I worked the load in and out for his Winston Salem show in 2012 on December 22 and he made a point to come out and shake all of the crew’s hands and tell us how much he appreciated our help and had his manager take down our shirt sizes. Then at the end of the night after we had finished loading out his manager handed everyone that worked the load in and out an autographed head shot and a crew t-shirt. He is a class act!👍👍👍👍
In 1935 on a dust bowl wheat farm in Colorado my Dad held his Momma as she died in his arms. He was 11. Dad went to WWII on a Merchant Marine ship then to Korea. He was at the Yalu River when the Chinese came across the bridges. That winter you could see his breathe. He married my Mom in 55. Her eyes were green. In Color touches the deepest parts of my ancestry and soul. God Bless Ya'll Jamie and his Father. POW turns till Death.
Im a Marine and no fucking lie everytime i hear this song I break the fuck down cause I know from experience first hand on the meaning of this song Ive been there. Ive heard this song a thousand times but everytime i hear it its like its the first time and all the emotions i,ve surpressed and feelings come fucking barging out. this is the first time i saw Jamie Johnsons father sing with him and well i broke out in crazy ass emotions cause i lost my father in the vietnam war in which he was also a Marine. Love yeah Pops guard those Pearly Gates in heaven 1 Day I cant wait to join you.
Exactly the same with me. You said it so well. Thirty three years law enforcement. Seen some bad stuff and I know you have too. Thanks for serving. Mom is gone and dad's not doing so well either nowadays. Thank you for your comments. Don't know you but your comment is exactly what this song does to me too. We'll meet someday. God bless.
Beautifully written even with the F-bombs. LOL. My husband is a retired 30 year Marine, Master Gunnery Sargent. My stepson was in the Air Force and when he came to live with us, those two couldnt say two words without saying, F this and F that. That being said, both are fine examples of what a true man should be. Love and admire both dearly. My husband and I both love Jamey Johnson and Eric Church. My favorite is Jamey though. I remember crying the first time I heard his song, "The high cost of living high." Don't think that's exactly right, but that song explained my brother without exception.
Beautiful song.yes I'm certain his dad very very proud. My dad and I sang lady antebellum's need you now 4 years ago. I was proud,he was proud.I'm going to get him learn this one with me too.this is TRUE music x
When his Dad started singing, my mouth dropped open. I love Jamey's voice. I love the rawness of it. To me its more emotional than the dramatic singing styles others have. This was awesome. I love this song. Takes me back to childhood.

I will be able to see Jamey in Webster Massachusetts stage right row 3 I can't wait for the show. I will say that in color is a song that everyone can relate to. In every day of life.
Both my parents were dirt poor Hillbillies/Ridge-Runners, all they had was each other. Songs like this keep their memories, and those like them, alive.
My dad was a musician in Nashville in the 60s that played with faron Young and he thought the world of Jamey Johnson he thought he was the best thing that comes along in a very long time and I too lost him a couple years ago and seeing Jamie with his dad really hits home what a blessing it must be to celebrate your success with your father gone but never forgotten. I hope and pray that I get to see my best friend again one day.

The Colors of memories he is making with his dad. The sacrifices parents make daily for their children in hopes that one day they have an easier, a better life than they did. And here is an amazing example of a son taking his dad thru each step sharing the memories of the spoils of making his dreams a reality, of their dreams coming true. Priceless. No amount of money Jamey Johnson makes will equal those precious colorful moments he is sharing with his dad! I love this!!
I'm a Yankee from Boston, been down here since 2005 and I'll NEVER go back because of GREAT Americans like Jamey! Love country music forever! Our enemies are white liberals!!!!!

