Garbage has a great energy live, I have been enjoying postings of shows from around 2002 and such. 1. This is clearly the better pop Manson, and 2. She doesn't get nearly enough credit for her work in de-glamming, de-sexualizing "female" rock singing, she kinda took the assertiveness of Blondie and removed the doll act for the straight male gaze, without dressing in black leather and doing classic rock tropes like Jett. Obviously a both striking and conventionally beautiful person, it is the affect and the performance style I am referring too.
