Chevy Lead Sled

This is a true custom lead sled from the 50's. It went straight from the dealer showroom to the custom shop. This '54 Chevy started life as the Lime Gold Galleon. Along the way, it was worked on by George Barris and Joe Andersen. There's tons of custom car building history in this Macho Man Red Chevy. Dennis found this gem at Cruisin' Paradise in Hawaii.

I have a question that probably only you can answer. I'm not really a Ford man but the 57 fairlane is a beautiful car but I don't see too many of them anymore. I'm in southern California, there's many car shows and yet I think I've only seen 3 or 4? What happened to them? Did they all rust away? To the point where they're not worth restoring????

This car cost how much money and how much time and THAT'S the radio they put into it? I don't get it, they make radios that look period correct with all the functions of a modern one and he puts a cheap aftermarket radio in there.
