I hope you can answer this pretty quick. Your comment was about a year ago. Are you still using it? How did it hold up? Did the open/close knob start to break? How often in a day would you open/close it? I'd like to use it for my Gatorade. I make my own red Gatorade using the Gatorade powder, and I pour it into one of those large Gatorade containers( I already know it WILL fit in this fridge. ) Remember, you can be completely honest about your answers, because it's not like you made the product or made the good or bad decision to purchase it. Please let me know, because I would like to have this in my bedroom for my Gatorade bottle. Thank you! 😊
What I have noticed after a few days use that it's better to take already cold drinks out of a regular fridge to put in this. I noticed it will keep cans already cold from a regular fridge just as cold as first put in even after 24 hours. I suppose it's of course due to no heat getting in and the cold being trapped inside the small space of course. I noticed it doesn't really get as cold with room temperature drinks going straight into the mini fridge. I have left them in there for over 24 hours and it's a slightly cold touch on cans. It's definitely less cold then using cans already cold from a regular fridge. For me it seems best to keep drinks in the regular fridge downstairs and move them up to this mini fridge as needed. Basically a 12 pack of coke means six in mini fridge while other six in regular fridge until mini fridge needs restocked. I'll probably be using it for energy drinks mostly though but same thing so yeah I think it will work. The only complaint is the buzzing sound from the fan. I can handle the blowing noise but the slight buzz is annoying.
I normally keep my house at 68 degrees and, what do you know, the mini fridge stays consistently at 40 the few times ive checked. I would like just a tad cooler but am happy with what I get. Not exactly icy cold but cold enough. I certainly dont want to risk cans freezing/exploding either. I got the mint colored one and am quite happy with my purchase.
I have one for my office. It’s a bit small to hold my lunch and water bottles. I wish it were bigger but overall I’m happy with it. It’s useful and didn’t cost all that much.
Just curious, how did you get 34-38 degrees as an estimate when it cools 20-28 below ambient? Most optimistic estimate (using max differential and minimum ambient temp you stated) is 70-28 = 42.
Exactly 32 is freezing The Sweet spot for refrigerators is 40 or less ^^ So like any other time of year except scorching summer if you keep that little thing in an unheated room in your house it will work fine as a normal fridge it might accidentally freeze things XD
Does this stay plug into the outlet the entire time like a real size refrigerator? Or do I plug it in when I need it? Or do it leave plus in always but flip the switch on the back to on when I need it? If I flip the switch to on after it was off would it take hours to reach its full capacity?
This was pretty helpful, I’m about to have my first baby and I was thinking of having one of these by my bed to store breast milk overnight but I guess that wouldn’t be a good idea. Maybe there are others that are more powerful but they all look similar.
Only a few monster drinks at 16oz would fit standing up. Better than a bucket of ice! You would have to have the vehicle running or it could kill the car battery!
@@KingHarlequin1999 it has a compressor it's nothing like a real fridge though, it runs 24 hrs a day never kicks off, a tiny amount of heat comes out the back. The more stuff you put in it the colder it gets
@@kyledupont7711 It is 100% thermoelectric/peltier based. If it was compressor based, it would had a refrigerant written on the label. I also tore down one of these, and it didn't have any compressor, but instead a peltier module with large heatsink and computer for the hot side, and an solid aluminum block on the cold side, attached to the inner wall of the fridge; and styrofoam insulator.
I work at a small library in a university which actually gets really cold sometimes. We don't have a microwave or a frigde in the lunch area so I been looking at a small frigde for myself in my library, with the cold temperature in the library will this get cold enough to keep my drinks cold all day? Could it end up freezing? Can I leave it turn on always?
Q U E S T I O N -- Are the Mini Fridges WITHOUT the Warmer bonus better coolants - because the Warmer may very well adversely affect the FULLY COOLING when the setting is on "Cold"? My Coca Cola cooler-only fridge is still working satisfactorily while the Frigidaire with the extra Warmer stopped cooling in a week or two. Thanks.
Hi! Thanks for your review. Is it a difference between the cooler and the cooler+refrigerator? Options are given in your Amazon link and I was wondering if there is a technical difference or if it is just color 🥹
I think your math sucks. You said your house is usually 70°-74°. The unit will cool 20°-28° cooler than the ambient temperature. Then you said it should be between 34°-38° inside the cooler. Damn dude, that's colder than my full size fridge in my kitchen!!!! Let's say your house is 70° and the little fridge cooled the ambient temp by 28°. That is only 42° in a best of situation. Real world you're probably looking at 50°-54°.
Ah, the Peltier-Seebeck thermoelectric device. Ultra inefficient and used to spread Moscow's propaganda in the early days of the Soviet Union. Nice but a mini fridge is more efficient. It may use more power when running but it doesn't have to run anywhere near as long. Thermoelectric units are really only good for Kickstarter scams.
true, they break down quickly. Peltier beats compressors for convenience and light weight in small cooling spaces, though. My Wagan has lasted a year so far but the equipment is on top, so water does get in. I don't care since I just keep capped drinks in it. Paper towels in the bottom.
Just got this for Christmas. Mine is red and I love it. 😊

Thank you so much for this helpful review. I had some Best buy reward dollars and I just ordered this in retro pink to keep by the side of my bed.

Try squirting some WD40 into the fan bearings.

Funny, I just had my son on Friday morning, and I'm sitting here in the couch with him and Just a Dad pops up on my phone. RUclips is following me!
Wow
Congrats
My dad left me
I have one of these and mine is black and was gifted this today for Christmas actually kinda nice
Good for keeping condiments at my desk at work.
got a black one for my birthday love this review
Thank you sir, the instructions wouldn’t tell me how long I needed to wait to put stuff in
Glad it helped
I got one for Christmas it's working good so far. I have the 9 can model
Grabbed one for a small add on gift for my son’s birthday. Seems like a good value,
if you want it cooler u can get some ice cubes and put some salt on it and put it on the rack, it might help with cooling it!

This. I almost had an aneurysm with that math.
Math ain't mathing.
Just got mines😊❤️
I'd say 40s is pretty normal for any refrigerator. Any colder and your fridge will turn into a freezer.

Not normal. Most refrigerant fridges will easily get to 35, which is much better.
@gcanyon3114 Well, regardless, 40 is certainly cold, and while not great, we it works.
I just bought one
I love mine
Is it noisy?

Good point
stupid question, can I put yogurt or protein shakes in there?
no way. just for drinks.
Is the fan supposed to constantly run? I just got mine. I keep it in my office and the fan gets annoying.
It's the compressor and yes it's not like a normal fridge that has to kick on and off, it has a weak compressor that runs the entire time
@@kyledupont7711 This thing doesn't even have a compressor.
It is just a glorified peltier device.

I want to use it for keeping cheese cool
Same.
buy this to accommodate with your fallout themed room
could I possibly use this at school to keep my lunch cool? will it keep my food fresh?
No not really
I was wondering the same thing! I'm vegetarian so I don't eat meat and I was thinking if it gets to 40 degrees, why not keep my veggie lunch box cold?
Mine started blinking a green light and beeping. No longer cooling at all. :(
It's the capacitor
Thank you!! How long it keep the cool when you disconnect it?
Not long enough...
They have to stay plugged in and turned on at all times to stay cold , as soon as it is off it warms up quickly.
Where can I buy an extra power Core AC
mine did not come with any cords
I have a blue one it’s made by koolatron
Mine is cooling 3 degrees under room temp after 4 hours. Not thrilled.
yeah mine isn't really cooling down much either. i think we were scammed. :(

There is a on and off switch the light should turn on a solid green
