They filmed in a Bicycle shop. And they made 'Stoned and Starving'. I'm 61 years old, love my rock and this tagged me from a jukebox halfway across a crowded pub in North Wales. Brilliant stuff.
Absolutely amazing isn't it, every time I listen to the transition between master of my craft to borrowed time it always blows my mind. Absolutely iconic.

Holy fuck I love this band. They're young enough to be my kids and they do the most damn exciting live show I've seen since forever. Haven't danced so hard in a mosh pit in decades.
This concert turned me into a PC fan. It's only after a couple of views that I realized how great the shooting and mixing is here. KEXP sets a new standard for live recordings.
Introduced my 64yr old, music journalist father to parquet courts when total football dropped (2018). Having been totally fresh to them myself I was eager to return the favour of many recommendations. Till this day, he still swears they are the best band of all time. No exaggeration, time extrapolated in, I tend to agree. This set, plus their most recent material; barring A.Savages impeccable solo stuff, it's impossible to disagree. He knows his onions, he taught me, we share now what are the greatest rock and roll (punk) band of all time (time extrapolated also), it’s hard to argue, find me a better modern day punk band and I will literally argue you to the death. PC for life.

@@slayerattack3751 for sure. I have a tele squire and I used to have a Stratocaster before I sold it at a low point in life:( Sure you can tell the difference when playing each one but you can make the same great music with either, as proved by parquet courts here.
@@hippiecheezburger5457 They're a lot smarter than the Strokes, the only thing they have in common is garage-rock and even then they still sound different
Sand In My Joints by Wire is pretty much Parquet Courts decades before they came onto the scene, there's definitely bits in that song that sound similar to what they can come up with - that being said though I love PC so that's not a bad thing :)
As the years have gone by I’ve just realized how good Parquet Courts really are I mean even when they first started, they have some real rock and roll stuff in them
Honestly, all the transitions are fantastic; it’s just that the Master of my Craft to Borrowed Time is supremely sublime. Like you are breathing in one song and breathing out the next.
Uplifting. Been listening to PC on Spotify for a couple of years and found a few minutes to fire up RUclips on my big TV with the beefy sound bar... Amazing sound & presence of this band. Great location & production. It really feels like you're there... wish I had been and wish I could play guitar too ;)
Spoon-length songs, but even shorter. The shorter the better. My favorite band now after about fifty listenings. Seeing them in Buffalo in June. Haven't looked forward to a concert this much since I saw the Ramones.
Lead singer looks like a stupidly young Thurston Moore, and that's before hearing the playing. This is like the band I've been waiting for, for years. It's like picking up where Television left off, and I for one wlecome it. There will always be something timeless about trashing a guitar around the place, howling songs about streets, slackers, skinny knees and chubby girlfriends :D
Banging... Seen them play as support a couple months ago in London ( the 2 solo gigs had sold out ), I felt like the only person in the gig who knew their songs. Great stuff , yes like everything else today , they are derivative , but are a couple steps sideways from their influences and I'm really digging it. That said the first track (unreleased) reminds me of Blur circa 1990 way too much.
Lovin the Sonic Youth style chaotic guitars/feedback. These guys are bringin back the real bash-the-fuck-out-of-everything sound…Along with bands like The Oh Sees and Wavves, among others
That's exactly what I've been marvelling at!!! As soon as I'm done listening, I'm calling my old high school buddies to tell them, "Fuck it, guys. Let's do this. Cheap and hard!"
Can’t believe this came out 10 years ago. Incredible energy. Still the best live video I’ve ever seen. I think about it on a weekly basis.
Agree. Wish I had of been there.
This video lives rent free in my head
Me too.
We still here!!! ❤
That tight-as-fuck-transition from Master Of My Craft to Borrowed Time. Well done lads.
exactly! also the one at 9:08

Rob Crossland Yeah, Bob. Don't forget to crank Sleaford Mods!
Here in South Wales at 17 rocking along to these bangers myself too!!
Here in Cardiff doing the same!
... AND here at a motorcycle repair shop in Los Angeles and
same, cheers!
where in north wales? its usually a musical wasteland!!!

This is one of the best live performances I’ve ever seen. Starting with “she’s rolling” was an excellent decision

This has so much essence of what rock and roll is right, like I just wanna blast this so loud

Absolutely clean and so punk at the same time. Clean stratocaster, telecaster and mustang bass for a true punk music.
The instant transition from Master My Craft to Borrowed Time is brilliant on the album and live. I suggest everyone hear it.
even though i love most of every parquet courts' album, i really think this is one of the best Parquet ciurts live
Props to the 2 guitarists rocking cheapo squier Guitar’s!
yeah it’s a total myth that expensive equipment is needed to make good music, squiers are legit

@@lukastaylor9544 Affinty Tele for A., Squier Bullet from the 1980s for Austin (which have gone up in price, probably bc of this video)
All their songs are so unique. No other band sounds like them.
They’re like the strokes somewhat like a real simplistic garage rock sound butttt with smart lyrics and viewpoints

The perfect drummer. Just keeps a low profile but is always in the pocket.
he is on a separate plane than the other three guys.
I don't even really know what that means, but yeah, i totally agree.
It amazing that he can fit his kit in it.
He makes it all work. Without him, they would just be clever.
His tone is just fantastic too
I really like the mixing on this, you can hear at any point any individual instrument but they blend perfectly at the same time.
in love with this band
💖💖💖💖💖
They definitely remind me of the band Television. love these guys
And this is why they had one of the best albums of the year....

Saw these guys in LA this summer and it was the best show I've been to this year!
this was the performance video that truly enveloped me into this band and every song they wrote from this point onwards
Such an incredible performance. Love their transitions. Fan!
their tones are awesome
times like this, i thank god for youtube!
Just discovered these guys, they are unbelievable
The feedback and dueling guitars is flat out top shelf !!
Honestly, all the transitions are fantastic; it’s just that the Master of my Craft to Borrowed Time is supremely sublime. Like you are breathing in one song and breathing out the next.
Slays me how good these guys are.
Love the awesome guitar jam at the end!!!
Saw em last night in Davis CA and it was a damn good show. One of the best indie rock bands out right now!
This band is taking my soul!
"I work as a bike delivery boy back in NYC..." The hard truth of being in an indie rock band nowadays.

Good shit. Haven't heard anyone do this in quite a long time.
This band is giving me flashbacks of 1980, nice!!
Saw these guys in Boston. They were AWESOME.
This reminds me of Eddy Current Suppression Ring :)
It is good that you know who Eddy Current is. One of the greatest bands ever to come out of Australia.
I remember reading about this band, though I could not remember its name. Luckily, I am subscribed to KEXP, the best thing ever.
Not sure if the crowd is clapping during borrowed time after each stop because it's cool as fuck or if they just don't know the sing.

unbelievable !
Damn! Savage is playing a Squier Affinity Tele, that's cool!
Great job RUclips, at putting an ad right in the middle of a song.
there isn't anything more annoying than that, I say put it at the end of the song and make us watch the ad, I would sooner put up with that.
This is really well shot. I mean like really good. I feel like I'm there and something more.

Oh fuck yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. first time ive heard these fellows. Now I need more..............
so many comments from people who have clearly only listened to the first song and base their opinions on that solely.
Truman Lee me either, i find it pretty annoying
Liked them so much at Pukkelpop. Looking forward to seeing them in AB in October.
The crowd cheering during the pause in borrowed time lmao