I have seen really old photos of my grandparents & wished I could of seen them in color. I could look at my Dad's mom and she looked so stern & mad in the face like people say about me. I'm not mad that's just the way I look. Pictures were taken in Nashville, TN God please send me back. Jaime take me there and forget to bring me back to FL.
I wish I had the pictures from my grandparents. After grandma died about 10 years later, my grandpa got remarried. After he died, she threw all those years away.
Jamey and I used to drink beer together in a bar in Montgomery, AL. Pure Country was THE country place...had some great times there with some great friends. Love you, Jamey...tip one to those old good days next time you crack one open.
Wow! Like I need another reason to love him. Daddy gots some skills too. I admire and respect Jamey for his service to our great country. Just covered in awesome sauce

Wow- crying my eyes out watching this. I've loved this song since it first came out but it's one of those that I can't listen to very often because it reminds me of someone very dear to me. Legally he was my brother in law. He married my sister that was 16 years older than me so I knew him from my earliest memories. He came from a poor family actually a little more poor than we was. He left for Vietnam when he was 18 and he said he almost missed the bus from Memphis to leave to go to Nam waiting to see if I was going to be a boy or girl. He told me that story a thousand times. Wish I could hear it just one more time. R.I.P. Howard Leon Sanders 💙 Obviously as I grew to be a man I always forget to mention the in law part when I would introduce him or tell people about him. He was one of my heroes and always will be.

So many Vets are special. They all had stories but most were seldom told. WW I, WW II, not many left now. Vietnam, yes, they were hero's too. I got 2 DD Form 214's, 1976-1980 & 1981-1985. My service seen no wars. Thank God. Always support the Vets. The wars we fight today are somewhat different in a lot of peoples eye's. But to the solider, it's still always the same "Kill the Enemy" or "Get Killed". From that standpoint nothing much has changed. Great song. It brings tears to my eyes also Crystal. I love the song & Jamey singing here with his dad or with his daughters is so cool. That is family, sticking together. So much can be learned from that.
I wish I could still sing and dance with my dad. REST IN HEAVEN DADDY. I’ll see you on the other side. When i see You and Josh, I’ll know it’s my time, to follow y’all to Glory. Y’all damn sure should’ve seen it,” IN COLOR”

A shout out to your father. Seems like you did a great job. God bless you.
I see you didn't fall far from the tree, thumbs up for your Pappy.
He is the best country music singer since George Strait.
You just can't be an old country Farm guy they're rare and farbstein but you got to love them
And he wrote a few for George to sign, like Give it away
This one deserves a heart but I can only thumbs up!
I can't, i just can't. My heart!

That's why he is not promoted on MSM RADIO. He goes against Commy Control.
I believe he is his own man and doesn't apologize for it, as should be.

Can you see how damn proud he is of his son? You could see it the second Jamey started singing.
And just as proud was Jamey, it seems, of his father
Being the sibling of 8 brothers and me being the only girl around this song hits me down to the core. It is so beautiful.
0' his dad is so proud of him!! And his proud of him
❤❤
If I ever get a chance to go see Jamey in concert I'll call in sick at work if I have to.
Saw him when he opened for Skynyrd. Doesn’t get much better than that.
I've seen him 3 times. Call in please.
Twice in California with Willy. "Sick" both times and totally worth it.
I will be able to see Jamey in Webster Massachusetts stage right row 3 I can't wait for the show. I will say that in color is a song that everyone can relate to. In every day of life.
I would call in sick for you right after I call in myself then we can both see him.
You can see Jamey smiling. You can tell he was enjoying that!
Class act, and a hug from dad. That's a picture worth a thousand words.

I'm a 32 year old man but this song will always bring tears to my eyes
I’m 41 but it does me too. Reminds me so much of my grandparents on my dad’s side and especially my relationship with my grandpa.
This feels like I’m watching these two on their front porch belting one out! This is FAMILY!

I love this song. We are allowed to use our own voice to join in, and that's what it's all about. Having clean fun, and not being judged.
Right here, George Jones - this one is gonna fill their shoes.
What a great voice. Jamie seems like a truly humble man.
Wow, great find❤️🤍💙
As great as this song is with just Jamey singing it... the way he and his dads voices blend makes this song so much more awesome
