i dont mean to be so off topic but does any of you know a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my password. I would love any tips you can give me!
@Marley Elian I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I've literally searved "DCS F-14" and just keep hitting refresh until a new video comes out. Last night it took my 2 hours to get to sleep because I was so amped about this module. I've already scheduled 2 days off work to fly and train with squad buddies.
Stop overhyping it - it is as dangerous for the product as bad reviews. Because of overhype every minor bug grows to a big dissapointment by community. I know, not you, not me, but general community reaction. This is already being a well-known phenomenon in industry. So, Shhh, over-hype filter on...
Great video, seems pretty straightforward to get her up in the air fairly easily. After watching a few vids now I've succumbed and pre-ordered and I just can't wait to give her a spin. Hopefully Jester will help me prevent my brain from melting in having to learn the Tomcat as well as the other pfm aircraft I have!
I am just getting into DCS...i have the f15C...and P-51D....i can start up tack off and sort of land...sort of...but am still no where near the lvl where i can fly competently....how ever the F-14 is on my wish list and is my ultimate goal...it will be my reward for learning to fly the F-15 with and degree of competency!!!
Kinda wondering that this goes without that hydraulics switch just right of the seat, thought that was mandatory. That acceleration and climb though. Take a Hornet from 500kts and pull up 20°, go AB and watch it decelerate still - feels like a fully laden Airbus. The Tomcat just comes by at 55-60° climb angle, literally asking you "hold my beer" :)
Thanks! the ingame tutorial as of usual for DCS has borked scripts... and kept showing stuff that was long not relevant to the startup... got bored with BS came to Jabbers and got what I wanted! What a bird to fly! Thanks for the great video!
@@kwilliams3161 Not having a huge team means you can charge less. But seriously everything ED has marked for DCS was marked up 25% for no reason a while back and set 80 as their price point it's not Heatblur that determine it

Thank you very much for the video. It was very educational. You decided to reset the pressure to 0 at the altimeter. And when I played with the air cooling buttons, I forgot to set the button in the avionics cooling position)))
Dat climbrate :D. You were in a clean configuration, right? Can you give us any info about how much slower does it climb with a full loadout; supposedly the tunnel between the engines reduced the drag on stores quite a bit?
Awesome guide! So helpful. One question. What if I don’t have nose wheel steering bound to a pinky switch. Nor do I have a pinky switch. I am so close to flying and so far away hah!
You mentioned takeoff with either Mil or Full power..the training vid says never to use Full during a land takeoff...something about speed restrictions and a possible thrust imbalance I believe.
yes, and this is a no checklist tutorial. Typically, new modules i throw out a startup/taxi/takeoff that does not follow the rules :) See my harrier startup, its 10x worse than this one hah

Jabber...actually the best start up for beginners I have seen yet. Thanks for this. It will help me onece I get everything setup. I have to ask, why do you have a "gaming' rig and a "streaming" rig??
I use to stream, but not so much anymore. But offloading the recording processing to a second PC ensures no lag or shared CPU time with the game I'm playing

Hey Jabbers, as someone who's interested in getting into DCS, would you recommend the F-14 Tomcat? It's one of my favorite planes! Also, how's it like?

Jester sounded so sad and defeated when you told him Goose was better.
Poor guy. He can fly with me anytime.
7:46 if anyone wanted to know
Jester isn’t even a RIO, he’s an instructor pilot.
He can crash in the ground after wanting to do a loop anytime!
Clearly you didn't play DCS.
If you did then Jester would be the last thing you want as an RIO
"First we're gonna turn on our oxygen" And finally I realize why I started blacking out all the time *facepalm*
Me too.... Sigh
I've never had to mess with it. I turn it off then back on to make me feel special. 😂

Perfect just what I was after many thanks jabbers... subscribed 👍

Nice & easy 👍🏻
Great vid saved for flight day!
Are you planning on doing a HOTAS mapping tutorial to help get set up quicker next week just with some essentials?
As I recall it will come with a binding if you have the Thrustmaster Warthog.
Iv got the x56
spudnocker did a video specifically with an x56 if you havent seen it yet, the bindings seem pretty solid, its what im going to use
In the f14 manual on the heatblur website there are throttle and stick lay-out graphs. This will get you started
Very cool, thanks for showing the startup procedure.
Dam exactly what i need !!! Really well nice and calm tutorial. And a short way to turn on this peace of legend !!!. Jabbers love you
''C'mon bro, Goose was better!''

Jester: i know man I hear it all the time...(sobs in background).... gracefully ejects...
Excellent video..loved the simplicity!!!A++++
Jabbers you a badass bro. Miss you 😘
4:50 Seems like Jester is hitting the "clear" button....😂
He still has to wear it's paint off :D
Jester's place is in the back seat.
How dare you had this video ready for 2 weeks and let it go just today!

Yup realized that after making this but was to late 😩
Thnx so much for this tutorial Jabbers :) Giganticus helpful . You are awsome :)
ok i am gonna watch this video everyday until I can but the F-14
is there a pre aligned special option yet Jabbers?
Covered in the next video

Oops to bad RUclips removed annotations
Weird... the little checkbox to turn them on is still there in the settings...... Thought they were still a thing.....
How did you zero out the trim? Is there a button?
i jsut bought the gazelle yesterday, just to tide me over to this.

what are the moving dots on lower screen :)
theyre just arrows to help you distinguish the ground from the sky in the screen
Can I ask what sort of frames were you getting with that rig and VR? Settings on max as it looks ace?

bind the camera to an axis, i use the stick on my Logitech G13
