I really enjoy your videos but the end of this one was even better! Talking about expenses that go along with the sport really touched home. I dished the opens several years ago with the dream of making it big. It didnt take long before the expense started weighing on my mind and sucked the fun out of the sport I loved. I took a few years off and rekindled the fire. Now I just fish regionally within my means. I still love you watching you and hope the money never interferes with your fishing.
When you are in a funk and not cashing checks you are used to, it def can stack up quick. I am blessed on the sponsorship side, but it doesn’t change being used to cashing checks then not having those 🙃

Man your positive attitude goes a long way I just got into big swimbait fishin I’m out here in California and I am struggling that’s all I throw the whole time I’m out just head hunting I’ve caught 1 4 pound fish in the last 22 trips I don’t have forward facing sonar so I feel like I’m just out there fishing blind throwing it in good areas but I have no idea what’s there and I want to give up so bad and have a shitty attitude but watching you and your attitude really helps

I'm in a bit of a slump with this tournament season as well. And after sitting down to crunch the numbers I'm going to be just out of the cut to make it to regionals with only one tournament to go. But I see the mindset you guys try to keep and I'm trying to keep up the same mindset. By going into the next tournament with win it and I'll be in it mindset. Instead of the my season is already over mindset. So, thanks for not just showing all the good times of tournament fishing. It helps to see the bad times too.
Seeing the bad times keeps us focused on getting back to the good times 👊🏽

Would have loved to see you smoke down here on some of my home waters. One thing I’ll never forget and I know it’s tough to think about was the flurry at guntersville on that magnum spoon.. i have watched that so many times over the years.

I put on Texas rig crawl and started tearing them up. I tried all of the things that you are saying and everyone else and it wasn't happening. Didn't make since but that's fishing.

Hey Chris, got a question on how you approach some situations. Fishing in my local Tuesday nighter I was mainly fishing shallow and looking for bedded fish. From my gatherings, they aren’t quite on beds yet but I see big females cruising an area about a 15ft radius just back and forth. What should I do to try and trigger a bite from these fish
My favorite thing to do when big girls are still cruising is a neko rig on light spinning gear. Mark the areas you saw them cruising and then tournament day blind cast that neko around in those areas. Here’s one of my favorite/most successful days doing that in a tournament:
