Still hanging for a video with the 2016 game against gws and WCE where nic naitanui scored a goal with one second left to win the game by a point. Still remember that game my old man and I lost our marbles when it happened 😂
Another great one I remember clearly is Gold Coast vs st Kilda. Gold Coast were 26 points up at 3QT and Gresham kicked a goal with one minute left to win us the game by 4. Suns went scoreless that 4th quarter.
The two big comebacks most iconic I've seen since first watching AFL in 1990 as a kid and until this point in time 2024, were Essendon vs North Melbourne 2001 and Geelong vs West Coast 2006. North Melbourne in the lead 91-22 didn't play poorly and kicked 10.8.68 for the remainder of the game but it was Essendon who scored 149 points in just over a half of football to win 171-159. 2006 saw at Skilled stadium as it was formally known, have Geelong burst out of the blocks and with nothing going right for the Eagles including Adam Hunter cut his head badly on the old-school concrete bench, continued as with 8 minutes remaining in the 3rd QTR had Geelong 86 to West Coast 32. But literally the storm clouds parted and in the dying minutes West Coast hit the lead 94-92 and a goal a piece ending West Coast 101 & Geelong 98. Two things came from those games one North Melbourne has the highest losing score and the Eagles ended Geelong's finals hopes, after Rd 10 ( being pre season predicted flag favourites)
Probably that final game in the old days it was a prelim crows vs dogs and the dogs where killing them but doggies lost by 2 for the crows to win the following premiership but even so it’s the biggest choke I’ve personally ever seen
I remember a Geelong Vs Eagles game, I believe it was 2006, Cats were smashing WC by 60 odd points and WC came back and won, as a young fella that game made me cry haha so did this game! As a fellow Cats fan don't know how Huddo announced this game and gave the call with that much enthusiasm haha I was shattered
54 points midway through the 3rd quarter and in Geelong, probably the craziest comeback I can remember watching live. Then the very next week they came back from 44 down against Carlton to win.
add hawks v collingwood on april 7th. hawks went from being like 40 points behind the pies, to finishing just 5 points less as much as they didn't win, we put up an insane fight 🤎💛
Kick straight win games is all I learned here
Pretty much lol even this year the lions kicked 1 goal 7 in the third when the blues came back. Can't stop a comeback if you keep missing
Very recent Carlton v Brisbane in opening round. 46 point comeback to win by a point
Agreed
@jedklau shutup
1970 grand final
When your do this video u cant go past north vs essendon elimination final i cant remember the year tho

@@Kaleen_YTthe game he’s referring to was recent, 2014 elimination final
Uh Essendon vs north Melbourne 2001 biggest ever comeback
Essendon v north💪
I think syd vs geelong a long arse time ago in the semi....... but its wasn't exactly like 50 points down and a bit of a low scoring thingy
Still hanging for a video with the 2016 game against gws and WCE where nic naitanui scored a goal with one second left to win the game by a point. Still remember that game my old man and I lost our marbles when it happened 😂
will try my best
Can you please do a biggest AFL comebacks fallen short video?
possibly
@@Kaleen_YT Yay!
Collingwood v north
Biggest comeback in history was Essendon from 69 points down in 2001. History lesson probably needed…
but these are still some of the biggest comebacks. will look at that comeback in a later video.
1999 St Kilda blew a 63 points lead ( 70 to 7 ) vs Hawthorn and lost.

@@Kaleen_YT The 2001 game Essendon vs NM ( 69 points ) was also memorable because Wayne Carey did not play that day.

Richmond v Brisbane 2022 round 20
The 2022 finals with freo and bulldogs was one of the best games iv ever been too!
Another great one I remember clearly is Gold Coast vs st Kilda. Gold Coast were 26 points up at 3QT and Gresham kicked a goal with one minute left to win us the game by 4. Suns went scoreless that 4th quarter.
This year carton vs Brisbane
The Miracle on Grass is one of my favourite games, ever. I go for neither team, but my god was it an enjoyable second half

1st Biggest Comeback Essendon Bombers 69 points 2nd Comeback Bris 52 points 3rd Comeback Richmond Tigers 42 points
collingwood vs north melbourne 119-118 from 54 points down halfway through third quarter
2018 grand final
My favourite comeback was when Carlton was 44 points down in the grand final against Collingwood and came back
My great comeback was Hawthorn 63 points behind just before half time but kicked the last goal before half time. It was 1999 at Waverley vs St. Kilda
The thumbnail makes it McGrath punch’s the Geelong guy in one side of the face and is now gonna punch him on the other side
The biggest come back I've ever seen is when richmond vs Sydney and richmond made a come back in the third quarter
Collingwoods come back to North Melbourne
Every freo game this season.
there is no way you didnt say essendon vs north 2001
1999 St Kilda blew a 63 points lead vs Hawthorn and lost.
