a) The amazing variety of authentic ethnic restaurants, mostly Asian, along the Buford Highway. b) The Carlos Museum at Emory. (And by the way, there are plenty of restaurants in Atlanta that serve only Pepsi products.)
He's absolutely correct about driving in Atlanta. Entering Atlanta and trying to navigate my way through the city was one of the most memorable drives of my life because it was so stressful. It's in my top three, along with trying to drive in downtown New Orleans, and driving over the Blue Mountains in Oregon when the fog was so thick I literally had no visibility and thought I would go over the edge at any moment.
Went to Atlanta for a work trip a number of years back (2011), and my wife tagged along. It had to be one of the best trips we ever went on. We were able to get around just using public transit, however we did have an issue with getting back to our hotel after visiting the Botanical Gardens. It was like the buses stopped running in that area. But the amazing southern hospitality worked in our favor, and the lady that was working at the gift shop gave us a ride back to the MARTA station.
Atlanta is famously known as the city hidden in the trees its practically surrounded by mountains and major forests so if you are in Atlanta feel free to see some of the actually amazing nature reserves
It's actually one of the most heavily forested cities in North America. You don't realize this until you look down from a height (like the Peachtree Plaza hotel or the top of the Marriott) and see all the tree cover winding between the streets and buildings, as compared to, say, NYC.
Great video. I moved to Atlanta about four years ago from South Florida and I love it here. Traffic sucks of course but I try to avoid it at all cost. Just need to mention a few things. If you want to eat some of the best international foods in the city go to Buford Highway. You can find the best Vietnamese, Indoensian, Colombian, Central American, and more on this 7 mile road. Also if you want to find a good place to eat without hurting your wallet in Midtown, I highly recommend Eats near Ponce City Market. The new Braves stadium to a cool place to hangout and have a drink with friends. One of my favorite things about Atlanta is that you are really in the center of the South. NC,TN, AL, SC, and FL are all less than 4 hours away by car. Marta is decent I mainly use it to go to the airport from Doraville. Airport is very convenient and one can fly to most cities in the US. One last thing, if you can catch an Atlanta United soccer game in the beautiful Mercedes-Benz Stadium, that is the most awesome thing to witness in ATL.
Nice video as always, Mark! While I've been through the Atlanta airport a number of times I've never actually visited the city. This really makes me want to visit. Especially the food montage !
Yeah, we ate well. We too are through ATL a couple times a month but i had never actually got out and explored Atlanta for real and it really was a good trip. I would definitely go back.. especially for the food :)
As a native Atlantan, I approve this message. It is so incredibly accurate. I'm wondering how you got some of this information! 🤣😂 I've seen other videos from so called "natives" and they don't even get it right. Well done! Thank you for the don't on "hotlanta" it's the most cringe thing, we hate it. And a major tell that you're a tourist. Well done sir!
Thank you Emily. I appreciate it. We spent hours researching in the restaurants and bars and that helped :) i just wish i wouldn't have said beltway instead of beltline :) I guess the blood meant for my brain was helping my stomach digest all that good food.
Yeah, I can't wait for February to be a thing of the past. My favorite thing to do for exercise is to walk around Stone Mountain. However, it's so rainy in January and February.
Yup, lived there's during Snowpacalipse. The whole city was legit shut down. There were really two instances like that in the past several years. I found a place to hangout during both. The Vortex midtown location was actually open during one of those snow storms. It was actually a lot of fun walking around a carless Atlanta lol
It was bad enough with all the ice hiding out under the snow. I drove around very slowly on surface streets, aAvoiding the interstates was the best thing to do.
Atlanta native here. He didn’t mention all the stunning suburban towns north of downtown. Metropolitan Atlanta (aka Metro Atlanta) is a monster land mass. It encompasses the beautiful Suburbs of Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Smyrna, Vinings, Virginia Highlands, I can go on and on and on, about all our Burroughs, each one with its own sub cultures, nightlife districts, residential neighborhoods, corporate districts, and recreational spots. Metro Atlanta is a beast, downtown alone is nothing compared to all the expanding areas I mentioned.
Oh and, forgot to mention, drivers in Atlanta range from aggressive to down right stupid, on the flip side, if you master our highway system without wrecking, consider yourself a professional grade driver, as I do myself. 😎 9 lanes of highway on each side of the i85 / i75 connector, and I glide through lanes as smooth as silk. After 20 years of driving on these roads that is.
Hey I live in that area but personally wouldn’t recommend to tourists. U are right it’s great and I think it’s an incredible place to live in, but not really visit. Not a lot of big attractions n stuff
For younger folks who actually want to go out Edgewood, Little Five, Poncey Highlands, and East Atlanta have some great dives and venues to check out local bands and comedians. I would also recommend venturing north to Buford Highway to get a more culturally diverse food experience. Monday night Karaoke at the Local on Ponce is lit. West Midtown has a lot of super trendy hipster restaurants and bars.
I’m a native Atlantan and I love my city! I’ve traveled extensively but this is and will always be home for me. He’s100% on point! Especially about P’tree street. There are hundreds (if not thousands of roads that have some derivative of the name P’tree in them).
Welcome to Atlanta. Also, there are great things to do in the mountains which are a short drive. A fun trip is about an hour or so away; a wonderfully cheesy Bavarian style town, Helen GA. It's a great place for a day trip or overnight stay. Hiking and tubing on the river then walking the town drinking german beer and eating german food.
Atlanta is 3 hours from me and I love the city. In this part of the south, we do have some salt trucks. But we get one maybe 2 days of snow per year so there is just not any reason to have a fleet of snow trucks. We just stay indoors with our bread and milk.
Driving in Atlanta isn't bad, just stay away from those Yankees north of I-20. Stay on the south side (especially I-85 south of the connector) traffic is *barely* a thing. Simply put, if driving do your research and know where to drive and when (or rather not on both). Coming from 30 years of Metro ATL resident.
A quick note about the traffic. As a resident of South Carolina and frequent visitor to Atlanta to see friends etc. I must say about the traffic that no matter what happens Atlanta has some great hospitals. On a recent visit I had an accident on the interstate and was admitted to One of them as dead upon arrival. They were able to revive me and I am now better than ever. Sorry to anyone I may have inconvenienced by having the accident. LOL
The best bar in town is out in Decatur: The Brick House Pub. Its Belgian Ale heaven. Also the Carlos Museum in Emory University has an impressive collection of Greek and Egyptian artifacts
The Carlos definitely has Greek, Egyptian, and Roman antiquities. However, impressive, may be too strong of a word. The Carlos is much too small to be impressive. Worth a visit, nonetheless!
There’s the New York Minute and then there’s the Atlanta Mile. Being a mile from anywhere in ATL can be two minutes to an hour depending on traffic conditions.
As a native I'd check out Decatur, Ga as well. Its only 15 minutes east of Atlanta and they have some great eating places like Twains, Raging Burrito and more. Also easily accessible on MARTA
Southern roads arent flat, they are angled for rain to run off. Which means if it ever snows/ices over its actually impossible to drive you will just slide off the road lol.
That's pretty much standard road construction around the world. But Atlanta's climate makes freezing weather odd. The snow melts in the relatively warm roads. As temperatures drop, it freezes to ice. Once the tractor trailers cannot make it up the grades due to ice, everything shuts down. The 2014 event was so bad because the government insisted on keeping everything open and running--especially schools--until after the roads started freezing. Should've been closed at 6am that morning to avoid it, which is what they do now. BTW, today is the 6th anniversary of that event.
I've driven straight thru Atlanta on I-75 many times but hit it once during rush hour. Tbh I liked the bumper to bumper traffic, your not so afraid someone will run over you because everyone flies on that road. I quit taking the by pass many years ago when the city passed the law that trucks could only drive downtown if they were dropping off a delivery. Now the by pass is bumper to bumper with trucks.
LA Ryan only for the cheapskates. Get Delta club tickets, and they’ll give you a parking pass for the garage that’s literally 10’ from the entrance gate.
You can refer to Peachtree St as Peachtree. All others you must use Circle, Walk, etc. Also, FYI it’s the Beltline, not the Beltway. But iPeachtree is long and runs through downtown, midtown, and buckhead so you need to know what part.
Um he didn’t say the BELTLINE. That is the main attraction of the city, a must go for sure! Also Mary macs is nice but go for dessert. Head over the busy bees on Martin Luther king for authentic soul food 👌🏾
I LOVE ATLANTA!! Another tip of mines, DO take MARTA to Six Flags Over Georgia. Yes u gotta catch another bus from the subway but it drops you off at the park entrance and you don’t have to pay for parking. Every time I’m at that park i meet new friends or even help one another because the hospitality is so awesome.
As a true "A'lanna" native, this is spot on! And yes, 75 is a nightmare but how about 285?!? Yikes! Hey, have y'all ever consider doing a meet-ups when you're visiting somewhere? I'm sure you have a lot of fans that would like to meet you and buy you beer!
Michael Collins I have literally eaten an entire meal and changed my shirt while stuck in evening rush hour on 285 on a FRIDAY. It was a parking lot...
Got a temp job near sandy springs, but may be commuting from Snellville...is traffic that horrible at it seems on late afternoons throughout the weekdays?
If you are a Gone With the Wind fan, Margaret Mitchell's home is worth a visit. And yes to the driving. The traffic is so insane! My family got lost there at one point, and we wound up having to ask one of the locals walking down the street for help as we were driving. She then got into our car so she could literally point out to us where exactly to go and then got out of the car as soon as we found our destination. It was an interesting experience to say in the least, but let's just say I don't plan to do any more week-long road trips with many little stops along the way like my family loved to do. I remember getting so burnt out because we spent so much more time driving than really anything else.
Our last family trip to ATL we discovered the viewing deck at the Westin. I don’t recall the cost but it was cheaper than the Ferris wheel, while also being higher and more leisurely.
When I was a kid, sometimes my mom would take my sisters and I to the Sundial for lunch, 'cause at the time the prices weren't that bad for the occasional treat and it was fun to look over the city while we ate. Then just a few years later they jacked their prices up and really seemed to be looking down on people dressed casually even at lunch (mom was bringing my youngest sister's little girl scout troop, and she made sure they were well-behaved). Just looking now....their dinner menu prices are like "maybe if I'm taking a partner there to propose?" 'cause I'm not made of money 🤣
You mentioned a lot of important points! Especially 3 places to go to (Georgia Aquarium, Coca-Cola world, Centennial Olympic park all connected). Restaurants are amazin,g and Ponce City Market is also worth a visit if you want to bike around the Atlanta Belt line! Glad you and your family enjoyed my hometown thanks for the tips shared.
I was visiting my dad and we went out at night to get something to eat and I was scared and he said “one rule in Atlanta don’t look scared cuz if you do it makes you look jumpable.” So I’ve been having this idc face every time we went somewhere
You came to my home town! Awesome! Everything in this video is spot on. I followed WW advise when traveling to Europe and had the best time. Follow his advise when coming to Atlanta and you’ll love it.
For not living here this was an excellent representation. The only thing I would add is that when you visit anywhere, be respectful of our space. There are a lot of people who come here for events that just act completely reckless and make the commute of people trying to go to work much worse. I'm mostly talking to the people who live in the suburbs and get wasted on the train after a football game. Also, Sandy Springs is gorgeous. I've lived in Georgia my whole life and Atlanta for the past 6 years. I thought I would only like Midtown, but Sandy Springs is almost like the city meets the country. Look up Morgan Falls Stare Park.
I’ve done all of these things you mentioned in your video. I live just outside the city and I’m practically a native. One thing I suggest is check out Truist park at the battery. It is a family friendly place and is great for both sports and non sports fans however you need to visit when baseball is not in season or there is an away game because if you visit during a home game. The parking availability is low and the grass area for watch parties will be crowded.
My favorite city in the world. I'm from Boston. Atlanta is so nice and the people are kind. I love the Zoo and the Kudzu. I love the food! Nice weather too!
I-285 is so much worse, it encircles Atlanta with electronic speedlimit signs that go blank or say 35mph or directly contradict the other sign parallel to it
Totally agree! Dallad local here. And Downtown Dallas is business oriented. All outside of museums and sights there. Alot more restaurants in the east, West & some in uptown and more unique spots more north, if you can drive or willing to pay for uber/lyft. Dallas is very spread out as well. I dont live far from downtown and deep ellum. And find myself getting in my car often.
Chicago is the best! But I do like that Buckhead and downtown are separated, it’s like two separated towns. But I hate everything so far in ATL. A 5 mile drive is like 25 minutes when a 5 mile drive is like 8 minutes here in Chicago
This was a wonderful overview of Atlanta. In my videos about Atlanta, I only really talked about living here. Thanks for mentioning some tourist attractions. I've been here for years and haven't visited a lot of the places you mentioned yet.
A few tips: We pronounce the "t" in Marta as a "d" and the second "t" in Atlanta is almost silent. We have "loose consonants". Dekalb sounds like "de-cab". You can walk/ride the entire beltway. If you are going to be traveling throughout the entirety of Georgia, stay in an Air BB in gwinnett. Its a 30 min - 1 hr drive to basically almost everything you need. Also, rent a car. There's more than one way to get everywhere, but go early and leave late!
I was born in cabbage town Georgia lol AKA Atlanta don't forget to visit Oakland cemetery and there are some great restaurants right across the street try six feet under lol.
I can't believe people think Atlanta traffic is the worst....have you survived the traffic in Norfolk, Virginia or New York City or anywhere I-95 North?
Thanks for the wonderful compliments, Mark. You missed out on some nature activities, but maybe you'll see them on your next trip. Note: 1. MARTA is great especially right in the heart of downtown. You can go from Peachtree Center to Buckhead fast for $2.50. People who speak negatively about it most likely live in the suburbs. 2. Anyone who thinks Atlanta driving is bad should try New York City or even worse, Miami. You will appreciate Atlanta driving so much more. Most of the bad drivers in Atlanta are from another state (NY, CA, FL, etc.).
Go to East Atlanta. It is what Little Five Points used to be. It's only about a mile and a half south of L5P. Has all the good live music, good restaurants, bars, and a more local vibe.
Dont Miss Stone Mountain.. Dont miss The New Cobb Enegery baseball field.. Dont Miss the 1996 Olympic sights.. Dont Miss driving on the 11 Lanes Wide Freeway! Don't Miss the World's Biggest Aquarium.. And Don't Miss The Food... Other, Honorable Mentions.. Six Flags of Georgia... The Jimmy Carter Presidential library.. Underground, Atlanta, The Votrex, Little Five Points, Buckhead and more
I’m an Atlanta native my family has been here for generations and I must say in the last 5 to 10 years my wonderful city has changed drastically for the worst. People have started to come here in larger amounts than ever and wherein when people would move to Georgia they would live in the suburbs now they are coming to the city. I just wonder what’s bringing all these people here in record amounts. It’s like the California gold rush but this time it’s Georgia and people are looking for fame. Traffic used to be predictable and avoidable but now it’s always traffic and there is just so many people here. We used to have amazing southern hospitality. A person wouldn’t pass another person with out speaking, most people were kind, respectful and helpful but now there is so much rudeness, disrespect, bashing, etc. Yes we used to have crime but it wasn’t a lot and only happened in certain neighborhoods. Now the crime rate is up so much that if the numbers weren’t shared I wouldn’t believe it. Things happen so often and it happens any and everywhere. It’s really scary and when I hear people that’s planning to move here say they want to live in s good safe neighborhood my first thought/response is that there’s no such thing here anymore. This stuff happens anywhere and in every neighborhood and it’s ridiculous. The driving as I’ve said southern hospitality was very real here in Atlanta ga before so many people started coming here from everywhere and it includes driving. There weren’t many accidents most drivers would follow the rules or laws and just be fair. That’s no longer the case our annual roadway fatalities have jump up 300% , you can’t leave home and go anywhere without seeing or hearing about a car accident. I’m so tired of hearing people say those Atlanta people are some crazy drivers. Y’all have it wrong it’s all these people that keep coming here and aren’t from here that are the crazy drivers. The next thing is our Atlanta history and housing availability. So we have so much history here in Atlanta but due to the extreme influx of people coming here now our history mostly gets torn down and erased to make more room to build these luxury and really expensive condos. Any little empty space now gets condos thrown up quickly. Also if a family wanted to move there used to be plenty of choices now everything is mostly full and have waiting lists. Affordable housing and low income housing is disappearing and the city is focusing only on housing for the rich driving so many natives out of the only homes they’ve ever known. It’s so scary and I just wonder where are us non rich atl natives supposed to go. As for renters they have made it so hard to qualify and get a rental home. Example one new restriction is that your income has to be three times the rent price which won’t be the case for a lot of people. We’ve always had homeless people here but never this many ( believe me it started before covid) and it shouldn’t be this way. I’m almost sure at least half the people that’s homeless in Atlanta now it’s because they don’t meet the strict requirements in place now to get a home. Resources like food, bill and financial assistance etc people used to be able to get help but now these organizations are always out of funds, have waiting lists or you can’t get through to anyone due to high call volumes. One more problem I see is there not being enough supply for this amount of people. At doctors offices you used to be able to get same or next day appointments now with some doctors you have to wait months. For people with several chronic illnesses like myself that’s a real problem that causes unnecessary worry and can even be life threatening. I’ve noticed that so many schools have to have several trailers in order for there to be enough classrooms. The stores and restaurants can’t keep items/products in stock it’s just not enough for everyone ( example restaurants rarely ever used to run out of things like say ketchup or straws but it has now become the norm). It’s a really bad and believe it or not dangerous situation here in Atlanta Georgia due to the extreme influx of people moving here. This many people in one city is just a disaster waiting to happen.
One of the best videos I've seen. The only thing I can say is it's more than 2 years old, many things have changed, so be sure to plan ahead on your itinerary. Hours or other details may have changed.
We don't usually have but it's a thrill when it snows. The pollen is from trees which is everywhere in ATL. So, yes, get your allergy kit if you come around April. It's a decent city and very welcoming in regards to culture and food. Wish you a happy stay here
Atlanta local here: all of these are spot on. You missed out on mentioning Piedmont Park, Oakland Cemetery, Margaret Mitchell House, Cyclorama, Six Flags, White Water, Sweetwater Brewery, Underground Atlanta, the Gold Dome, and all our great concert venues! It is ok to say “ATL”.
As someone who was a teenager when I lived in Gwinnett County, I believe I became a great driver faster because I was immediately thrown into the Atlanta metro traffic. Had to learn how to handle some of the completely insane things that only happen there, like traffic suddenly stopping to grab money that flew out of the back of an armored truck.
Pro tip: skip the Varsity. It’s a tourist icon sure but really mediocre for the price. They market themselves as where Georgia Tech students go after football games and stuff like that but nobody local eats there. Also MARTA typically sucks but it’s great for getting to the airport or getting from Midtown to Buckhead, especially at rush hours.

Train in Atlanta? Different from MARTA?
@@JPMJPM No different. MARTA/train same thing.
Michael Baron Oh! I thought MARTA = city bus system.
@@JPMJPM it's technically both the bus and the rail.
Michael Baron Where are the places that the trains begin (other than at the airport)? I’d love to leave my car at the edge of town and hop on a train.
As someone who lives in Atlanta I think this video was great! Definitely agree with everything in it. I’d also add a couple things I haven’t seen other people mention:
1) the beltline was briefly touched on in this video but it’s absolutely one of the must do things if you’re visiting atlanta and have some time. If you walk down it there are great views of the city and great bars and restaurants to stop at. Usually events too
2) Piedmont park/botanical garden - also great views of the city, always events going on, and generally pretty.
Very cool. I am glad the video can help some tourists when they visit. I really liked atlanta
Don’t get lost in Fulton industrial at night. Don’t pay for parking unless it is with a machine
HOLY COW! My husband and I are visiting Atlanta (just for a day or two) in 3 weeks and I was looking for some suggestions. Then this notification popped up! Always check your channel before traveling! THIS IS PERFECT TIMING!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
I am glad we could get it out right in time. Have fun! and eat well!
Taqueria Del Sol if y’all are into tacos and margaritas. Jenny’s ice cream is right next door for a sweet treat. Atlantic Station is very nice if you’re into shopping/fine dining. Krog Street Market and Ponce City Market if you’re into local hipster districts.
Stay away from greyhound stations and don't linger outside of MARTA stations
Stacy Hoffman Go to Decatur... you would love it
Atlanta is an interesting city but in my opinion not very walkable. Definitely Uber everywhere if you don’t want to drive.

Best comment I’ve read on Atlanta 👌
Go to Havana Sandwhich Shop in Atlanta on Buford Highway!!! Greatest cuban sandwich in the world, it's so great.
Two recommendations:
a) The amazing variety of authentic ethnic restaurants, mostly Asian, along the Buford Highway.
b) The Carlos Museum at Emory.
Worst allergy city in the country if you suffer from allergies please bring medicine
True story. I live south of atl and die during spring/fall
Even if you think you don't have allergies...you might in Atlanta.
This is because we are such a green city. An old nickname is "The City in a Forest"
Lol, it's def the "City of Trees"
An inch of pollen on my car, UNDER THE CARPORT!

Laura Ward no room for racism here. Get out.
Wife tagged along?
You gotta do better than that. Dogs tag along bro!
So did I but in 2006 when I was 10.
@Joey The blind Panther Agreed on Florida drivers being insanely terrible at driving
I don't think you want to "Go on the Beltway" 8:28 - you'll get flattened by the cars on I-285. But the belt LINE is a great place to go spend time!
@@woltersworld It's all good! I knew what you meant!

As an southerner living in Chicago for the past 20 years, I sure do miss wearing shorts in March.
Yep
A lot safer
You best believe that Kroger asked me to come in for $7.25. I slid like a mile from my house, which took 45 minutes and then I called out.
It was bad enough with all the ice hiding out under the snow. I drove around very slowly on surface streets, aAvoiding the interstates was the best thing to do.
The interstates looked like a scene from The Walking Dead
I love Buckhead and Midtown. I have family at 1010. Such a beautiful area. When night falls, the lights light up the area. Love it.
"YANKEES," HUH ? Y' ALL STILL CAN'T GET OVER " THE 13TH AND 14TH AMENDMENTS TO THE " YANKEES' CONSTITUTION."

Another don't (as a joke): do not say "28-3" to a local. Some are still pretty sore about that event.

As a native I'd check out Decatur, Ga as well. Its only 15 minutes east of Atlanta and they have some great eating places like Twains, Raging Burrito and more.
Also easily accessible on MARTA
definitely agree
A wise man once said “Atlanta where all your dreams can come true at Magic City or you could get shot at a stoplight”
Atlanta: Come on vacation, leave on probation
If you want to attend a Braves game, leave the night before like it’s a Dead concert. The traffic is that bad.
LA Ryan only for the cheapskates. Get Delta club tickets, and they’ll give you a parking pass for the garage that’s literally 10’ from the entrance gate.
I live about 5 mins away from suntrust and even from that distance traffic sucks
At the end I talk about it in the food part. But I messed up when I said it.

Good tip on six flags. Thanks
Great video! I just moved to Atlanta and your tips are great, even for new residents!
You can also visit the mountains and waterfalls which are north of Atlanta.
You have to love Spaghetti Junction at 5:00 in the afternoon. LOL!!!
😱😱😱 🤣
I remember getting so burnt out because we spent so much more time driving than really anything else.
i love how you point out the positives of atlanta. most people diss it but this video of atlanta is my fav
Our last family trip to ATL we discovered the viewing deck at the Westin. I don’t recall the cost but it was cheaper than the Ferris wheel, while also being higher and more leisurely.
I forgot about that!!!! Thank you for the reminder!
I live in a suburb of Atlanta and you did a great job! Spot on.
I live in Atlanta and you just get used to the traffic lol. Makes traveling to other cities easy once ur used to it😂
You mentioned a lot of important points!
Buckhead native and my car has been broken into numerous times
Born & raised here, & I definitely stand by all of this. Good job!
I'm from Savannah and every time I visit Atlanta, I get hella scared driving through it 😁 like it's my first time driving or something
My favorite city in the world. I'm from Boston. Atlanta is so nice and the people are kind. I love the Zoo and the Kudzu. I love the food! Nice weather too!
Every bad experience I've had in Atlanta involved I-75. Or trying to avoid I-75.
I-285 is so much worse, it encircles Atlanta with electronic speedlimit signs that go blank or say 35mph or directly contradict the other sign parallel to it

Heading out to Atlanta tomorrow. Thanks for the advice. Looking forward to a fun time.
Our downtown is pretty wack compared to other cities I’ve been to. I think Chicago is still number 1 in downtowns I’ve been to.
rontavius snipes as someone who has lived in both Atlanta and Chicago--I totally agree
rontavius snipes Went to Chicago to see family for Christmas last year. Downtown is LEGIT.
Downtown Chicago is the only reason why I look for to run the Chicago Marathon
Chicago is the best! But I do like that Buckhead and downtown are separated, it’s like two separated towns. But I hate everything so far in ATL. A 5 mile drive is like 25 minutes when a 5 mile drive is like 8 minutes here in Chicago
This was a wonderful overview of Atlanta. In my videos about Atlanta, I only really talked about living here. Thanks for mentioning some tourist attractions. I've been here for years and haven't visited a lot of the places you mentioned yet.
Don't forget to go to the theaters in town! Highly recommend the Atlanta Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse!!!!

Agree. We have had some great Uber drivers in Atlanta
Here in metro Atl I’ve never seen anyone care if you buy a pepsi. Most restaurants only carry one or the other after all.

You cannot park in E.Atlanta at anytime.

ATL is one of our favorite places to fly through. If we can't route direct, we try to hit Atlanta and take the train in the city to get food.
Same here
I love Atlanta! It's like a second home.
One of the best videos I've seen. The only thing I can say is it's more than 2 years old, many things have changed, so be sure to plan ahead on your itinerary. Hours or other details may have changed.

I was there when it happened, didn't steal one bill
Can't forget Virginia Highlands! Dark Horse Tavern, Blind Willies, Soooo many great places!
My heart screamed everytime he said MARTA. it hurt, so much
Mar Tuh
Thank you very much. My family will be visiting Atlanta Jan. 2023
Drake Witt Yup! Varsity is overrated...
We need to deport you.
I have to differ Mr. Witt. The Varsity has the world's absolute best Swiss cheese on rye - I promise.
What are you talking about. Atlanta native and I love the Varsity
Stay out the westside and Southside, check out EAV, varsity is trash, check out jeju spa, and definitely check out Buford highway for the asian food
I live here and I concur with this comment.
I really like you, do you see yourself more as a Tourism channel or either a culture channel , or both
Thank you Dominik. I like to think we are both to be honest.
you do rock bro, I wish the grateful dead was around still then you could do a do's and dont's of the parking lot. (shakedown street, bro) u rock, peace to u and your family, from phill from Lubbock Texas, now in la grange Georgia!
